I have ordered my Star Wars Vanity plate, and it should be in a a few days.

Do you guys have SW vanity plates?

If yes, what do they say?

 

Mine have references to my username here at the JC, also with an eagle picture emblazoned on the plate to the left of the lettering.

Removed post, but will edit here for clarity: I have two plates, one on the front, one on the back, essentially the same, but yeah, plural.

mine is VYS945. Its not a vanity plate but it turns out to be a cool acronym. My fiance's name is Veronica. So I remember my number this way "Veronica your sexy 945"

A vanity plate is a license plate that you pay an extra fee to the Secratary of State Bureau to decide what letters and numbers are on it, rather than getting a random set.

They don't allow obvious dirty words, or anything that could be seen as derogatory or insulting.

There is a limit to the number of characters that can be put on each type of plate, so you get combinations like

DRTH VDR
and
IH8 JRJR

we have something similar over here in england, but we don't call em vanity plates.

we just call em 'custom number plates', they cost a small fortune as well.

 

They're forbidden in Holland. But I'd like to have one with MADINE.

I was supposed to get KAD 138 (the standard format here is AAA 000, so didn't cost any extra) when my parents got my new car for me, but the message got screwed up on the way.

If you mean CO as in Colorado, you should be able to get a personalized plate, but be ready to pay for it.

 

My friend in Chicago has Illinois plates that read: NRFHRDR.

 

I was shocked when i was able to score R2DETOO. I mean, I got those plates back in 2000. You'd think that all the possible Artoo combinations would have been gone decades ago.


Oh, and one time, my fiance saw a blue New Beetle with the plates: CAR 2D2

 

Oh, I thought you guys were talking about those specialized plates they have (like one for Univ. of Colorado graduates, US Marines, etc.).

Yes, CO means Colorado for me and you can personalize the plates.
