Here's what I have, either from Stackpole novels or Star Wars Adventure Journal #10.

    Rebel Slang about Imperial Fighters:
Breakfast: A TIE Element of two fighters (SWAJ#10)
Clutch: a TIE Flight, according to SWAJ #10, and in Stackpole novels it is the name given to the Tri-Fighters used by the Invids
Eggs,Eggshells: TIEs, due to their fragility (SWAJ#10)
    Eggbasket: a TIE wing (SWAJ#10)
Egglayers: Originally TIE Ground Targeters (TIE/gts), now used for TIE Bombers (SWAJ#10)
    Emperor's Dozen: TIE squadron (SWAJ#10)
    Eyeballs: TIE Starfighters/TIE/ln, both sources.
    Dupes: TIE Bombers, both sources.
    Motherbird: TIE carrying craft (SWAJ#10)
Nest: TIE ground base, typically a garrison. (SWAJ#10)
    Peepers: TIE/rc's (SWAJ#10)
    Sharps: TIE/fc's
    Squints: TIE Interceptors, both sources
    Brights: TIE Advanced/Avengers, Stackpole novels
    Trips: TIE Defenders, Stackpole Novels

    Rebel/Pirate Slang:
    Skulls: Z-95 Headhunters, Stackpole Novels
    Wishbones: Y-wings, Stackpole Novels
    Pointers: X-wings, Stackpole Novels
    Slims: A-wings, Stackpole Novels
    Crosses: B-wings, Stackpole Novels

    Imperial Slang
    Aurebesh Soup: Rebel fighters (SWAJ#10)
    Crosses: X-wings (SWAJ#10)
    Edges: A-wings (SWAJ#10)
    Piles: Y-wings (SWAJ#10)
    Spinners: B-wings (SWAJ#10)
Targets: Ground targets, be it vehicles, tanks, buildings or people (SWAJ#10)
Groundhogs: Ground based TIE pilots (SWAJ#10)
Vacheads: Space based TIE pilots (SWAJ#10)

Okay, now here's what I'm asking. What would some of the slang be for other fighters? I write some fan fiction on the side and want some ideas. Here's some of my suggestions, tell me what you think:

Assault Gunboats: Quints (due to wings)
R-41 Starchasers: Rauders (Due to their similar look to Marauder Corvettes, yeah I know this is pretty weak)
    T-wings: Coffins, or Streaks.

Did you have one for V-wings? Maybe you could use "Jumps" because of the Boost feature, for E-wings you could use "Bents" because of how the wings slant down.

The X-Wing Collector's Edition Strategy guide has the slang for the Xg-1 - 'Boat. There's also nova or nova-ing, which means something go boom

    What about T-Wing and M-Wings?

V-Wings could be fivers (V = 5), and E-Wings could be Sigs (they have the greek alphabet, and E's and sigmas look alike.) K-Wings could be hoods ;).

Or K-Wings could be "Heavies" because of the large Payload
