Stargate theme in AOTC?

    I'm wondering if anyone else thought that part of the AotC soundtrack is similar to the Stargate theme. The track is 5, and it plays strongest at 1:20.

    I don't have a copy of the Stargate music so I'm relying on my memory here. :)

    Yep. Far as I know it's an intentional homage, though I couldn't point you to where I read that. It was some time ago. In the movie its where the Refugee transport is taking off, right?

    Yup, it's when they're leaving Coruscant.

    I just remembered my dad telling me that the Stargate theme is in the Nutcracker ... and I saw it last year, and it is indeed in it, in the second or third acts, if I remember correctly. Must be a popular theme, huh? :p

    Maybe slightly... I know the Stargate theme is in the Austin Power's Shaggadellic Symphony suite. BIG time it's like the main theme.
