    QFT. Not to mention his remake of The Thing and the original The Fog being classics of the genre.

    AKA ruined the genre of Horror.

    We are only now slowly.. very slowly recovering from that crap.

    It helps if you completely disregard all the Halloween movies after 2 (especially the ones without Donald Pleasance), and all the Friday the 13th movies before Hollywood turned Jason into a zombie. And then a cyborg. [face_plain]

    EDIT--Yeah. It sucks. People are so into the zombie thing that they forget that it was Jason's mother who was the real killer in the first film.

    Stephen King is a little too weird for my type. I'd go with Wes Craven.
