Stop Smoking lolly pop!

I am not sure if this is just a local thing or nation wide, but I saw on the new that there is now a lolly pop that helps you stop smoking. Just one is the equivlent to a half a pack of smokes. Has any else heard of this? if so what do you think? I think it is a wierd idea, but if it works, then I guess it is good!!

 

But do they taste any good?

 

And are they addictive? If so, where can I find them?

 

I'm not a smoker but um...thats crazy, they got the patch, the gum, and now the lolly pop ? I say cold turkey!

 

It's obvious you're not a smoker. Cold turkey sucks. I need all the help I can get.

 

The problem with these things is their more addictive or bad for ya then smoking is itself.The patch has more nicotine in it than 2 packs of cigarettes,and the gum is more addictive.I havent seen anything on the lollipop thing yet,but I'm sure it will be just as addictive as cigarettes.

In some ways it makes sense. I've quit twice in my life, once for seven months, the other for two and a half years (I need to quit again!), both times cold turkey. I never felt it was so much a nicotine thing as a behavioral thing, oral fixation, if you may. You get used to having something there. A lollipop may be a little more familiar than, say, chewing gum. THey missedthe boat a bit with nicorette because it tasted so bad, you needed a cigarette to cover it up. One lollipop = 1/2 pack is a bit extreme, if you ask me. Will I be out of breath at the top of the stairs after getting to the center of a Camelpop? Interesting.

 

Oh I am a smoker. I have tried to quit and I was just wondering if anyone thought that this may be a legit way to quit!

 

the gum and lollypop make sense though... it gives them something to do with their mouth, unlike the patch.

 

But will this make the two year olds quit smoking?

I just realized why the gum tasted so friggin' bad....I was chewing the PATCH!! No wonder. I'm trying the gum tomorrow....I'm such an idiot! Pretty good rush, though.

I move that we all stop smoking lollipops. It's destroying us as people.

This opens up a whole new realm of addictive candies. First off, they could make a blow pop by putting the nicotine gum at the center of the nicotine lollipop.

But why stop there? Let's put other drugs in other candies. Not going anywhere for a while? Try a crack filled snickers.
