Lit Stories previously on SW Hyperspace

Does anyone have a complete list of all the fiction that used to be available on Hyperspace before it went belly up? The Wook has this to offer but they only include short stories originally from periodicals. I know there was more than that, though, because Hyperspace also republished several short stories and vignettes from various sourcebooks and campaign guides and whatnot, and I can't find a page on Wookieepedia that lists all of those together. Did anyone happen to write it down at the time?

 

Someone actually brought short story compendiums up on their FB page recently--no plans, natch.

 

Then what exactly was the point of all of those short stories and other material if they are now just going to let it rot?

 

With how successful the Omnibus program has been for Dark Horse, you'd think Del Rey would take notice.

 

The story group is blocking them, they'll be our "wiped episodes" saga

Thanks but it doesn't look like that category includes what I'm talking about. As an example, "A Tale from the Dark Side" was a piece of short fiction in the Tales of the Jedi Companion but it was republished on Hyperspace without the rest of the sourcebook. The same thing happened with "A Grand Admiral Returns" from the Heir to the Empire Sourcebook. That's the kind of thing I mean, stories originally published in a larger book or source that were republished individually on Hyperspace. There are like a hundred vignettes in all those old RPG sourcebooks, I don't think all of them made it up on Hyperspace, I'm just wondering which ones did.

 

I actually have a list somewhere, I think. I'm pretty sure its complete. Give me a minute.

Well, Duel, Equipment, and Storm Fleet Warnings were originally a part of the Hasbro Short Story Collection, which is available out there as a PDF. Additionally, Equipment was included in the paperback edition of Shatterpoint, so I wouldn't worry too much about being able to access those three short stories.

 

Too bad they couldn't bother to reprint them in a short story collection or something, but typical for them not to have the good taste to print those kinds of stories. I've always wondered what the Deposition of General Solo was like (the few quotes I've seen from it sound good).

By the time I heard Hyperspace used to have stuff like that it had been shut down already. Then again, I'd love to find all those old sourcebooks but I don't have the time or money or quite enough interest to track them all down.

 

It's pretty easy to find pdf uploads of most of them online.

 

For most. But some are devilishly hard to find.

I'm pretty sure I have hunted down almost all of them in he last year, but I need to get to organizing and cataloguing (and maybe printing) to be sure.

We really need to start a group of people who are trying to collect the obscure works of the EU.

I've seen a couple others talk about it. Perhaps we could compile a list and compare what we've all found so we can eventually put together one big set for anyone interested.
