I hate to tell you guys this but Dhruv Chanchani got arrested for shoplifting in Italy last year and spent time in Juvenile Hall. Apparently, he was beaten while in prison because of his role in TPM.

Dhruv had gotten quite such a huge ego after being in TPM that he was normally seen wearing fur coats and having an entourage. He had like three groupie chicks with him all the time and two bouncers plus some other fans who never left his side.

The kid was blowing his money left and right and was even allegedly found inhaling model airplane glue in his hotel room. He told his friends that the high he got from the glue helped him forget for a short while that he was an international star. In his home country of India, he couldn't even walk down the street without being mobbed.

In the end he was found in a cheap hotel room in Milan, clad only in a pair of TPM boxer shorts, high from aerosol inhalation, and nothing left but 30 mint gold coins.

A sad end to a Hollywood legend.

I don't know if it still works but, check out the following link:

Guys, that's true. I read that in an interview with Natalie Portman. Here's the quote:

Interviewer: Was there anything about the filming that bothered you.

Natalie: Yes, Dhruv. In one scene he fell to the ground into a puddle of his own vomit and was laughing for about 5 minutes. He thought everything was a big joke and that we should all stop what we were doing and watch him perform impromptu street theater. He was doing an hours worth of mime of him trying to get out of an imaginary box. No one could believe it. At first it was cute but how much can you take of a repetative mine act put on by a glue-sniffing, vomiting child actor wearing a full length mink coat in 90 degree temperatures? He stunk, real bad. And his parents were not on the set to control him because he had them deported back to India. At one point he got into my trailer and cut holes in my underwear. He then started wearing my under-garments on his head. He was unstoppable yet I found him charming at the same time. He promised to call me after shooting wrapped up but he hasn't.

    -- from a Starlog interview

I think this is a very important topic that needs to be addressed.

I believe that children should not have an entourage. For Pete's sake, it's just wrong. It gives them the wrong message about life.

Dhruv became so obessed with all the perks that went along with being a superstar that he didn't see the danger that living the jet-set life posed.

His brief but public relationship with the Olson twins is a perfect example of his craving to be worshipped and adored.

His public displays of drunkness and reckless driving are a warning to all child actors who come after him.

The public has yet to be told the full story of his bar room brawl with Gary Coleman.

Look, guys, I just think that TPM could have been alot better if Dhruv would have not been so hooked on airplane glue while shooting the film. His incessant demands for special treatment are now legendary in the industry.

Liam Neeson once remarked, "Dhruv messed up his lines so often that we had to do 40 takes in any scene in which Dhruv was in. In fact, Dhruv was actually supposed to be a big part of the film but his constant demands and drunken fits convinced George to cut his role back a great deal. The first film was really supposed to be about Kitster. That's what George had scripted out but while shooting George changed his mind after Dhruv walked up to George between shoots and vomited on his lap. It was aweful. At that point, George decided to limited Dhruv's on-screen time."

Yes, and there are alot more quotes regarding Dhruv's antics while filming TPM. If anyone has read any other quotes from the cast and crew, please post them as soon as possible since this is a very important subject.

JAKE_LLOYD: Jee, whiz, he stunk bad. He was always farting and flicking me off. It was hard to talk to him when we were filming the movie and act like friends because I hated him because he stripped after the camera turned off.

I found this on Jake_Lloyd's profile...

Hey, this is an old thread TrueJedi? So now you're recycling your old stuff? If that's the case, could you start another Qui-Gon thread in the PT forums. That'll go down a treat when you get torn apart. :D
