Anyone pick up this CD? I've been a Die hard Tom Kalnoky fan since Catch 22. I must admit, I've had this CD for a little while... but I went to pick it up at Best Buy today, only to find that all 30 copies the store ordered had been purchased within the first 24 hours of it being out! I was very happy with that, I'm glad to see I'm not the only one interested in them.
The CD itself is amazing, a perfect mix of the pretty much classical Ska from Keasbey Nights, and their darker more deep music that they made for Everything Goes Numb (I suppose its somewhere in the between. Ha!). I'm glad they're taking some effort this CD to move to more of the Center Stage... they even made their first music video.

All in all, if you like Ska, pick up this CD. If you've never heard of Ska, you DEFINITELY need to pick it up to find out what you're missing. If you hate Ska because its stupid punk music, this will be the CD to change your mind. Streetlight is a new wave of Ska that doesn't consist of stoners with no vocal talents at all.

I've been a huge fan of Streetlight since their first cd came out. They're just such talented musicians that they can crank out amazing songs through and through. I can't say on this cd or on everything goes numb that there is a single song that i don't totally enjoy. This cd also in my mind cements them as the greatest ska band still in existance. Reel Big Fish may have been around longer and they're still making amazing music, but Streetlight just has them totally whooped. Big time.

If you're a ska fan at all, you'll buy this cd. And if you're just a fan of good music in general, you'll also be able to appreciate this cd made by one of the most talented bands of any genre today.

By the way, I can't wait to see them later this month! They put on such an amazing show and this will be my first time getting to see them headline and it will be well worth it!

Ugh. Lucky. The closest they're playing to me is 3 hours away, and its a sunday so I can't make it. I saw them over the summer though up in Boston. Very good concert. Reel Big Fish and Less Than Jake were there as well, which made it even better. It was most likely the best concert I've ever been to.
