I've been wanting to make a thread about the wackiness of kids for awhile now but kept deleting it. I'm sure we can talk about all the funny stuff or sad stuff we see. So I'm finally making one but starting it off differently than I wanted to. I've always known it a staple of kids to sell lemonade. You know, a summer staple that helps kids earn money. But its illegal in 35 states. No I'm not joking. I just found this out. You can't sell lemonade without a license. Even if you're a kid. ....what? So Country Time Lemonade is fighting it. I for one would like to vouch for kid lemonade stands. Also it puts a wrinkle in my kid stories I'm writing as that was the plot of one story but can't do that now as it would be illegal unless I incorporate it in...but I mean come on. Lemonade stands. Leave them be. What are your thoughts on this?
it's "illegal" here in Massachusetts but rarely if ever enforced. I see kids selling lemonade, shoveling walks after it snows, walking dogs, washing cars, etc.
Kids in my neighborhood have lemonade stands all the time. I guess they are breaking the law. If I buy lemonade from said kids, am I breaking the law? What if they sell Kool-Aid. We did that when our parents didn't have lemonade mix.
They should emulate Sweden's prostitution laws, such that selling lemonade isn't prosecuted, but buying lemonade lands you in jail.
