IT'S... Another New Game!

Gamefaqs.com are currently running a kind of "vote-off" series of polls to decide the greatest video game character. The Super Battle Arena follows the same sort of idea, except without all the polls.

A specific category from the wide world of entertainment will be decided upon, and then nominations will be open for a few days (in which time you must post any fitting candidate that you think is in the running for the title of WINNER).

After nominations close, the battle lines will be drawn, and we'll hold a series of mini-polls (here in this thread) to see who will claim the title.

If all goes well, then we might even have a Ultra Battle Arena Special, where all the winners face off against each other... but we'll see how we goe first.

Anyway, presuming that you have understood the general gist of what I'm getting at, the first category will be:

Tek, I'm assuming that The High Plains Drifter is in reference to the Clint Eastwood Film of the same name. If I'm wrong, then feel free to correct me.

Also, I've decided that, in the name of actually getting this game underway, the cut-off will be brought forward to 11:59pm tonight. I know I said Friday, but I did that for the sake of people who might not check the boards every day. I've since decided that, it's tough cookies for them. 'Sides, there's still the voting process and future nominations that they can be a part of.

Um, you are forgetting one major factor. Who is the bad guy? I mean, if either character is the good guy, they will win. If one is an underdog then that one will win. It all depends on the circumstance. Without that these two would just be plugging away at each other for days.

 

I dont like Walker at all, I just wanted to see who people whould have kicking his ass!

Keith, it's like the "cheer-o-meter" principle implemented in many a pantomime. For example, if a few hundred small kids yell, "Wake up, Jeff!" then he will, undoubtedly wake up - although it may take one or two attempts.

In similar fashion, no matter which of the two is the "goodest" guy, is the underdog, or is deserving to win - it will be the one with the most support that will end up going through to the next round.
