    Richard Garriott's Tabula Rasa

I just found out about this a few days ago, and it looks really good. The class system is based on a branching system that slowly aquires more specialization. Also, they have a cloning system, where you can clone your high-level character, and that clone will have all the experience, but all of their ability and class points will be unspent, allowing one to easily try out new templates.

Storywise it's pretty interesting, and it's nice to see a more serious sci-fi MMO. Now let's just hope they start offering a free trial.

Yeah I play Guild Wars and I have been getting bombarded with this new games newsletter since they come together. I checked out what little I could find on it and it seemed very interesting. Looks pretty cool, and almost original at that. I'd think about playing it but the thought of paying for it every month just really turns me off, idunno. I know I'm not the only one.

Tell me about it. I'm rather cynical toward MMO's after three dissapointing chances I gave Galaxies, and the fact that I can't really get into a fantasy-based one like WoW. I'm keeping an eye on this one though, and I'll definitely give it a chance if they offer a free trial.

I'm surprised that nobody posts in this thread.

As for me, I'm feeling pretty crappy right now, I purchased the game only to find out that I need a DvD-Rom Drive to play it. So, I guess until I get get 30$ and make a little trip to Fry's, Tabula Rasa will just be a nice desk decoration.
