Tahiri Veila

Hey guys! I have never read any of the Star Wars books, but I read some stuff about it in Star Wars Insider and I became interested. I was also interested by the Tahiri Veila character. She seemed cool, and I was wondering like about her and her role in the books. Can anyone help me out? Thanks!

Anyway, as to your question about Tahiri. She is a teenage, I believe 14 year old, Jedi Knight. As to her origins, I believe she was raised by the Sand People on Tatooine, and she has developed a habit of going without shoes wherever she goes. She's relatively short I believe, with blond hair and green eyes. She's best friends with Anakin Solo, the youngest son of Han Solo and Leia Organa Solo, and the two of them share a very special bond through the Force.

Tahiri can be found in the Junior Jedi Knight Books. She and Anakin have been destined to go far, from the prophecy in EOV:C.

Btw, welcome The_Dark_Angel! The NJO is pretty easy to follow w/ no previous background, but there are a few others that are really worth a read for their own sakes.

Those are my fav's, at any rate.

Tahiri is one of the best surprises of the NJO because they pulled her character from a relatively obscure Elementary-School level series that I didn't even finish (because I never found any of the books after the first one). She is, however shaping up to be a significant player against the Vong.

PS- Hayden is quite an eyeful, but I'm rather stuck on Legolas from Lord of the Rings at the moment

 

I think I will start off with the Junior Jedi Knights and then read the others like Star by Star and stuff. Thanks for your help!
