Apparently this will have 3 episodes for Morgan Elsbeth and 3 episodes for Barriss Offee, who becomes an Inquisitor.

I cannot wait for these stories.

SO does this count as a distinct show, or the second season of Tales of the Jedi?

I think it’s just the second season. They burned away the Tales of the Jedi logo. Then again they did the same thing with the bad batch

They'll probably do a whole series of "Tales of the _____" anthologies. Hopefully, they'll do more TOTJ, though!

It really doesn't matter. Why do we have to label everything.

It's an anthology series named Tales Of The Empire.

Whether you look at it as TOTJ S2 or a new show, it doesn't affect anything at all.

Next one might be Tales Of The Mandalorians

Well, it depends.

Would they focus on Boba Fett, arguably the most overrated and worst character in all of Star Wars? Then I'm with you.

But if they showed origin stories for Din Djarin and Jango Fett, I'm sold.

 

Jango I would be down for, but I think you could probably do that in a tales of the bounty hunters

 

So when will they do Tales of the Mos Eisley Cantina? Or Tales of the Mos Espa Arena?

Why do you even bother using words? They are just labels.

The reason it matters is very straightforward, I would think, for Star Wars fans.

If this is not S2 of Tales of the Jedi, then it means we might have a S2 ... of either show. And maybe sooner than later?

It means more possibilities for stories, more episodes, and a better idea of what LFL will be creating.

I think it’s great that they’re expanding beyond just tales of the Jedi, and doing tales of blank because it means they can do literally anything

 

Yes, exactly.

This could be great for filling in narrative gaps in specific, interesting areas.

Seriously though, I’m guessing they’ll do a Tales of the Bounty Hunters at some point, and that’ll be when we’ll finally see the Boba Fett/Cad Bane duel in full.

It’s interesting, I think this short series will actually give us the story, character and drama which was a bit lacking in the live action series, particularly Mandalorian. In particular the Morgan episode from season 2 will have a lot more substance now. So glad they’re continuing this format, the “Tales”. It’s not what I was expecting when they first announced TotJ but I’m loving it, probably my favorite Star Wars content being made rn.
