When all the films have been completed, why can't george make a TV series, kinda like the young Indiana Jones Chronicles. Tales of the Jedi would be perfect

You know, he might. Money being what it is....
With CGI, it could be relatively less-expensive, but the quality will be significantly lower.

If Mr. Lucas passes away, whoever takes over the throne will most likely do just that - make a TV show or more movies.

    My two cents

Agreed, however you only need to look at something like the Dune mini series, or Voyager. Quality wouldn't be film grade, but would that really matter - as long as the star wars spirit was there?

Also would the show start with the regular intro, or would they come up with some cheesy opening seqence?

    Both.

Start it out with the Star Wars Burst going backwards, and then as it fades, then the cheesy montage. Using the theme music, of course.

If 20th Century Fox produces it, cool!

But the show will most likely be like a Star Trek TNG series. Not trapped on a ship, mind you, but minor missions, everyday activites. Perhaps not the action packed war we are so accustomed to in the Star Wars Universe.

It could be interesting or it could be very boring. I found Young Indy too educationally minded, not enougth action for me. Beautifully filmed and well acted, no one is saying the production values are not great. But, a little boring to watch, I must admit....

And the Droids cartoon and Ewoks cartoons when I was a kid - I am a Star Wars fan - still did not watch those. BOOOOORRIIIING!

So hopefull the SW TV series that we have just created for Lucasfilm will be awesome. If the Clone Wars Cartoon works out well, then perhaps you never know what Lucasfilm will do....

Ok , who would play who:

You may have to refresh my memory with Tales of the Jedi Characters:

    Xar Kun: - ?????

Ulic Qel Droma: - Duncan from the Highlander series

Val Kilmer would be pretty good as Exar Kun, methinks. Ulic Qel-Droma...hmm. I never really gave it much thought, but in his later years (e.g. "Redemption"), Kurt Russell would be da man.

While we're in that period: Keira Knightley as Vima Sunrider. [face_love] She's got just the right spunky-rebellious-determined-young'un ensemble for it. Which brings me to her momma - Jennifer Garner looks the part for Nomi Sunrider. No, I have never seen Alias OR Daredevil, so I am not basing this thought on either one of 'em. :p

These people will never do this series, but that is ok. We are talking a fictioanl series here....

Most likely a syndicated one, at best. Show is too risky for pnetwork primetime.

I don't think that it would go over well. That was the series that I really didn't like.

Sebulba and JEDI: you guys are one the right track but you need to flip the roles.

Val Kilmer could be Ulic and Adrian Paul (Duncan MacLeod from the Highlander TV series) would make a great Exar Kun. If you're a fan of the Highlander series you may remember that there was a story arc where Duncan becomes a bad guy, and Adrian Paul makes a great bad guy. Plus he already sort of looks like the comic version of Exar.
