Animated Shorts Tales Of The Underworld - May 4th 2025

I'm guessing we'll finally see the Bane-Boba Fett shootout.

 

This looks to be like Cad Bane's backstory. And we see one of the episodes with Boba Fett. And Ventress as taken on her very own padawan it seems and is alive when storm troopers are around.

Bets the Question what will the main next show be about? I know expect it to some totally new, post ROTJ pls ?

 

I feel like a lot of these plot threads being set up in these shorts are gonna weave together into a full show, so we’ll see.

 

Intresting Cad Bane and Assajj Ventress who have been in two main shows and i doubt this will be their last story in animation

Also looks like Boba Fett and his crew from Clone Wars will return in Assajj Ventress episodes. Hisinger droid and purple alien

 

It does look great! I can’t wait!

This is the best part for me! I’m all for seeing Ventress’s story continue but I really didn’t want a full series. This is perfect!

 

I am interested in where we see them again after this as i doubt they kill off Ventress after just resurrecting her. Will both be in the next main show ?

Have we EVER gotten a Cad Bane backstory in any tie in material? It’s pretty neat they’re gonna flesh out his background

“Tales of the Underworld is a six-episode journey following two notorious bounty hunters: former dark side assassin Asajj Ventress as she’s given a new chance at life and must go on the run with an unexpected new ally, and outlaw Cad Bane as he faces his past when he confronts an old friend, now a marshal on the other side of the law.”

 

Bane's appearance in TBB season 3 was his best since TCW season 3, hope his backstory will keep the positive trend without whitewashing him. Maybe the conflict with a friend will lead him to using Todo as companion who is totally obedient.

Action seems noticeably better and more large-scale than in previous "Tales of ..." series, maybe it is a sign that a new full series will indeed arrive soon.

 

The Dooku and Qui Jon episode is some of the best star wars ever...this looks good too

 

There was that one comic from the Titan Clone Wars magazine that had him encounter a childhood friend posing as him

 

What if its Bane jr and he must save his son from the sheriff

 

Looked pretty boring to me. I still stand by my opinion that bringing Ventress back was one of the worst decisions ever that will not lead to anything interesting fundamentally, and by the looks of it, it's more of the same: protecting some kid, this time Ventress is doing it. More Inquisitors. More of the same. Meh.

Cad Bane could be fun. It's not that difficult to make a solid western, but he is the character that is most effective as the villain, and you don't really want to ruin his mystery too much, like they did with Boba Fett already. I wouldn't wanna see baby Cad Bane, lol. But we'll see.

Definitely more interested in the Cad Bane one, but neither is all that exciting for me. Would rather (obviously) get the Cad Bane vs Boba Fett arc and Dark Disciple, before they got retconned by Disney.

 

Difficult to get excited about this TBH. The Tales of series has been great so far, but this feels like a step down. Ventress’ story arc had the perfect conclusion in the Clone Wars, we don’t need any more. And Cad Bane’s back story? Really?

I'm jazzed for this, but I'm really hoping future seasons can branch out beyond Filoni's pet characters. Dooku is the only one so far who's outside of that category.

 

I mean these Tales are his pet projects, so i think it will be about his characters or GL ones

 

This looks fantastic. Why don't we have live action content like this rather than stuff like Acolyte or the Skeleten crew stuff? This would kill in live action (if well made of course).
