Not sure if there is already on thread on this, but I can't find it.

This is the latest in this tragic story

38 year old Ben Fawley is admitting to burying Behl's body in Mathew's County.

A source close to the investigation tells 8 news Ben Fawley now admits Taylor Behl died accidentally while the two were having sex. We're told police interviewed Fawley for more than two hours at the Richmond City Jail. His statement is described as more of a rough sex defense rather than a confession.

The source tells 8 news Ben Fawley admits to burying Taylor Behl's body in Mathews County after she died, indicating he was scared. Fawley had already admitted to having sex with the 17 year old. These latest revelations came to police during a jailhouse interview Wednesday night. Fawley reportedly told a deputy he wanted to talk and investigators went to the jail to take his statement.

The source tells 8 news Fawley made the statements against his attorney Chris Collins' advice. This new information comes just one day after we told you a gas station attendant placed Ben Fawley in New Kent County in a car similar to Taylor Behl's white ford escort. New Kent is located between Richmond and Mathews County where Behl's remains were discovered.

She's dead because she was stupid enough to get involved with some creep on the internet.

The Johnny Depp wannabe probably did it.

It's a very tragic story, but not altogether suprising. It's also not that much different than that Natalee Holloway situation where some naive young girl gets involved with things that they shouldn't.

Did I excuse the sick whacko guy? No. If he's found guilty (and I think he is), then he should be punished to the fullest extent of the law.

She was naive and stupid, and she ended up dead by her carelessness. 17 years old is old enough to know better.

Natalee Holloway suffered a similar fate for her lack of better judgement.

Both of these are cases of media sensationalism to begin with, as there are much more important stories to be heard than the plight of two individual girls who ended up dead because of poor judgement (a lethal mistake around the wrong types of people).

It bothers me that the media single out stories like these for some perverse entertainment-type value (the sort of mystery-storyline which drives ratings).

How do you know that for a fact?

You are forgetting that this Man PLANNED to rape her, then KILL her for quite some time!

If a Sex offender like this guy plan something like this on an Innocent girl, can she really get out of it by what you call "Smarter"?

Sure he did, he's a whacko freak, a child molester monster, and most likely a murderer.

However, she was foolish to allow herself to be emotionally entangled with an internet predator at 17 years of age. She was old enough to know better not to involve herself with an individual off of the internet, and she ended up dead for her lack of better judgement.

How many times do we hear over and over about the dangers of such involvements via chat rooms and things like that? Adolescents, like Behl, know the risks. She wasn't stupid, emotionally needy, maybe so. She trusted someone and something she shouldn't have and should have utilized better judgement.

My soon-to-be cousins-in-law (who are 16 and 13 years old girls) know that it's a pretty dumb thing to do to get invovled with some unknown individual on a chat room especially at their ages.

Maybe Behl had poor parenting growing up (I wouldn't doubt it, so many parents have such poor parenting skills these days). Maybe she needed attention.

It's unfortunate that the poor girl had her life snuffed out so young, but it's a well known fact that there are malevolent people on the net fishing for victims like Behl.

The guy deserves what's coming to him in the way of punishment, and I hope he never gets out of jail.

However, she bears responsibility as well for her own actions, even though she didn't deserve what happened to her.

It should serve as a lesson to all parents and to adolescents to realize the inherent dangers that exists with such things. The criminal element is more sophisticated today than that of old where they used to offer candy to children or some other sort of scam to earn an unwitting child's trust.

Whoever gets charged with murder and is found guilty, will probably get the death penalty. Virginia has no problem with giving the death penalty to those who deserve it. I've been hearing about this story since she went missing, on the local news channels here. It's sad what happened to her.
