I see alot of threads about music, and mostly it is about some form of hard music.
Like metal, punk, rock. Or just some soft solo music.

I might have missed it, but.. are there anyone else that just loves to feel the heavy beat and dance all night long?

I have been to a couple of Raves in California and one in Mexico. After walking through the door you are assualted by greetings from those trying to sell you whatever drug is in vogue at the time. Pass them up and beer is not far away, a few of those, some heavy industrial techno music, and I become the best dancer in the world in my own mind.

I like techno/trance/industrial, but especially what I guess would be called more of a "house" type-Miguel Migs, Blue Six, Basement Jaxx. Never been to a Rave, don't know if I will.

i've never been to a rave, nor do i wish to attend one. i do dig techno, certainly not in all its forms, though, my favorite is the most hardcore...which is gabber. more popular in europe than here in the U.S.

check out: delta 9, rotterdam terror corps, omar santana, and inferno bros.

I've got a really cool techno song with Gregorian chant set to it. It's awesome.

Yes, I am a club kid, but mostly for house of the hard or funky variety. Although I do like some DJ Tiesto In Search of Sunrise every now and then. :)

I like disco too. ;) Big influence on my type of music now, and I like the way the divas sing. REAL divas, not Britney etc. :p I recently saw Aretha in concert. :)

I hope we can keep this thread up! I'd like to know who else listens to my type of music!

Oh, one more thing. My boyfriend is a DJ, and I have a few mixes of his. If anybody wants to hear, I can figure out how to get them to you. He's good enough to sound smoother than some places in my Junior Vasquez CDs, and Junior is pretty damn good. ;)

The Cheat is grounded! We installed this lightswitch for you so that you could turn the lights on and off! Not so you could throw lightswitch raves!

I like Trance, Progressive and Acid, but I'm fed up with Hardcore, Gabber and Happy Hardcore.

There are *too* many hardcore clubs in Spain, and the quality of the music doesn't matter anymore. Plus, Neonazi groups love that music and gather there...

Im mostly for Acid and Trance raves. I just love em' .. to feel the beat in your body as you just dance.

The drug problem isnt that big here in Sweden.

I've got the feeling that most of the hardcore comes from spain and italy.. and that most of it aint that good :/

One of my favorite kinds of music. I just have a hard time finding stuff to listen to that's not mainstream. I've tried listening to some of the online radio stations, but have a hard time getting into those.

The stuff I listen to now is mostly the Chemical Brothers, Prodigy, Crystal Method and such. Always looking for new stuff, though.

well, there aren't too many hardcore clubs here (none, in fact). i don't really dig clubs anyway, though..just the music. i don't care too much for happy hardcore...too bouncy, but i do love gabber. delta 9 was my favorite (as it was the only gabber i had ever heard before), but now i really love rotterdam terror corps...their beats are much more diverse and overall there's just more of a variety to what they include in their songs (i.e. not just samples from mob movies or horror movies).

oh, and just because neo-nazi's listen to gabber doesn't mean it's nazi music.

Ya, I know, Iwakura; my best friend is a gabber maniac and he's no Nazi. But the Neonazi gangs gather there, at the hardcore-gabber clubs. It's kinda sad.

that's too bad schwarz. too bad they can't get that kinda element out of there so the people who just dig the music ideology-free can enjoy themselves.

Well, I haven't been into any raves or anything, but I do have to say I am a *huge*
House/Trance fan. Especially Barthezz, Daft Punk, Basement Jaxx, Roger Sanchez..etc...

A true rave is actually a bit of an adventure. You will hear about one happening from someone who regularly goes to these things. You will then go to some small conveniance store where they sort of secretly sell tickets to get in. You might get directions from there to drive there yourself, or else drive to a location where a bus will take large groups to the location.

One I have been to was an hour drive away in an abandoned aircraft hangar, another was in a large two story wharehouse in Mexico.

I don't see the connection between this and music.
