    I'm just posting to see what everyone thinks about the those Ninja Turtles making a come back ? the new comics and cartoon seires ?

    I've read a couple of the comics and seen some of the new cartoon shows. I think its just as cool as when they first came out.

    Ok then what about the new TMNT comics ? guess i've been out of the loop for awhile but I haven't heard much about those turtles since the early 90s. I know there hasn't been any major changes in the story n characters.

    The Turtles never really went away, they just were pushed to the background. I am not so sure how this generation will deal with the Turtles, its not like when I was a youngster and we embraced with open arms. Besides that the latest movie was very childish, especially when compared to the first one which was very good, I still watch it from time to time.

    I don't think the new series has reached me yet. I'm interested to see what it's like. The Turtles rocked.

    -Cartoon-
    The new Turtles cartoon is still in it's early stages...they've only had one season. So far, it's not quite as good as the original, but it's still pretty cool. I DON'T want to sound "racist" or anything, but I don't like how they made Baxter Stockman black. He was white in the original...well, before he was mutated into a fly. (That's like making the Kingpin black in DareDevil...) And I don't like how they made April O'Neill a kid. She should be a grown woman.

    -Comics-
    Haven't read the comics yet. I'll pick up a few issues.

    -Action Figures-
    I don't know much about the new figures either. I used to have almost all of the originals!

    I love the Turtles! TURTLE POWER! 8-}

    I grew up on the Turtles -- my favorite cartoon when I was a kid next to Batman (yeah, I was a real tomboy). I'm happy they're back -- now my siblings can experience the same joy I got from watching it.

    I loathe all these new characters, toys, cartoons, etc. making a comeback. The suck complete and total ass over the old original versions. I tried to watch the new TMNT as well as the new He-Man, etc. and I cried they were so bad. :p

    I've seen a few episodes of the new toon. It didn't seems as good as the original, but maybe that's because I was a kid when I watched the original.

    Ninja Turtles was my favourite toon as a kid, but I have to admit that it wasn't the best toon around back in the day. That honour goes to ExoSquad. I can still enjoy that show even now, and it doesn't seem kiddy.

    Yeah, that's the only "come-back" one we're missing now. We've got the Turtles, He-Man, GI Joe, TransFormers...I've seen ThunderCats comics but that's it.

    Thunder, Thunder, ThunderCats! HOOOOOO!!! 8-}

    I grew up with the Turtles. I used to be as crazy over them as I am with Star Wars at the moment.

    As for the new show, I checked it out once. From what I saw, it definitely has a more comicbook-like feel to it. This can be a good thing, but personally, I still miss the crazy antics from the original series.

    The original Turtles is classic. Along the same lines as GI Joe, TransFormers, ThunderCats, He-Man, etc... But Turtles is the king! :D

    And there are two DVD's out that have the first six episodes of the new series. "Attack of the Mousers" and "Meet Casey Jones".

    I don't know how I like the new series. I have at one time owned every single Ninja Turtle toy ever released. At least over 180 of them. Inlcuding the technodrome, the Van, and God knows what else. But, aside from that, I loved the Turtles, and I was completely obsessed with them, and in a weird way, still am. The First Turtle movie kicked ass, in fact I bought it on DVD and watch it regularly. But the new stuff is poor in comparison.

    But, I hear that they're starting up the CGI movie they were doing and dropped again. It looked freaking awesome. BUt thats just heresay.

    Peace and Unity

    I decided this thread needs uping. Im still surprised at the new cartoon. Even though the plot lines get somewhat recycled ( Why won't Stockmen just Die!) It still keeps my intrest. I liked the whole whith the foot out of power theres a gang war idea. Something like that would happen. I wandered over to the offical site and read the first issue of the first comic. It got me wondering. Am I the only one who wants to see a mature version of the Turtles like on HBO or something. A show that catches the violence that the origional comic had. With actual death. I want to see that!

    Although I admit I did watch the cartoon series, I still much prefer the true original TMNT comic series, when they were dark, brooding, and violent. They became cheezy, pizza loving, happy smiley turtles with the TV series and toy line.

    Preach on brother!

    The original Turtles ruled!

    The Turtles sold out for better or worse (I too watched the cartoon series when it came out, and liked it), but the best were the black and white comics of the mid-1980's.

    Latre! :D

    The Turtles...ah, those were the days.

    But I felt the need to smack the living daylights out of someone the other day.

    I was watching a friend's kid for an hour, and he was playing with a new Ninja Turtle (Donatello to be exact), and I tell this 10 year old "Yeah, I remember playing with Ninja Turtles when I was a kid." He looks at me and says "But how could you have played with them as a kid, Ninja Turtles hasn't been out for that long."

    Damn near had a stroke, expecially after a similar incident with new Transformers. :(

    I remember creating my own characters and making my own comics of Turtles when I was a kid. It's strange getting old...

    Wait, I'm only 18, I'm not that old!
