Telekinesis, How good is Anakin

I just wondered how good Anakin is with telekenesis. In ROTS We see Dooku throw Obi Wan around like a rag doll, we see Palps throwing Senate pods around like Frisbees & we see yoda throwing one back. So what can Anakin do? He is one of the most powerful Jedi (more so then Dooku) & in the novel it is said that perhaps he?s already the most powerful jedi of all time (even though he hasn?t yet reached his prime). So how good is he? Could he be as strong as palpatine & yoda (remember little no training Luke nearly lifted the X wing)? Also how good are Obi wan & Mace?

 

First of, it's not telekinesis. It's the Force. They are different.

 

He can manipulate an apple across a dining table, impressive...

- But of cause he doesnt do that a lot, because that would make Obi Wan VERY grumpy

This thread proves my point that we don't see Anakin's power enough in the movies, especially in E3. Dooku's killing was impressive, but not yet enough.

 

Well even injured, we see him crush the operating room gear in a fit of rage and he's not even focused on these items. Also from that time he's had 20 years to season his skills with the force. Yoda sais plainly that size has nothing to do with the force. Luke complians that the X Wing is too big and Yoda makes the point that size matters not.

The powers we see Vader do are mostly done as needed and not for show. I'd bet good green money that Vader could easily pick up the Millenium Falcon.

 

well telling by the fact when he was put in the suit ...he crushed everything around him and in esb and threw stuff around like nothing to luke....so i would guess if he had his body parts back ...put this way if it was anakin facing sidious ...anakin wouldve owned his ass by throwing deflecting anything that sidious threw at him......

 

Shame we never got to see it. It would have been cool to see one enormous show of strength from Anakin (kinda like Jean at the end of X-men 2) if he is as powerful as hes portrayed in the ROTS video game (im not sure how much weight that holds, cannon wise) then I reckon he could have out done Palpatine & Yoda.

 

Yeah sometimes I'd hope GL would make a movie about how Anakin could have been ... lol

 

I agree. He was lambasting Luke with all kinds of stuff.

 

Anakin used the Force to toss all sorts of things in the Geonosis foundry. In RotS, I loved the subtlety of Vader closing the door on the Separatists.

 

According to Obi-wan, his abilities make him arrogant. It seems that it's virtually easy for him to do something such as lift and move objects, without any strain. We see that Yoda has to struggle to lift objects and he's considered to be pretty powerful. Anakin has an even stronger connection to the Force, thus lifting objects is a cinche for him.

 

How old of a SW fan are you? Telekenisis? Well I really don't know how experienced he is with the force because it doesn't show him use it much but i doubt that means he isn't strong in the force.

In the novel Labyrinth Of Evil, Anakin leveled an entire building. Haven't gotten much of a chance to read it though.

 

I would have to say hes one of the best at using the force to lift things. I also think he becomes better at it after the injuries seeing that he can't use lightining. I would think he would perfect that power along with the force choke. In ESB he is ripping things off the wall and throwing them with little or no strain at all. I think at one point he even attacks Luke with his saber while throwing something. Something we never again see in the movies. All in all I would say he very good at "Telekenisis"(or force throwing). No one has been as impressive as Sidious was with those senate pods but I think suited Vader rivals his abilities.

First of all, telekinesis is one of the abilities being in tune with the Force grants you. Would you all be complaining "he's not seeing the future, he's using the Force" if we were talking about Anakin's prophetic powers?

Anyway, I think it's important to point out that in ESB, Vader just lowers his lightsaber and hurls all manner of debris at Luke without any gesturing. Unless I'm mistaken, this makes him the only Force-user to move objects without any physical body movements at all.

 

Actually, we do see young Anakin tossing things around a bit in the Droid Facility on Geonosis. I'd assume that he had become even better over the years.

Yeah, this is quite a good example. That was early in life. Imagine what kind of powers he developed through his study of the dark side? Look at the way Sidious throws things around.
