Things have really gotten out of hand here. You get banned without violating any of the Terms of Service and explanations aren't given. The MODS are getting screwed over because they value their privacy. (I seem to remember a near MOD insurrection a few years ago) And what, may I ask, does the Passion of The Christ have to do with Star Wars? NOTHING!! It's just another example of TFN pushing their christian agenda on everyone. Need past examples?? They don't allow fan fiction with homosexual relationships. (Curiously, they will allow fan fiction with inter-species relationships. Homosexuality bad, beastily good?) Then there was the fron page editorial bashing a site (www.landoverbaptist.org) for it's satirical look at bible thumpers. Again, what doesn't this have to do with Star Wars?? Nothing! Just one of the site's brass got offended when he visited the site many years ago. And now we're getting updates on the Passion of the Christ. Who gives a crap? Not me! I come here for Star Wars news. Leave it at that. This site has always done a good job at annoying the people of other sites (T-Bone's, Episode-X, The Prince). It seems like the brass aren't content with just that anymore, and now need to annoy their visitors and moderators. EDIT - Random rants and drama we don't need right now. Please start a thread with a specific request or complaint, or PM the appropriate mod.
I agree with some of what you say. There's hardly any good SW news around right now, so we get to hear about Mel Gibson's latest movie, or whatever. Or downloading a 2 second Clone Wars commercial - whoopee!
*obligatory "I miss the good ol days" post* Oh, and the site's minority owner is a pastor, if that explains the connection with Mel Gibson's new movie
Cry me a river, please. If you don't like the site, well don't let the proverbial door hit you on your way out.
Well, technically the POTC thing is about box office receipts, which is sort of relevant. Oh, wait. I'm actually agreeing with the staff on something. Scratch the above, then. Carry on.
