That 70s Show: SW References

Hey,

I'm in the UK and we get That 70s Show over here and it's usually rife with Star Wars references. I'll give a few examples, and fans of the show can add to it.

I'm paraphrasing by the way.


Episode: Going to California

Eric: "I'm going! I have to get her back!"

Fez: "Aww. Why don't you just call her?"

Eric: "Did Luke Skywalker just call up the Empire after they killed his Aunt and Uncle? No. He hopped on the Millenium Falcon....and paid a little trip to the Death Star!"

 

There are too many for me to think of any specific ones. I liked how the show tried to capture the way certain people became totally obsessed with it. The references weren't random like they are in The Family Guy and The Simpsons, but were integral to Eric Foreman's character.

 

There have been a ton of Star Wars references, too many to count, but my personal favorite to date is this one:

Donna: Let me explain this to you in a way you'll understand. The Packers are like the Jedi, you're wearing a 'Go Darth Vader' jersey.


As a die-hard fan of both SW and the Packers, it had me rolling.

Recently I saw an episode staring Billy Dee Williams as a pasture. There were many references in that episode,as you can predict.

''Well for isntance,Eric sometimes tends to talk alot about star wars.''-Donna
'Theres nothing wrong with that,Star wars is the best movie made in history. Its hard not to talk about star wars!'-BDW

'Think of it like you're a jedi staying true to the lightside.'-Donna
''Jedi's aren't real,Donna!ITS JUST A STUPID MOVIE!''-Eric

'If you can't even remember darth vader, most hated enemy to the Jedi, then I guess somewhere down the line,I failed you.'-Eric

'Well I thought I'd get some extra points out of making the millenium falcon!'-Eric
''That better not be star wars related,or I'm going to kick your ass.''-Red
'No, its just a cabin that can make the kessel run in 7 parsecs.'-Eric

''From now on,The only words I want you to say are 'Use the force,Eric.'''-Eric

'It was a dark time for the force...'-Eric playing with his millenium falcon action figure kit.

*Eric picturing him and donna in the future* ''Hey,I was thinking we could go see the new Star Wars Sequel...''-Eric

*Trying to use the jedi mind trick* ''It does work.''-Eric


They might be alittle off, but I haven't seen some of the episodes in a long time. I'm just a big fan of SW and that 70's show.

Eric and BDW: ...used to bullseye womp-rats in his T-16 back home!

 

Wow, I bet the grass suit was itchy; I'm even going to think about what it was like with the cows.

One episode Eric had Donna dress up as Leia for his bday present. He was feeling up her bunns. It was really funny, but kinda sadistic. lol

 

The best part is Eric's line to BDW right after that. "I should be marrying you."

 

There was this episode when Donna says to Eric they should not have sex for a while and she's all like it would be like star wars , Like a jedi !
Then Eric says : That just a movie !! .

 

Family Guy was also riddled with Star Wars references.

 

I was watching the episode where they see Star Wars the other day.

It starts with the crawl and then the Vista Cruiser passes over the screen.

And in the end, Eric hits and asthmatic kid. The kid gets up with his hand over his nose, breathing like Vader.

Ahhh, that's such a good show.
