Has anyone ever picked up Star Wars merchandise at the 99 cent stores? Today I found AOTC Valentine's Day cards, they're foil and come 30 to a box. Previously I had found a 2004 Art of AOTC calendar. Before that an Aliens & Creatures day planner. I could go on and on. Some of the other SW items I've bought there include Darth Maul bandaids, notebooks, Jango candy dispensers, Dooku lightsaber candy dispenser, various SW Pez dispensers, lollipops with SW plastic heads(The Vader top sits atop my VCR and looks like a mini-bust, very cool).

I'm probably forgetting some SW things I've bought from the 99 cent stores. Actually I'm sure of it because I've been buying SW things from those stores for many years now.

And all these things are 99 cents each! :D

Sweet. I have like three 99 Cent stores in my town...I've never thought of looking for any SW stuff there. But I guess one of these days I should.

I would definitely recommend it and just to make sure here I'm referring to the chain of 99 Cents Only stores. I don't know how spread out across the country they are, but there are several here in L.A.

Just about every time I go in there's some Star Wars item I find and purchase. There are items that are there that I don't buy for whatever reason like Padme bubblebath soap, Neimoidian cups, Jar Jar underwear or any other Jar Jar item. On the flipside if the item is just too cool like the Jango & Dooku candy dispensers, lollipops, etc. I pick up several and since they're 99 cents it's hard to beat.

There are no 99 Cents stores in South Texas, though the items LMM refers to also appear at various dollar stores. At Dollar Tree, for example, I have seen the lolipops, the Jango candy dispensers, koosh balls, and many other SW-related things. At Dollar General I've seen the Pez Dispensers and bandaids. You can find lots of SW things at dollar stores if you're interested in the kind of things they happen to have.

Family Dollar stores also used to be a good place to pick up Star wars stuff. In fact, the only time I ever saw Flashback Baru figure was at a FD, plus I know they had a ton of POTJ figures a few years back.

We have generic Pound Shops here in the UK - they sound similar to the dollar shops. The only Star Wars related items I have found in my local ones are a real cheap-looking backpack (with Jango on it) for kids
and a plastic-covered full-size AOTC poster. That item I bought and it is hanging on one of the walls in the living room.

I found a few Ep I items at a drugstore at some arcade in Bournemouth, England. I got a Naboo Obi Wan and a Soft Good Jedi Knight Obi Wan both for 2 Pounds each.
They also had a Deluxe Darth Maul and some Ep I JoJos.

Anyway, Forbidden Planet (London, New Oxford Street) is selling Darth Maul (Final Duel) figures for one Pound each. Cool!

Hey PhantomMenace, where exactly in Texas are you? I'm in the East Texas area and all the Dollar Generals around here have the Deluxe Saga figures for 2.00 each.

They had Yoda with the super battle droid, C-3PO and the Battle droid with the factory, Anakin and the Genosian that can "cut" apart, Mace Windo and the battle droid, and the Obi-Wan you can flip onto the platfrom.

I had never even see the Yoda and C-3PO. So I snatched them up real quick. Sure beats paying 10 bucks a peice.

Billy_Dee_Binks - have you been to their new Megastore yet? Pretty nice. The New Oxford Street store is now a clearance store. (I picked up a basic Zam Wessel for about £2 after Christmas there).

"In fact, the only time I ever saw Flashback Baru figure was at a FD, plus I know they had a ton of POTJ figures a few years back."

LOL... that's the only place I ever saw Aunt Beru as well. That day I bought both her and the Flashback Anakin from ROTJ. Never saw either one again. :)

They used to have tons of POTF2 figures several years ago. I remember getting the Royal Guard and Snowtrooper there like in 1997. Then they recieved some POTJ stuff. I bought FX-7, Eeth Koth, Plo Koon, Saesee Tiin, and K-3PO (all of which were hard to come by around here) from there as well.

Gobi-1... I'm in South Texas. The Rio Grande Valley to be exact. I haven't gone to Dollar General in quite some time. I'll be checking them out soon to see if they have any of these deluxe figures for $2. I recently got the Yoda and Super Battle Droid and C-3PO with Battle Droid for $3.99 each at KB Toys. If they do have them for $2 then that would be an incredible deal. The only one I'm slightly interested in is the Mace with Battle Droid.
