    Part 2

    -------------------------------------

Discussion of New Episodes - Rules
    (1) One of the mods will post each week's episode thread a day or two before it airs on Disney+.

    (2) Official episode commentary may be posted in this episode thread.

    (3) Discussion in the actual episode thread will be limited to that specific episode, NOT future episodes; past episodes may be referenced. Speculation based on released material is permitted.

    (4) Acolyte episodes air on Tuesday on Disney+. Anyone who shares plot details about an episode before then must use spoiler tags. After that folks will begin discussing their reviews and thoughts without tags which will likely include spoilers. To anyone concerned about being spoiled before watching the episode it is your responsibility to avoid the thread until you have had your chance to view.

    (5) All leaks and rumors must be spoiler tagged until they are either proven or disproven.

    (6) Reviews for each episode may be posted once they have aired. One of the mods will add a grading poll to that episode's discussion thread.

It will be a day long remembered...it has seen the end of the Clone Wars with the Bad Batch and will soon see the end of the High Republic

Still intrigued, nice fight scene choreography. The endings of these episodes have felt so abrupt though. That whole scene on Khofar looked incredibly cheap, something out of bad SyFy channel movie.

Has the look, feel, and dialogue of a fan film. If it was a fan film, I'd say the acting is decent. It's a pretty straight forward simplistic story line so far.

I really hope we get a "bloody ell mate" at some point.

A very solid episode and together with the first episode this is a promising start for the show. I can’t wait to learn more about what happened 16 years ago. The fact that a Jedi Master would kill themselves over is pretty shocking.

This was a solid follow-up, good intro for Qimir. I appreciate that they're not dragging out the whole "Osha is guilty" thing.

Episode 1 was better although we get the plot and character more fleshed out in this one. Sometimes the pace is a bit off, especially at the ending. And that ending. Welcome to Khofar. Very Dagobah like. And it felt like those naive fun 80s adventure films. I am slowly warming up to the main characters. Its good to see Sol starting to feel the heat a bit more here, and i really like this character. Stenberg is good, although the twin plot is not really that surprising - now its established so lets see where they go with it. A broader perspective i guess. The show feels nothing like Andor, so i dont get those comparisons at all. Its much more lighthearted. I like them to go darker, but the warm nostalgic prequel feel is a welcome one as well.

Yes, and the Wookie Jedi looked way too Bigfoot for me. Otherwise, I enjoyed the first two episodes though.

something to do with the lie that there’s “peace”. Maybe a certain Jedi Master knew there’s Sith and that’s a dangerous secret to let out. So he takes a vow of silence

I think its intential that the feel of some of the locations are like that. I agree on the abrupt endings though and here - is the main issue i have - that the Disney + episodes in general could have done with 10 minutes extra time.

I don’t find the endings abrupt at all. It feels like a natural end point in each.

    Hella boring.

So much cringe line delivery. I want to see the fat Jedi fight. Dude should have gone a bit longer in acting class.

Wth was that excuse for a Wookie about?

When I watch SW I want to see sword fighting not kung fu. I don’t care if it’s cool looking.

An interesting theory. I enjoyed both episodes. I had a couple of niggles with a couple of the ship and character designs. However, I guess the ships I can let go as this is set 100 years before TPM and, just like car design in real life, aesthetics change. I thought a couple of the non-human Jedi looked a bit more Star Trek than Star Wars. Wookie Jedi was too Bigfoot for me. But still, as I said, I enjoyed it because it's new Star Wars. Like others, I think the Sol is shaping-up to be a really interesting character.

I say they feel like old serial cliffhanger type of endings. The extra time i would have wanted was in general for the whole episode.

I think the real problem is the style of the end credits themselves. I appreciate them paying homage to the movies, with the “iris-out” thing, but endings like these are better served with a hard cut to black and a few seconds of silence, before the credits actually roll.
