Mini Series The Acolyte 1.08 (SEASON FINALE!!!) - Discussion Thread (Spoilers Allowed)

Finally the finale.

I predict the season ends with this one.

 

It was a pleasure to accompany the episodes here, one more, hope for at least a 50 minutes episode.

 

I'm still wondering if both Osha and Mae become one. They do that mist magic stuff and become a new being. Power of two, as one, whatever. Ready for the dark side.

Or is that just too out there even for SW. Even for the people making this show.

40 minutes to wrap up this story is a challenge. I suppose they all get to Brendok. I would imagine some kind of duel or fight with Qimir/Osha v Sol/Mae. Sol saves Mae (and or Osha) and then dies. But maybe not really and he goes on living in secret/exile.

Osha joins the dark side with Qimir. Rwoh arrives late and blames it all on Sol. She reports back to the Senate. We get Ravencourt of perhaps the Sith Master behind it all.

She won't appear. We could see her in future seasons, but her story is done for now.

That means we should expect the final conflict to just include the obvious characters.

I expect Brendok to be in the final episode and we see death of Sol ending The jedi Story.

Probably for the best. Not the finest of performances, I'd say.

Always nice to have Star Wars and I'll watch anything Star Wars, unfortunately it won't be because I'm excited to see what happens, it is simply because I'm a Star Wars fan. I have no vested interest in this show at all, I don't really care what ends up happening but will watch it simply so I know what happens. I feel sad that I feel this way about this show, I'm normally really positive about Star Wars, good or bad.

 

Its the opposite for me. I think its the first time I'm interested in a show's finale since Mando season 2. And, I guess, Kenobi. But I just watched that because of Hayden and Ewan.

 

If you aren't having fun watching it, then why finish it out?

 

I see no path forward for them to answer in this finale all the questions I have.

I’m hoping we see a shocking character death, a brand new Sith or two, and a satisfying end to this season’s story.

I’m ready for this show to be over, or at least the season. After all the expectations, disappointments, the discourse (also disappointing), dragged out plot, I just want some degree of resolution.

 

When does skeleton crew start?

Beyond Andor Season 2 have any other Star Wars series started shootout?

 

They all have started some shootouts lol. I heard Mandolorian+Grogu movie has started shooting, is this confirmed? Not sure of any other shows.

I'm looking forward to wrapping this series up as well. Tons of questions needing to be answered and the direction of the last few episodes leads me to believe we won't get everything cleared up.

I think tomorrow I'll list my top plot lines that need to be answered. The power of many (plot threads left open).

 

I am excited for this finale and trust they give a solid ending to the season. I have enjoyed it. Its a decent show

Interesting but useless if not developed in the show....that's not how this should work implying stuff in an episode and making a commentary after it every time to give background...ehehe am I wrong here? I hope all this is then somehow included in the serie... I do not appreciate this kind of functioning where I watch and then I have to watch all the interviews and read all the articles to collect information about the episode that was not in the episode...am I being old fashioned here?

Sorry for telegraphing this comment I am busy at work and I am having a shi//y day
I almost lit up the emergency lightsaber we have behind the bookshelves in the office this morning... yep that is true... I have two star wars nerd colleagues like me even if not that bad ehehe and we hid the daber with a panel thsat says " ignite in case of rebellion"....

 

They merge like Station from Bill and Ted. Probably during an eclipse. Then 2 Becomes 1 by The Spice Girls plays out over the end credits, because pop music in Star Wars is a thing now.

Nailed. On.

 

so sad the finale is tonight.
