If GL did not mention ANakin as the Chosen One,Luke might the Chosen One right? After all,who says he is 100 percent confirmed Anakin's son maybe Leia is the only real children of Anakin and Padme. And her twin Luke is the product of Padme and the Force.lol

Well, it's a good thing Lucas was clear on the subject.

Yeah,if not, just in case Luke is not actually his real son then.............Obi-wan and Yoda must be ROFLing in the netherworld during ROTJ.[face_laugh]

    Wow.

So, either Padme had an affair and needs to take poppa Vader onto the maury show or Leia came out and Luke was just in the delivery room and they decided to pin Luke on Padme.

"Who knows, this girl is so messed up right now, we'll just tell she had twins."

Now that you mention it, I have noticed distinctive African features on both Luke and Leia.

OK, this is just one of those times where you actually DO laugh at your computer screen! It's like Abbott and Costello in this thread. "Who's on First?"

    Classic!

The Mace comment was a JOKE! Not meant to be taken seriously...

But I understand your original question. I just happen to disagree with it. You're saying, "What if Luke and Leia were in the womb together, but only Leia was the biological offspring of Padme and Anakin yet Luke was created by the Force?" THAT'S what you should have said, my friend.

At any rate, no, I believe Luke and Leia were both biologically conceived by Padme and Anakin. This makes them "very strong" in the Force, but not as strong as their pre-Vader father once was.

Nope, confirmed by Lucas, the same potential as their father.

I know that Vader has some personal problems to deal with but still Luke manage to hold on in a fight with him And even perhaps by luck beat him in ROTJ,this could hint the possiblity of being as strong as Anakin,so he gt so much midichlorians and heroic deeds shouldn't he be consider a candidate for the Chosen One if GL have not interfered?

And oh yeah, perhaps Leia can be the Chosen 1,look she seems to lack some good-looking genes her parents possess, look at the banner above, who is the ugliest among the Skywalkers?Jz joking.[face_laugh]

Theres a thread about that in the OT, and I believe Vader let Luke win because he had lost the will to keep fighting. Luke doesn't really become any stronger then Anakin till way after ROTJ.

Luke couldn't have been the Chosen One, because his demise would have been to fry like a pork sausage at the hands of the Emperor if the real Chosen One hadn't intervened.

But people could also argue "That was Luke's destiny- to get owned by the Emporer so Anakin would intervene". Personally, I've always believed it was Anakin who was the chosen one- why the hell else would Lucas suddenly invent the concept of the Chosen One?

It -was- Luke's destiny to fry so the chosen one would snap out of it. That wouldn't make Luke the chosen one, it would make him the overcooked one.

If the Son Of The Suns is canon, yeah. There's debate about it, but it was originally written to refer to Luke and doesn't fit Anakin.

The Son of the Suns thing has been around for a long time now, so I don't see much problem with Luke being called that.

The Son of the Suns epithet (referring to Luke) was only ever in one of the draft scripts for Ep IV. So since it did not make it into the final version or any EU its canonicity could be dubious. I suppose that there's nothing to contradict it or say that the name could not be applied to Luke but it has never been used in any official source. So maybe it's one of those things that'll be a non-canonical unused concept until it gets referenced in a G or C-canon work.

Um, Anakin has the most African features of all of them. Full lips, that rather adorable meaty, flat nose... Anger.. Ex slave.... Mmm mmm mmmmmmm

Besides, Padme wasn't a floozy. She was a good girl that liked a leather wearing, angsty bad boy. Happens to the best families all the time, LOL...

Anyway, that was some good casting. Leia and Luke both look like Anakin and Padme in different ways. Way to go Robin Gurland!

    awesome..

If you listen closely, you can hear Son of the Suns being said in the background sounds during the coruscant celebration scene at the end of ROTJ..

Although it perhaps sound a bit like "Son of the Suns" on Coruscant in ROTJ, Pablo Hidalgo found out the truth about a while ago and explained it in a Hyperspace podcast. By asking the sound people and listening to the original recordings he found that what is being said is some made up Huttese words by Ben Burtt. When they were doing the new SE celebration scene several crewmembers recorded some cheering in a group session with some lines like "down with the Emperor" and "long live the Republic" being said. One line was in Huttese and it was something like "zhe sha ta gha sha". Mixed in with the rest of the sound in the final version it starts to sound like something in English and has been mistaken for "Son of the Suns". The same audio was then used for the celebration on Naboo at the end of TPM which is why some have also thought that "Son of the Suns" is said there.
