I'm not sure if this topic has come up before but I had to figure this out sooner or later.

After watching Ep III, I saw that there were at least 5 battles if not 6 going on at the same time. It bugs me what the actual order is of these last few battles. Some start before Ep III, and some during. The scenes they show us have some beginning, and others ending. But after a while it gets confusing, and I realize that any separation between the start of each battle is a few hours or minutes, unless the time period is stretched when we watch the movie. This also shows me that maybe reading EU material helps.

So I ask that we figure out, by the start of each battle, the order of them. I'll list them to where they best seem to fit, along with the ones shown primarly in the movie. Add anything missing if needed.

    (All within 19 BBY)
    Battle of Tythe
    Battle of Nelvaan
    Battle of Cato Neumoidia
    Battle of Boz Pity
    Battle of Felucia
    Battle of Saleucami
    Battle of Mygeeto
    Battle of Coruscant
    Battle of Kashyyyk
    Battle of Utapau

The way I do it (simply with the battles you've listed):

First Battle of Boz Pity (Obession)
First Battle of Saleucami (Republic) [judging by Quin's "for five months" comment]
Battle of Nelvaan (Clone Wars) [Leland Chee says this goes after Tythe, but it works much better here, just before Labyrinth of Evil, or at least, just before Brothers in Arms]
First Battle of Cato Neimoidia (Labyrinth of Evil)
Battle of Tythe (Labyrinth of Evil)
Battle of Coruscant (Reversal of Fortune puts this while Aayla and Bly are en-route to Felucia)
Battle of Felucia (Reversal of Fortune)
Second Battle of Boz Pity (Revenge of the Sith)
Battle of Kashyyyk (Republic Commando, we see Yoda and his troops arrive at the end of the game)
Battle of Utapau (Revenge of the Sith)
Second Battle of Saleucami (Revenge of the Sith, Reversal of Fortune)

Round about now, Order 66 and then Anakin deactivating the battle droid army brings a sharp conclusion to any ongoing battles.

Mygeeto is anyone's guess, although going from Labyrinth of Evil the battle began around the same time as Saleucami and Felucia. Ki-Adi-Mundi is there all throughout the film, at least. I'm also unsure when the Second Battle of Cato Neimoidia (where Plo Koon is seen in the film) began, perhaps mop-up operations had been going on since the first?

Ok, so it only gets more confusing when they have two battles at one location, because some resistance reforms there. Then Order 66 and Anakin storming through the Temple occurs while both sides are still fighting. But it is only after Anakin deactivates the battle droids (after killing all the Separatists I assume) does every battle between clones and droids end. I forgot about that droid deactivation.

    *SPOILER*

    Still questions though.
Would it be safe to say that the Second Battle of Cato Neimodia occurs when Plo Koon gets shot down, as we see it in the movie? I believe I remember there being some damage to the buildings on the bridges there already when they fly through, indicating previous battle, but they flew through rather fast too, so its hard to tell. Also when Ki-Adi-Mundi leads the troops on Mygeeto, part of that bridge is damaged, and according to the Art of Revenge pic that was posted, it was mid battle. Would he charge into battle only after previously weakening defenses, as that would indicate it was raging for some time.

    My head hurts now....

I have posted your timeline on our Wookieepedia, very helpful to understand when its lined up against everything else, and yet I'd like you give it a look. Maybe there's something else out of place that needs rearrangement.

Accoridng to the ROTS novel, Mygeeto begins sometime after Coruscant but before Kashyyk.

My timeline has Mygeeto between Coruscant and Kashyyyk now, after the second battle of Felucia and before the second battle of Boz Pity, as so:

18.5 BBY - Second Battle of Coruscant
18.5 BBY - Second Mission to Felucia
18.5 BBY - Battle of Mygeeto
18.5 BBY - Second Battle of Boz Pity
18.5 BBY - Battle of Kashyyyk
18.5 BBY - Battle of Utapau
18.5 BBY - Second Battle of Saleucami

I did use Clonewarz.com for help on the placement of these and other battles.

Ah blast, in our RPG session we've had it going for a month before Coruscant. :p [face_blush]

Anyhoo, slight update: It's not the Second Battle of Boz Pity (as I originally thought), it's just that Boz Pity is used as a staging ground for Republic forces, which explains Quinlan's quick transit from Boz Pity to Kashyyyk.

And even if there was a battle- the mention of Vos going to Boz Pity in the film I think takes place before the mention in the novel that Ki-Adi was arriving on Mygeeto (which i'm almost sure of, as the ORS briefing was the day after the coruscant crash landing).

Where is the mention in the ROTS novel of the Siege of Mygeeto beginning? I had thought that the battle had been goind on since at least Labyrinth of Evil.
