Discussion of New Episodes - Rules
    (1) One of the mods will post each week's episode thread a day or two before it airs on Disney+.

    (2) Official episode commentary may be posted in this episode thread.

    (3) Discussion in the actual episode thread will be limited to that specific episode, NOT future episodes; past episodes may be referenced. Speculation based on released material is permitted.

    (4) The Bad Batch episodes air on Wednesday on Disney+. Anyone who shares plot details about an episode before then must use spoiler tags. After that folks will begin discussing their reviews and thoughts without tags which will likely include spoilers. To anyone concerned about being spoiled before watching the episode it is your responsibility to avoid the thread until you have had your chance to view.

    (5) All leaks and rumors must be spoiler tagged until they are either proven or disproven.

    (6) Reviews for each episode may be posted once they have aired. One of the mods will add a grading poll to that episode's discussion thread.

Everything about tonight’s Mandalorian leaked in advance (it all sounds good), so I’m actually more intrigued by this now.

It was nice to return to actual clone things last episode, hope this ones keeps that going and by the sounds of things, it will. Maybe they can knock Cid off at the start and we can celebrate.

Yep, its a great episode, real shades of Seb and Kallus actually but also, really different and man, the soundtrack!

I love everything about the actual clones in this season, wish we stuck to that the whole way.

    Extremely emotional episode.

Two stunning Star Was episodes tonight.

Poor Mayday and that lieutenant had it coming, and you know who the Batch is rescuing next week. I wonder if the doctor is actually Nala Se

I honestly got a bit teary.

Great episode of Star Wars TV, that really reminds us how interesting the clones can actually be as characters. Don't know why there aren't more novels about them, it's not as if we'll get confused between them on the page.

Mayday is an instant classic character.

This was one of the most emotional Star Wars episodes I have ever seen.
Crosshair seems to finally waking up about the Empire and understand that the clones, even himself, are nothing but cannon fodder to the imperials. His friendship with Mayday was touching and when he take out the Lieutenant, that was most satisfying. Now that he is on Mount Tantiss, I wonder what will the Empire will do with him.

    Howzer, I'm guessing.

Also, wow. What a masterpiece. Tbh I didn't really care about Crosshair's character before this but I'm solidly invested now.

Excellent episode. Crosshair has been my favorite member of Clone Force 99 since day one, so I'm always happy to see more of his story.

Mayday is an instant favorite. His wrappings remind me of Dengar, and while he's a survivor... too bad he didn't survive. But that's not surprising and it's nice to see he was the catalyst for Crosshair to have a change in character and finally say enough is enough (of course, the Lt. was part of that... and had it coming... ). I'm not totally sure if this or episode 3 is my favorite; I'll have to rewatch ep. 3, but, for now, I think I'll give 12 the top spot, since Crosshair has made a major step forward. Man, I hope the docs don't mess him up too much...

The sound track was stellar. The snowy outpost planet is cool (har, har!) and remote, forgotten outpost and "frozen in" plots always add an element of eerie suspense. The "snowpeople" sound like sandpeople. The way the pressure mine was designed, it looked more like the trigger plate would only be located in the middle, not alone the edges, but whatever. The physics of the headshot-crash sequence were well done.

    My ranking through 12 episodes:
    12, 3, 7, 8, 9 &10, 11, 6, 1 & 2, 5, 4

Two excellent episodes of Star Wars today. This one like Episode 3 was another brilliant Crosshair episode and an absolute emotional blast. The Bad Batch is really knocking it out of the park to compete with Mandalorian and finally back to it's level after a hit and miss first half of the season.

The Lieutenant was the perfect sleazy imperial and I love how Mayday finally helped Crosshair see how expendable he is to the Empire. Actually thought during the episode Crosshair and Mayday might have made a good bounty hunting duo but sadly Mayday didn't survive the episode.

I do wonder what they'll do to Crosshair on Mount Tantiss now though and whether they'll brainwaish him into some kind of enforcer to hunt down the Batch, use him as bait or really just want him for some kind of science experiment independently of the Batch.

The only minor nitpick I have is that for me the fact that the Empire would store stormtrooper equipment on some remote planet beset by raiders for a year didn't make much sense. But I suppose that serves to elevate the story of hopelessness underlying this episode and makes it an even better story, so I'll easily forgive this one.

The music in this one was also once again brilliant, the second episode after 9 with really stunning music.

I'll give this 10/10 as well, two perfect episodes for me today.

Absolutely agree, 2 really amazing bits of Star Wars television today. Engaging, brilliant....just perfect.

Completely loved today's episode of TBB. As pointed out by many others, the setting was eerie, the scenes were suspenseful and emotional and the music was hauntingly brilliant. And to boot, great character development, a great (yet brief) introduction to another clone in Mayday and really cinematic like scenery and terrain. And that animation is something else. The blizzard like conditions looked real, marks in the snow, etc. The animation is virtually perfect. Really awesome stuff by everyone at Lucasfilm. Take a bow because you are all awesome.

This is characterisation and this is storytelling and this continues to enrich the existing Star Wars fabric.

And Crosshair, the characterisation was brilliant. Yet exposure to more Clones who help shape his mind to grow past what he is now. Combine this with what he experienced in this episode and the day of reckoning for Crosshair finally comes and his redemption arc begins.

And with the stuff at the end, we have never seen what a Deathtrooper looks like under a helmet. Will Crosshair's DNA be used to clone a new type of elite trooper - the Deathtrooper. I was going to say Stormtrooper, but they can't shoot straight. So that rules out Crosshair's DNA to be cloned for them.

Forgot to mention above (and too late to edit): the helmet shrine to Mayday's fallen comrades, while nothing overly new in media, is another appreciated visual.
