The Callista, Leona Tavira, Daala discussion thread

Ok, I thought I'd start this thread to discover the whereabouts of the above characters. Callista, Tavira, Daala... Where are they post Yuuzhan Vong?

 

Supposedly, a future novel discusses Callista.

Leona Tavira probably fades into obscurity or is killed after the departure of the Jensaraai. The campaign against the Invidious is probably over within six months after that event.

Daala sometimes seems too stupid to breathe, let alone survive the war with the Yuuzhan Vong. Likely, Pellaeon demoted her to Captain (if not lower), put her on some tiny ship with other troublesome and/or incompetent officers, and she got killed in the Battle of Ithor.

 

Why does everyone (or the majority) hates Callista?

 

What book/books does she appear in? I've never read anything about her and i've read most of the EU novels.

 

She was introduced in Children of the Jedi right? It's been so long since I read any of those books... I may have the titles wrong.

I think we all hate Callista because she was kind of lame. Really. We had this powerful "greatest love in the galaxy" thing going on betwen her and Luke, then there was that really creepy "taking over another person's body" thing that she did. (It doesn't matter that the person was not anly already dying but gave her permission, it was still creepy) Then she kinda threw a tantrum when she couldn't touch the force anymore. She made Luke (our favourite character) fall in love with her, then she abandoned him. All because she couldn't be a Jedi, like that's the only thing in the galaxy worth being or something.

Not that my opinion is biased or anything... Who, me? No I never had a crush on Luke, why would you think that?

Anyway, that's what I think. She was kinda creepy and she hurt poor Luke. So we don't like her.

Interesting points so far, we established that Callista is lame, Tavira is non important, and Daala is a zombie...

It has occured to me that one of the character is missing, two of these characters are officially trapped in the unending torment of hyperspace.

Anyone wants to write a story where we resolve the whereabout of these characters. We can resolve their insignificant deaths, or glorious return, in stories, yes?
