    Re-posting from the other thread:

Director Kyle Dunlevy works for LFL, not sure if he's directed anything else. From his website:

    Dec 29 2009

"Lucasfilm is amazing. Making episodes of Clone Wars under the mentorship of Dave Filoni and George himself is incredible. I'm directing my 7th episode of Clone Wars and I couldn't be happier. Making the switch from animator to Director means total dedication to a new trade and the world of film making is even more wonderful and exciting to me than animation. It's been a huge learning curve but I was happy to discover that certain knowlege I needed as a director was already inside my brain; luckily, years of animation have prepared me well. I'm encouraged by the fact that Steven Spielberg once said that all directors should be animators first. "

Sept 21 2008 - End of an Era: Kinda...
It had always been the plan that I would stay in Singapore until Season One of Clone Wars (animation) was finished. So after 25 months, 9 episodes, and countless new experiences my wife and I packed up once again and hit the road. My time in Singapore was fantastic. I loved the Studio and I loved the project? but what I think I?ll miss most is the team of animators I worked with. I wish all of my friends the best of luck. I was preparing for the dreaded job-hunt when a Directing opportunity arose for me at Lucasfilm?s main studio in San Francisco. Cool!
...And that?s where I am now. I just started as ?Guest Episodic Director? on Clone Wars season two at Big Rock Ranch and so far it?s amazing. It really is a ranch in the country!

    "Airing soon"
My Directorial debut will be controversial indeed.

Written by Melinda Hsu of Senate Spy fame. :(

Supervising Writer: Greenberg - His work includes the season one episodes "The Hidden Enemy," "Hostage Crisis," and the season two episodes, "Children of the Force," "Senate Spy," "Landing at Point Rain," "Weapons Factory," "Legacy of Terror," "Brain Invaders," "Grievous Intrigue," and "The Deserter."

Someone want to tell me where "Concordia" is?

Also, should be a slow episode if Obi-Wan, Satine and Pre Visual are the only main characters. I think it will be a slow build up to the action-packed final 2 episodes.

Here's hoping it's not a piece of crap!

Though with that Hsu person writing for it, and this Kyle Dunlevy making his debut, I'm a bit scared.

Lets hope that this doesn't suck and send the Mandos and the Jedi Fans into another civil war. The Karen Traviss war is only just dying down. The last thing we need is this dividing the boards again.

It bears considerable resemblance in name to the planet "Concord Dawn", which was the homeworld of Jaster Mereel & Jango Fett and, between trilogies, was a place of significant events for Boba Fett (posing as Jaster Mereel) and his wife, Sintas Vel.

Presumably Concordia is a a planet nearby Concord Dawn, which itself is near Mandalore (and the new planet supposedly being called Mandalore in this episode).

For those interested, here are the existing Wook entries for The Death Watch and Tor Vizsla (as his relation to Pre Vizsla is certain to be a point of considerable speculation and interest).

Man, Havac is having a field day with the black lightsaber. This is gonna be a fun discussion.

Yeah, my main guess is that Concordia is a sister planet to Concord Dawn. Easiest retcon.

The Concordians and darksabers are all well and good, but I'm seriously concerned about Taylor's vocal capabilities. Does he have what it takes to belt out a serenade? And who's doing Satine's voice? Can she rival Nicole Kidman?

Just because it's full of intrigue doesn't mean it's slow. I LIKE those episodes. And I liked Senate Sput, so happy to see this Melissa Hsu chicking things off.

But, man oh man, Satine isn't all that attractive is she - even for cartoon chick standards. What's p with Obi-wan's tastes? Guess being a JEdi he never really developed any. Or maybe she's just a great person with a great personality??

Also, Henry GIlroy was the force behin Children of the Force, not Drew Greenberg.

I don't know about the final model, but the initial design was very Cate Blanchett.

BTW - Melinda Hsu (the Mandalore Plot writer) writes for LOST and she used to write for Medium. Last year she co-wrote the episode of Lost called "Some Like it Hoth" which had tons of Star Wars references and in fact one of the characters, being stuck in 1977, decided to write ESB himself. It was pretty awesome.

She is now called Melinda Hsu Taylor and was as of last May, if not sooner, so I wonder when she wrote this episode exactly since she is credited without the Taylor... possibly before she joined the Lost writing team?

    Also, James Arnold Taylor... coincidence?

Can I also say that the Jon Favraue voice is pretty awesome cause they made it deep, but the lisp kind of bugs me.

I appreciate the fact that Satine is not some foxy babe in a skimpy outfit. To all you people who are always complaining about the sluttiness of SW females, REMEMBER SATINE! She looks like a suitable match for Obi-Wan, a classy lady, attractive in her own, classical way.

Yeah, Satine is more like a classy lady, a little like Luminara in that sense. She has an elaborate, decent wardrobe and doesn't look bad at all in some of the trailers. Heck, Padme's outfits always seem to show off her curves and make certain lower-half parts of her anatomy seem especially large. :p

I think it's the eyes and the face...the former aren't large, and the latter isn't too round, so it might create an image of nobility.

fanboy - greenberg was the supervising writer for the above-mentioned episodes.

satine - looking much like the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland to me. Probably just the classical style I guess.

No mere "bimbo" for our Obi-Wan - that's good (unless it's implying "older folks" need class, not crass ;) ). /not a slur - I'm older than the character.

I'm looking forward to a Kenobi episode...is it Friday yet?

I'm looking forward to this episode, it looks like it will be good. :D

I like Satine so far, she definitely is a great change from the usual sluttines of the Star Wars females... (I still like Padme though). :p

Obi-Wan should be awesome in this episode, and I can't wait to see him duel a non-Force-user. I don't know what to think of the blacksaber, but it looks cool. As long as the Jedi don't get a bunch of them, and make them standard issue I guess they're OK.

Pre Vizla looks like he will be cool. And I'm glad that Dooku is involved - Poisonous traitor!

I won't be catching this episode 'till it hits the official site. But I sure am looking forward to it. :)

And I would have thought you'd rather come back here and chat about the episode rather than being excited for that[face_whistling]

We'll see how this goes. I admit I'm not enamored with the idea of someone lightsaber fighting with a Jedi minus the force.

Pre Vizsla seems just a little too special in what we've seen thus far, like Cad Bane did early in the Season.[face_worried]

Well, I don't recall seeing any SW characters acting slutty, except maybe Anakin in AOTC. ;)

And of course I'll be here, Robimus, I just have a feeling this episode thread will be much more tame than the Lit one!

I never complained about SW characters acting slutty, just looking slutty. Thank God that this isn't Star Trek. I wanted to slap Captain Kirk for chasing all them slutty women... [face_tired]

OK, back on topic before I get banned for starting some kind of arguement... :p

Would we get banned if we started agreeing? ;) Mudd may have had his women, but I think Kirk had more - I used to wonder as a youngster just how those clothes stayed on the actresses. I didn't know then they had to tape the clothes to keep them up.

At least TCW doesn't need tape.
