"A fallen enemy may rise again, but the reconciled one is truly vanquished."

The dark warrior Savage Opress is on a quest to find his long-lost brother. Could Darth Maul truly be alive, after more than a decade since his gruesome bisection at the blade of Obi-Wan Kenobi? Savage voyages into the depths of a twisted planet to find whatever became of the fallen Sith Lord.

^My reaction: Kit Fisto is alive

    :p

Seriously though, I'm very interested in seeing just how they pull this off. I'm interested in seeing how they answer to:
    -Multi-legged Maul
    -Savage and his dust
    -Talzin as not "natural"
-why Ventress has any interest in killing Maul
-why the ENTIRE council doesn't have their sights set on this matter ( )
    -how Obi-wan finds them
    -what happened to the Nightbrothers
-what Maul plans to do after Kebobi is dead (which he obviously won't be dead but you know...)
-how Maul goes from spidery to Grievousy

I somewhat hope the rumors are true that Maul and Savage lead an attack on the Jedi Temple. I want to see a Jedi VS Nightbrother war. Oh and the Nightbrothers are armed with lightsabers (somehow). Yeah that will likely not happen.....

Edit: Just realized that Savage's arm is showing through his armor. ANIMATION ERROR!

How Talzin's voice grates on me. If they want some spooky lady, they should have just made her into a Star Wars Elvira Mistress of the Dark.

All part of Mother Talzin's great, grand scheme to...who knows what.
Is this the first season where there's not been an hour finale? I thought Brothers and Revenge were initially suppose to air on the same day.

Cartoon Network is probably expecting good ratings and is stretching the finale out. They might as well, Cartoon Network isn't going to have much to run for a while after the 16th. Hopefully terrible ratings all around for reruns will finally encourage CN to move the action block to another night.

One hour finales isn't new to TCW. If that's what you mean by "stretching the finale out."

We aren't getting a one hour finale this year. CN is stretching it to the 9th and the 16th, that's what I meant. Looks like its getting milked and is the last gasp for the block. Its looking like after the 16th the Friday night block is getting scrapped and everything is moving to just Saturday mornings. Even Thundercats season 2 has a Saturday morning premier on the 24th. I've been wanting to see the block moved but I'm not sure just Saturday mornings is a good move.

I thought they announced it was an hour long finale a while back.

Not that I want an hour finale. :p

I don't understand the reasoning behind the current schedule anyways. TCW has been running Friday nights pretty much all by itself the last couple of weeks. That Lego Ninjago show really is doing terribly and is sandwiched around TCW. There has to be something worth a damn to rerun in the 8:30pm timeslot even if its a TCW rerun. Ah well, CN's been mismanaging itself since like 2001. Guess that's not going to change anytime soon.

It'd be funny if Savage turns up on Lortho Minor, journeys for the entire episode to Maul only to discover Maul's a hologram and that we'd all been trolled.

I would honestly LOVE that. For me we're about to be trolled by having Maul brought back to life.

The fortune cookie is a real quote. I suppose that could be taken as a good sign.

Expectations are super low for this arc.

I said back in S3 when we saw Maul in the crystal ball or whatever that if they screw up this arc, I'll be done as a mod...because I'll be done with the show.

I can pretty much stand behind that - for them to bring Maul back, it has to be awesome or it won't be worthwhile.

To me, I hope they either nail it and it's one of the great TCW arcs, or else it's completely terrible.

If it's simply mediocre, I'll simply be left with "what might have been".

Garth, just from the trailers and previews for this duology I have determined that it will suck regardless of how well they execute it. Okay so they're bringing back Maul for the sake of marketing, that's pretty poor in it's own right. But then all they can think to do with this is some limp, weak-assed, painfully and frankly disgustingly contrived revenge plot where Obi Wan and Ventress unite against the Opress Twins and it's so blatantly obvious that none of the participants are in any danger of dying in these confrontations? Come on TCW, this is just pathetic.

Not necessarily disagreeing with most of that, but isn't Obi-Wan the only character absolutely guaranteed to survive? Word is that Maul will be big next year, sure, but he'll probably bite it (again) by the series' end, and I wouldn't be entirely surprised if Savage has already outlived his usefulness. Ventress... it seems like they have big plans for her, but she might get killed in the process of "redeeming herself" and die in Obi-Wan's arms or some sh**. Just sayin'.
