Just a little something I'd like to share with the community:

Last night 7 of my friends and I went out to a club. Afterwards we went to a Whataburger since it was the only place open at 2 in the morning(besides a waffle house) and started talking and joking around about different subjects. Eventually, as most conversations go, it turned to relationships. Now, most of my friends are well aware of my star wars obsession in addition to some other interests of mine. Now, I like to think I'm a modestly attractive guy and I have had my fair share of girlfriends but none of them have ever really been "Geeks," on the same level as I am. That being said, I generally keep my friends in the dark about the type of girls I like. Last night I put their curiosity to rest!

" I intend to go to C3, meet a Portman lookalike whom I shall affectonately dub my "Lil Ewok" and we'll make Lil Ewoks together that I shall then sell to science and Ebay respectively!"

lol, j/k but I do fully intend to meet my significant other at C3 or the ROTS showing here in my town, or some other Star Wars gathering somewhere. Just to get a thread going, how many of you met your wives/spouses/girl or boyfriends at Star Wars gatherings? I'm sure there's funny stories out there 2!

My last g/f was the one that got me interested in fandom. Before that, I had never been to a con.

Now that I've come out of the carbonite closet with my geekness, I'm wondering if I should wear armor on my date with the new girl(non SW) this weekend? lol

I met my boyfriend on a fan films forum type of board. He's a Star Wars fan, just not as much of one as me.

I dated two girls in my Fan Force - both of them are on here - in fact, one of them was my most recent relationship; and I met another one through them, and took another to Fan Force meetings.

Oh, and to beat your geekness, I was the president of my Fan Force for a bit. ;)

Otto, I've got you beat on geekness. :p I'm over one fanforce and a member of all 4 SW groups in Utah. Well the only thing that really saves me from being a geek is that I'm a girl. ;)

Ooh, so being a girl saves you from being a geek? Nice to know... ;)

Ya know...I'm exempt from the whole Fanforce Geek thing, cause I don't have one here and it's literally a stress test evertime I use DSL & AOL to get online
:( Imagine me trying to keep up with a meeting online! Sad.......but it makes me no less a geek :p

There is a geek test online. Out of everyone in my fanforce I scored the lowest, and we noticed if a girl answered the exact same quesitons as a guy, she always ranked lower on it than he did. Which shows that being a girl saves you from being a geek.

Yes, because we're going to trust an online test. If we all did that, I'd truely know that I was going to die in 2085, no wait, 2067, no wait, 2078. Or so the online test says.

    Geekdome at work, huh?
Met my now fiancee here at the JC. Good ol' long-distance, talking everyday with the help of technology via IM relationship. When we first met in RL, me traveling up to NY, it was to go together to a SW con where Mark Hamill was having a Q&A and signing. Got our pic with him together and had him sign a SW pic to both of us. :p

Next time I saw him, this time him coming to TX, we travel to Dallas with my sisters for another SW con, this time with Billy D. Williams signing. :p

So if it wasn't for us both being hopeless geeks that spend too much time on the internet and have an addiction for a certain little scifi show, we never would have met most likely. ;)
