I have a 360 and a Wii and I can't decide which version to get. The pros as I see them for the 360 version are much better graphics, achievements, and regular controller use, while the pros as I see them for the Wii version are "duel mode" and using the Wiimote as a lightsaber (although I hear that this may not be that great). I am leaning toward the 360 version (especially considering that The Clone Wars game for the Wii seems to have the features that I would be missing by skipping TFU on the Wii), but I wanted to see what you guys think. Thoughts?

Locking, TFU isn't out yet, so this may as well be discussed in the TFU thread.

I'll probably get the 360 version. I don't think the Wii's extra features will make up for sub-par graphics and the lot. Normally I wouldn't mind but in this case it seems to have been "downgraded" for the Wii. If the reviews for the 360 version are better, that will seal my purchase.

I personally can't decide whether to get the PS3 version or the X-Box 360 version...

I'd go with the 360 version. I saw a side-by-side comparison of Assassin's Creed a while back and the 360 had slight better graphics.

Whenever it comes down to a choice to buy a game for the 360 or one of the other two systems, the 360 is the obvious choice.

Already posted this earlier, but the Xbox 360 version for me. And I also own both a 360 and a Wii.

Considering the HD "total immersion" nature of the 360 and PS3 versions, I'd be stupid to pass this one up in any lesser rendering, and there's the strong likelihood that most or all of the Wii/PS2 content (plus multiplayer) will be made available within the year as DLC over Xbox Live.

    If that happens, it's "win-win."

Also, none of the Wiimote lightsaber combat is purportedly 1:1, which became another major factor for me...it made choosing the 360 version even easier, though many of the controller-moves look interesting on their own terms.

Wii for me, though I understand why some people would prefer the 360 version.

That's a bad assumption to make. I'm a 360 fan, but going by graphics of one game isn't the way to decide. First off, games by different developers can look more or less different on each system, it is not a matter of hardware alone. Secondly, I'm glad you said slight, because that is all there really ever is when comparing the two systems. Graphics-wise, both systems are far too similar to rank above each other... each system has games where they look slightly better, but neither completely trump the other. If you're going to make a decision about buying a console, graphics really isn't a sell point between the PS3 and 360.

Secondly, about the Wii version. Not only is the 360 version better graphically, but it's an entirely different game... the Wii version is not even being made by the same developer... So don't expect the wii version to be anywhere near as good. Now that's not to say that no effort is going into the wii version, I've seen preview and it has its own special features, however as others have said, the 1:1 swing ratio which we have been all waiting for, is nonexistent in this game. Meanwhile, The Clone Wars video game might have 1:1, and is a Wii exclusive, so you know their full effort is going into it. Not to say TFU will be bad on the wii, but if you were wanting it for 1:1 saber combat, your best bet would be waiting it out till Clone Wars.

I know you're not saying it'll be bad, but jeez, you gotta give it something. The Wii version has Duel Mode, which in the previews looked very cool, the story will be the same, and the ability to control lightsaber with the wii remote is so much better on the wii than any other console out there. I also plan on doing totally over the top gestures to make the force powers on the Wii version awesome. I also want to point out that people who've played the Wii version have said that they really didn't miss the DMM and Euphoria. Sure it's cool, but I'd rather feel more like I'm in the game than see super realistic graphics. And I'm a bit unconvinced seeing the tree effects for Kashyyyk.

Oh, and I'll be buying this game for both the Wii and the 360, to get the full experience.

If you want the full experience, you have to go for the 360 version. I really wanted the Wii version because of the duel mode, but since Clone Wars is coming for the Wii, apparently with more refined dueling, I'll just buy TFU for the 360 and wait for Clone Wars Wii for the dueling experience.

Get both if you have the systems. It's gonna be worth it. I have it pre-ordered for Wii but I'm also gonna get it for 360 when I buy one next month.

The Wii version is not an entirely different game, they all follow the exact storyline, with the same characters and everything. The only thing is the Wii version will have is a few extra levels and it won't have the graphics or physics of the PS3 or 360. Saying it's an entirely different game because it has a different developer is absurd.

aah man, wish I was able to download the demo on Thurs, I'm travelling in New Zealand until Feb next year. I have a 360 at home but I plan to get a wii when I get back if I can save enough on my travels. I like the idea of the controls on the wii but I'm going to stick with the 360 version I think.......now if we had the motion sensor + it would be a different story!

me too, I don't think for one min that it's worth buying a wii just for TFU if you already have a 360 but I will be buying a wii at some point when I get home.....as I said I'm travelling New Zealand (and Australia at some point) until Feb, the wait for TFU is already killing me, I do have a PSP with me, should I pick up a copy in sept? or do I wait until Feb for the real deal....hmm clouded the future is
