It didn't look like they were breathing so I think they died.

Well I guess iit wouldn't have mattered because Yoda would've killed them if they did anything about it. All they had were spears, and REMEMBER what Yoda did to the two Stormtroopers and they had GUNS.

Ki-Adi-Mundi's clones were quite far from him when he got shot compared to Yoda. It might be a little off topic, but the real question on that is why did Yoda's clones have to get so close? Isn't that one of the main points of guns? Why did they have to walk up until they were 2 feet behind him?

I will be in any talk of Yoda, look at my sig.

Anyways, I think that they were just knocked out because it wasn't that big of an impact. Strong enough for a knockout though. Yoda could have killed them but it's not in his character.

Imagine what they were thinking when they had woke up . [face_laugh] .

It would be funny if when Sidatine went back down into his office and saw them, he kills them for insufficiently guarding the door...:p

Exactly, I don't think Yoda would kill them unless they threatened him first. That's why he killed the clones, he could sense what they were up to. To kill in cold blood is of the Sith.

what could possibly make someone think that yoda killed the gaurds with that move? he forced pushed them into a wall, why would that result in death? has there ever been such an instance in all of starwars? (include EU if you'd like)

bullhonky! never once has such a move killed someone. lightning maybe(i say maybe because we never see the lightning itself kill someone, but it is implied that is could kill someone, i mean it is lightning) but a push? seriously.

we must be running outta crap to talk about.

He knocked them out, just like Luke did to the gaurds in Jabba's palace in ROTJ.

Personally, I believe that the push killed them. They didn't even stir, groan or otherwise give any indication that they were still alive. Also, they didn't pop up and call for help, etc... Either they were knocked out for a good long time, missing lightning and lightsaber clashes, or they were dead.

If they didn't die, I'll bet they wished they had after suffering that kind of trauma.

In the Just the Facts section on theforce.net for Yoda, there is a quote from Pablo Hidalgo that says: "During the Yoda shots in the teaser trailer, the red guards are not dead." So no, he did not kill them, only knocked them unconscious.

it's not in yoda's character to kill two harmless guards imo.
in the end they weren't really a threat to anyone...

i'm guessing they both get to live to tell about it -probably bragging about it for the next couple of decades down at the local pub.

red guard #1: "remember the time when we almost beat the legendary yoda?"
red guard #2: "yeah! those were the days. we almost had him mate..."

I personally always thought that luke used a force choke on them they way you see them holding their throats and making that noise i assumed luke had tapped into his 'Darkside' as it was quicker than maybe using a mind trick but i am just guessing [face_thinking]
