The Guardian starring Kevin Costner and Ashton Kutcher is not a believable film

At one point, they go rescue some kayakers trapped in a cave in the Bering Sea and one of them is like "I can't really swim, man."
Why the hell would you go kayaking off a rocky coast in the Bering Sea if you didn't know how to swim?

 

Because it's a Kevin Costner movie.

 

Damn, I thought this was about Arlon!

 

I can't fathom any American not knowing how to swim.

 

At first I didn't know what movie you were talking about. Now that I do, I don't get why you'd watch it.

 

Is this the one where Costner has gills?

I honsetly don't understand how anyone can "not swim." Move your arms and legs in a propelling motion!

I have not seen it, but Costner hasn't made a good movie since....Bull Durham? Field of Dreams? Dances with Wolves? Whichever of those was the last one he made, that was it.

 

I'd suggest you bring the film next time. Watch "Easy Rider" after you've cooked some steaks on the grill while listening to some Allman Brothers Band CDs out on the porch. You'll have a grand time, I assure you.

Kevin Costner nearly ruined Thirteen Days with his obnoxious fake accent.

 

Meh, the movie lost me with the pool scene. The one with Kevin hosing water in Ashtons face. That was just a little too much of a cop to An Officer and a Gentleman.

 

Oh but it's very believable ,Ashton has webbed toes just like Costner in Waterworld.

 

I didn't see Officer and a Gentleman, but my mother's continual commentary suggested that the entire love story with him picking the girl up in the bar was also pretty reminiscent of that.

 

Yes, his accent was obnoxious, but I thought the movie was good otherwise. Only truly decent movie I can ever remember Costner being in.

 

Ashton Kutcher hasn't been believable in a role since That 70's Show.

 

You obviously haven't seen Cheaper by the Dozen.
