Fellow Pavanians, we gather here to celebrate the rising sun of families in Star Wars, the Pavans. Beginning with the glorious Lorn Pavan who, despite his lack of Force, gave Darth Maul, the "Shadow Hunter", his greatest and most challenging chase of the scum's career. Sadly, our Father fell() but has lived on through his son:

Our guardian of all things Pavan deserves a gathering to honor his family line and we, Pavanians, shall rise to meet our guardian with open arms and shouts of his glory. This is the fan club of Lorn, Jax, and all things Pavan.

Yes, and I've already put my money up for it and Pattern of Force. I've been a fan of Lorn Pavan since Shadow Hunter, which I just finished 2 months ago. Jax has struck me as the detective type of Force User. And I'm liking it alot.

 

Jax is very cool. Can't wait for the next Coruscant Nights.

 

Haven't read CN yet, so I'm just here for Lorn.

I hope Michael Reeves does something more with the Pavan family line. Maybe even give us more backstory on Lorn because he was killed too early. Personally, I like Lorn more than Jax, but maybe I should wait for the other books.

 

Shadow hunter was good, although I prefer Coruscant Nights a lot.

Jax Pavan has a monocle.

That is just bad@$$ beyond belief. You know you're in over your head when you take on an opponent that has "monocle" listed among the rest of his inventory. Who knows what powers Jax has yet to unleash upon the unsuspecting Galaxy with his Magnificent Monocle of Might and Magic?

 

I like that phrase.

And that is true, characters with the Monocle are awesome by default.

I think it's somewhat visible on the second book's cover as well...

Anyway, as to move the discussion forward, since we are celebrating the Pavans we must mention their friend and partner in crime: I5YQ

I love this droid. He has more personality, literally, than any of the other droids in SW and shows emotions, I mean where did they get this droid?

In any case, I like him as the comic relief and happy no one else has written for him, Michael Reeves is la genius.

This thread is not getting nearly the attention it deserves.

Anyone read Coruscant Nights II yet? I haven't had a chance to pick it up, though I'd like to do so. I think I'm waiting for Christmas (as with several other books), though I'd really rather not. I'm curious to see how our new detective-Jedi does.

 

I've seen it in book stores, but I'd have to wait till the beginning of the next month, because of my student budget.

 

I've got it, and I'm about halfway through... I don't have the time to read it like I read CS 1.

It's very... different, compared to the last one. I can't think of specifics at the moment, but it's good. -needs to get back to reading it-

I have been terribly interrupted from my regular reading pattern and haven't been able to finish my second reading of the first one and despite not wanting, might just have to move on to the next one.
