I was a shift manager at Blockbuster for a while...

these two girls, probably around 17-20 came in 2 days ago and tried to rent a movie with no blockbuster card on them and no photo ID on them either. For 15 minutes they're holding upthe line trying to convince me to rent them the movie. And I'm standing there trying to convince them that it's only for their own protection that I don't rent out movies to people who just give me a last name and a phone number. If I did that, then anyone who knows your name and number can rent on your account. But apparently this wasn't registering in their heads and they had to waste my time with their crap.


oh and yesterday this lady comes in. She tells me she's gonna sue blockbuster and she starts pulling out all this crap from banks and stuff showing that we've been billing her for the movie pass she got. She said she cancelled it months ago and that we never stopped billing her. I pulled up her records and not one thing on there about cancelling the pass. Funny thing is, she was even using the pass to get her rentals for the past few months. If she tried to cancel it, then why is she still using it? And she held me up for OVER AN HOUR.
