This the Jabitha, Anakin Skywalker's Sekotan custom ship. Not what a I pictured, but it is strange. Is this what we will see more of in TUF?

I think the magic of the ship is how it imprinted on Anakin. The ship builder said it was the best ship he'd ever seen, due to Anakin's connection to the force. The ship was perfectly in tune with the force.

    Comments?

I read Rogue Planet...Then read it again, and the concept of shaping ships from "seeds" and the fact that they are almost living creatures, still really confuses me, Okay, well, maybe its not that hard of a concept, I just refuse to accept it, it makes no sense.

Thats the first time I have seen a picture of the The Jabitha[/b] Its nothing like I would have imagined it, it more resembles some kind of strange bug....

I think it was fairly straightforward. The seeds were creatures that communed witht he person's life force. It was perfectly made for each person, because every person is different. The seeds then underwent a transformative phase where the seeds literally became the ship's controls. They had hardware, but the transformed seed partners were the soul of the ship. They take joy in being flown, and love their owners, because they are alive. They aren't slaves like all the Vong stuff. They are willing partners.

I think thats the best explanation of this I have heard yet :)

Don't get me wrong, I did enjoy this book, I particuarly liked the idea of Garbage pit races, they sounded like alot of fun ;)

I don't know, its hard to Explain, I guess I just wasn't satisfied with the ending to this book. You managed to explain the entire process in a really easy to understand manner, meanwhile the book took pages and pages to explain it, and thats what got me

I don't enjoy books with alot of Technical nonsense, I love when it focouses on the characters themselves. For example, my favorite part of the book was when Anakin woke up and told Obi-wan about his dream with Qui-gon, Those are the moments in books that I enjoy.

Thank you! I'm glad I helped!

I never read the whole book, but did listen to the audio book, and it was so much more cherent, because of sound effects, and music, I guess. I could see it in my mind's eye. The book was kind of a drag, and that's a shame considering what it set up. It was easier to read, however, after I listened to the tapes.

What I meant in my original post is, I think Jacen will commune with the seed partners and tap his grandfather's soul essence, maybe from when he was a child. Then he would know what Vergere meant that he shined, because the seed partners went crazy with Anakin!
And in Luke's vision, he saw his son, Ben Skywalker "at the helm of a ship of strange design". I think that will be a Sekotan ship,a nd have since Rebirth.

That certainly doesn't look like how I pictured it. I always imagined something slightly resembling Guri's Stinger. That's just plain ugly.

Why'd you imagine it like a coralskipper? Just curious. For me, the descriptions offered up an image of a sleek ship that for some reason seemed kinda "feminine". The Stinger is the only ship I could think of that really seems like that.

There's no symetry or smoothness to the design we'll see in NEGVV later this year. What that green thing that's been labelled as Jabitha is clunky-looking, not vety aerodynamic and very Wright Brothers looking.

And yet the natives take pride in their sophiticated, customised creations?

That picture is almost cute :p
I'd imagined (vaguely) something much sleeker - a bit Naboo chrome shiny I suppose, illogical though that is - but that sort of shape.

While the 1903 Wright Flyer may not be something to look at compared with some WWII, and some of todays, aircraft their still a beauty to it that is thoroughly lacking in that image.
