Aren't all rock singers tools?

For one not to be, he or she would have to spend every second they're not on stage convincingly pretending to be a regular person; and since many regular people are tools just as large as any rock singer, said rock singer would then have to convincingly play at being humble, caring, practical, and rational plus any other non-tool qualities I've overlooked.

I don't think it could be done.

Even ones like Bono who try not to be tools, still come across as total space cadets to me.

As for the topic, I have never listened to Nickelback and I have no clue who the lead singer is, so I can't really judge. I will say, however, that some guy playing music I don't like or singing in a way I don't like is not enough for me to say "that person is a tool." Is this person known to engage in rude behavior or something for everybody here to deem him a tool?

 

In my own personal lexicon, a "space cadet" is someone who is so out of touch with baseline humanity they can't even comprehend how clueless they are.

I'm sure I'll have to revise that once the United Nations Space Command establishes its first naval academy, however.

I think his hair alone gets my Tool vote.

On a related note, who listens to Nickelback? I have yet to meet anyone who doesn't find Chad Kroeger's voice grating and annoying, yet I have to change channels on the radio because of it pretty much every day.

Does he pay off radio DJ's, or is there some whole giant segment of society that I never come into contact with that actually likes being ear-raped by these jackasses?

 

In my life, I have met two (2) people who told me that Nickelback was their favorite band.

It was hard to like them after that. They're lucky that they're very nice.

 

when i had just heard him and not seen him, for some reason i pictured him looking alot different than he does. unfortunately he is quite unattractive.

One of my best friends loves them. I've tried to convince her that they are terrible, but she doesn't agree. But she also listens to other crappy music like Poets of the Fall and Good Charlotte.
