The look on Dooku's face after cutting Anakin's arm, what did it mean?

Actually he looked a cross between tired and sad, just watch the scene again.

 

I actually thought it looked like regret or at least disappointment. Like he was almost sorry to do it. I think this will be revealed in EP. III.

It means "Hey look, I just cut someone's arm off."

Well he did fight one Jedi after another, though yes he did look dissapointed.(that's the word I was looking for)

It's almost like he's saying "Look, I didn't want to hurt you boy, but . . ."

 

I think the look on Dooku's face says, "Thank god this fight is over. If it had continued any longer, the clonetroopers would arrive and I would have been done for."

 

Definitely a mix of regret, fatigue and sadness. The novel goes into more depth about how impressed Dooku is with Anakin's powers. Perhaps Dooku sees Anakin as someone who can help him overthrow Sidious....?

i think he was also stunned at the way anakin fought, especially since anakin had fought for his life in the arena, and then had to endure the lightning from dooku. he was shocked that anakin could bounce back and almost go the distance with him.

I also think he was just tired after defeating 2 Jedi back to back. And whaddya know, he had to match another one too...

I've always seen it as a "Oh my God, I just screwed up SO bad" look.

I don't think, I really don't think Dooku meant to cut off Anakin's arm. OR that he is truly evil. I think this may be explored in Episode III.

 

Sidious probably already instructed him in regards to Anakin. He was probably told to avoid harming him unless absolutely necessary, [until Sidious could convert him to the Dark Side of the Force]. No need to start off his career as Darth Vader with missing limbs unless it was absolutely necessary. My take of the scene was:

-First he looked exhausted.
-Then he looked surprised at Anakin's skill.
-Next, he looked a little worried (like ah, is master sidious gonna be mad at me or what!)
-Finally, he looked disappointed that it had to come to that point. Disappointed in himself and in Anakin forcing him to do him harm.

 

Yo guys and look at Dooku when Obi gives Anakin his lightsaber. He's like what the ****?Boy I thought you were dead. And suddenly he gets off balance,regains balance as said in the book and cuts Anakin's arm off. I have the movie and I've seen the lightsaber duel 34 times!

 

How can Dooku be bested in Episode 3?

he took on 3 of the best jedi in the universe back to back to back.....

the only jedi he didn't fight that could even shine his shoes is MR. BADASS himself

Anakin will already be Dark side when he kills Dooku, perhaps? Maybe already been in the battle with Obi, perhaps in his black gear by the time he meets Dooku to replace him.
