The Mandalorian The Mandalorian [Din Djarin] Thread

I received approval to start a thread on The Mandalorian [The Character] and if a name for him is ever revealed then the name of this thread will be changed accordingly to that.

1. Do you want The Mandalorian to get named or is he better as “Mandalorian with no name” and remain mysterious.

2. What would be a good name for him? Fofa Bett, Boba Fett, something else?

3. What do you want to be revealed about him? His origins, his past, his profession?

4. What do you want to remain mysterious about him? His name, origin, past?

5. What do you think each episode will show in regards to his character?

2. Tristan Wren (If there is a name)
3. He is from Clan Wren (If there is a name)
4. Basically everything
5. I hope he will be and stay a merciless killer

 

Even other Mandalorians should be uncertain who is behind the mask for the longest time. But I'm okay if we eventually learn his name is Jaster.

 

Sheev. This is Plapy's day job while he bides his time.

 

1. I prefer they go as long as possible without revealing his name.

2. Galbi Fett. Might as well keep the spirit of half the name coincidentally also being the name of some east Asian food.

3. That due to the traveling nature of his job that he most often eats Instant Bread and we the audience see him make one every episode.

Jaspeer Vizsla

 

My official guess is his name is Jaster Mereel. He's the son of Jango Fett and a Mandalorian with the surname Mereel. Jango was not a Mandalorian. He was a mercenary recruited to fight for Death Watch. This is how he and Jaster's mother met. Eventually though he abandoned them and Jaster and his mother were exiled for their association with both Death Watch and a well-known criminal.

He's Johnny Mandalorian. He was a gender-studies major, couldn't find a job for obvious reasons, and turned to a life of crime.

Turns out he's really good at shooting people in the face.

 

I think they should just call him Jim.

In all seriousness, has there been any reason given as to why he’s not been named yet? It’s got me very curious.

 

He's an outlaw. If he has a name, he's not going to go around telling it to people.

 

Ya, but there’s gotta be an out of universe reason for keeping it secret. Rey, Finn, and Poe for example all had their names revealed out of universe.

 

It's because his real name is Dilbert. Can you imagine being an outlaw and telling everyone your name is Dilbert? I didn't think so!
