Seems like this'll keep up the Ultimate Visual Guide style of Rogue One, Solo, and TROS, rather than the older Visual Dictionary style, I guess, which hopefully at least means it'll be a bigger book like the RO and TROS ones were.
I don’t think they have. My guess is to just put more information in one book than spreading it out over multiple ones. I too prefer the TROS and RO-style size, so hopefully they’ll go down that route.
Just mixing it up, I think. But RO was the first to incorporate the cross-sections into the visual guide format (because those books were getting progressively thinner) so it made sense to shift up the style along with it. TROS's one is much closer to the standard Visual Dictionary, but still incorporates new stuff like data files and timelines from the RO/Solo guides. I guess it's also because they're now the main guide book for each film, so better to have an expanded format to cover more material than the old Visual Dictionary format.
The old seperate VD/Cross-Section format especially wouldn’t have worked for TROS with its lack of new ship designs, so it would’ve been like... a pamphlet, lol. And speaking of cross-sections, part of me wonders if they'll take inspiration from that excellent fan-art Max Degtyarev made of a cross-section for the Razor Crest that went viral a while back.
Pablo strikes again! I was fairly satisfied with the TROS Guide, but wanted more Exegol, ship info, and Sith stuff in general. Maybe a few more maps, like of Pasaana chase. I DID get it half price, so that may have something to do with it... How might this compare to the Rogue One and Solo guides? Comparable, larger, smaller?
I'd assume smaller than the RO and TROS guides, because they were mega. Probably about the size of the Solo one.
Videocall ring "Hey Pablo, can you whip us up another VD for Mando?" Pablo, coincidentally in quarantine in the Tropics:
Me too! It's funny how the film I cared the least for got the best treatment in terms of the VD. Feels like Pablo was really given the room to elaborate on stuff he'd have to cut in the past.
Might be the wrong thread but anything specific speak to your fancy...I personally liked all the ancient Sith stuff and felt that it sorta weaved together all the desperate threads that saw the rise of the First Order and how old Palpatine could fit into all it. Which i think good Guides book. Like how Essential Guide to Warfare essentially does a lot of the heavy lifting mixing and mingling the Bantman and Del-Ray eras of Star Wars post Endor together into a singular cohesive narrative. Maybe that's why I like TROS the most in terms of Nerdom...It has the most weird Lore that it adds, like Exegol and the idea of Dyad's

I´m so excited about the idea of having some more information about the Client! And the era, sure, and the remnant, and the bounty hunters, sure, sure... but the Client, man, the Clieeeeeent!
