I have always liked the idea that Fett's armour represents more than just him. The Mandalorian idea has captured my imagination ever since I saw The Empire Strikes Back. We have learned a lot about Jango Fett and Boba Fett and how their legacy is a part of a warrior culture in the Star Wars universe outdone only by the Jedi. For a long time the Mandalorians became extinct because of the Jedi on Gilderaan (sp). Only Jango was left.... the rest is history.

Still I hear new things about the Mandalorians. For example that every Mandalorian who becomes leader of his ( or her ) clan/race earns the title "Mandalore the _______ ( ie: the First, the Great, the Ressurector, etc ). I also hear that the Mandalorians rose once again thanks to the efforts of a Jango clone who kept his memories ( up for debate since this occures only in a article from Star Wars: Insider magazine ). Still the Mandalorian warriors do rise again in EU canon according to The New Jedi Order series with Boba Fett as the new "Mandalore" .... how fitting !

Anything else other Star Wars fan's would like to add, share, etc ? Any commentary on this new material not from the movies ? I have one cool image to show you from an artists site... the same guy who did the pictures for Star Wars:Insider magazine.... Starting from the left, the first two are Sith war era Mandalorian armour while the last is an example of the ex-Mandalorian "Death Watch" warriors. Note that these are basic designs and the Mandalorian warriors often had their armour different colours to denote rank or personal decoration.
