SWRPF Archive The New Sith Order: The War

Darth Bane, born under the name of Dessel on Apatros, was one of the most pivotal Dark Lords of the Sith. By the end of the New Sith Wars, Bane was one of the last of the legitimate Sith Lords and, as the only survivor of the Last Battle of Ruusan that signified the end of the war, reinvented the Sith order after its destruction.

Dessel joined the Brotherhood of Darkness as a foot soldier, rising to the rank of sergeant in a Sith unit known as the Gloom Walkers. This could be attributed in part to Dessel's spectacular uses of the Force to guide his unit out of certain death to victory. During his time as a Sith soldier, Dessel campaigned against Republic forces at such battles as Phaseera. After a mutiny against his incompetent superior Ulabore at Phaseera, Dessel was sentenced to be court-martialed under Lord Kopecz, but was saved from this fate by the Dark Lord, who offered to take him to Korriban, where he enrolled at the Sith Academy.
Offered the chance to create a new identity for himself, Dessel remembered the cruelty of his father, and elected to take the name Bane.

Bane arrived at the Academy and immediately began to study the ways of the Sith under such Masters as Qordis and the blademaster Kas'im. Despite his late discovery of his Force powers he began to exceed many of the students who had been trained since birth.

However, Bane would begin to abandon the archives he studied at the beginning of his training in favor of increased focus on physical and mental exercise. He defeated a Makurth student named Fohargh, who had previously beaten him. He killed his rival with the sheer power of the Force against Kas'im's instruction, earning him the attention of Sirak, the favorite of Lord Qordis and one of the most prominent students at the academy.

Things would begin to change for the worse however, when Bane, thinking on his use of the dark side to kill Fohargh, realized that he had in fact been responsible for the death of his father years before. This revelation caused Bane to doubt his ability, and he began to lose his connection to the dark side. Realizing that unless he acted he would fall behind the other students, he rashly challenged Sirak, who easily defeated Bane in combat and beat him savagely. Later, while in recovery, Bane would wish that Sirak had killed him.

After his loss, Bane was denied the right to train with the other students and was consigned to learning what he could from the archives he had abandoned. It would be while studying them that he would learn more about the Sith, the long dead Dark Lord Darth Revan in particular. Bane began to question the direction the Brotherhood of Darkness had taken, and seemed especially interested in finding out why none of the current Sith Lords took the title Darth.

It was at this time that a Jedi deserter named Githany arrived that Bane saw his chance to reclaim his place among the other students. Githany in turn saw Bane as a tool she could use against Sirak, her only real rival at the Academy. Requesting that Githany secretly teach him Force techniques she learned from the Masters, at the same time he took up lightsaber combat instruction from Kas'im, hidden from Githany. Neither teacher was aware of the other, ensuring that Bane had an edge over both.

As his training progressed, Bane learned far more from the archives at the Academy than he thought possible, supplementing his knowledge of the Force with the teachings of the ancient Sith. In one of their secret tutoring sessions, Githany was amazed at the speed at which Bane not only learned to harness Force lightning, but that in a few short hours he was able to unleash a storm none of the other students (including her) could manage. Kas'im too noted how far Bane was coming with his skill in the art of the saber and believed that soon he may surpass Sirak.

Bane once again entered the challenge ring atop the Academy but this time easily defeated and humiliated Sirak, although he stopped short of killing him. Following this victory, Kas'im presented Bane with t

Biography:

Venominaga was raised upon Coruscant at a young age. When approaching his late 20's, he was offered the Highly Royal Job as an Imperial Judge during the New Order. An Imperial Judge was known to be more of a Killer, than a Judge. Venominaga became one of the Most respected and High-class Imperial judges during his time. He faught many battles, but faught rarely, since his army of Skilled Vibro-Blade, and Blaster-wielding Imperial Soldiers ultimately Conquered the Battles they faught in. Whenever he did fight, he would ultimately destroy the opposing side, since his skills were far too Advanced. Ever since the loss of all of his fleet and army, Venominaga travels along with the New Order, since with was the next best to what he had.

Biography:

Slev was born on Odryn and was the second child to be stolen by Darth Bane. Slev is the most aggressive and combat oriented of the six Acolytes. Even his competing peers respect him for he is relentless in battle. He focuses a lot more on utilizing his strength in battle and finding weak point?s. He is behind the other Acolytes in Force training. All of them have mastered Sith Alchemy and Slev only lesser Alchemy.

All of the acolytes have recently been sent out on their first missions. Slev was sent to a battle ridden world and used his strength to control the military situation. At the young age of 15 he killed the King of the planet and took over for his master. While on the planet Slev found 11 Force Sensitive children and killed their families. He took them to the transport that he had arrived on and loaded them in. When he left the ship he noticed a ship he had never seen.

He stole the ship for his own and named it Torment. He sent the shuttle on its way back to Ziost and then went back to the military capitol. While there he recruited the best warriors and bent their wills into joining the New Order Great Army. He also stole a Capitol ship and had his 100 new soldiers fly it back to his Master?s base.

Slev is already teaching advanced Lightsaber Combat for he has mastered three Lightsaber Forms and created his own from the teachings of each. He named this Form Brulure; the form utilizes strength, speed and fury to create a blinding strategic attack at the weak points of an enemy. He does not teach any his form for it gives him an edge in combat.

Thanks to Bane's guidance, Endgame has shown great improvement in the Force and controls his actions fully. He fought to remain an acolyte and now is a highly respected figure of their small order. He watched at a younger age, the Brotherhood's actions. They were reckless and foolish in their ways. Endgame's true name has not been revealed due to the fact that Bane took him away before he could receive an actual name.

Biography: Was brought into the brotherhood at an early age, became a leading member quickly but was impeded and advanced by the fact she killed multiple master while she was a student.

Current Activity:
Dahlia sits concentrating on her apprentice's last test. She is not hasty in her judgment but senses he will not be able to go to much further. She lets go of herself and thinks back from the future to the battle between herself and her student a young fergul named Ochi. He has master most of form III and IV, but is no match for Dahlia even in her weakened state for the test. He concentrates on finding her, for the room is dark and neither has engaged their lightsabre. Dahlia senses the boy struggling, disappointed by his stupidity, but foreseeing his plan. Their is another of her students in the room. They are planning to take her down ... The hum off a blade engaging and kick off the ground in her direction. Dahlia silently floats of the ground and leaps in the air back to where the second opponent had charged from. She sent a wave of force energy out that cause the second opponent to fall over in pain, she ruptured his spleen. She then sent him flying to the top of the training room and let him float there. Ochi was able to pick up Dahlia's force signature and charged with his lightsabre drawn.

She waited until the last second and side stepped while drawing her blade. Ochi was used to this and back swung at her and flipped to face her. She sent a shock of lightning at which he deflected with his blade and then counter attack with a forward leap and lung. parried his blade up and hit him in the stomach causing his nerves to scream out in agony, she sent out another wave and his head cracked in a headache that could split a planet. He writhed in pain. She flew up and hovered over him. She smiled before filling the training room with the stench of charred skin and leather.

Dahlia regained her consciousness in the present only to feel a deep sense of pride, at least the boy would live through tomorrow's test.

Biography: One of the 6 children taken by Bane to be trained. Chade was only 18 months old when Bane found him, so he doesn?t remember his parents. As his training progressed Chade found himself studying ancient Sith techniques in his spare time. While the other acolytes used the time to refine their saber skills. As a result Chade is a barely competent swordsman. He more than makes up for this with his stealth skills. While an opponent might be able to kill him in a saber fight, they would have to find him first.
He also began to experiment with various poisons, combining natural poisons with his Sith Alchemy abilities to create new and more deadly (or painful or hallucinogenic) effects. With his skill in stealth and subtlety, combined with his knowledge of poison, Chade is an incredible assassin, but does his best to avoid combat.
His ability to use the Force to effect physical objects is minimal, but his mental powers are nothing to be sneered at. Chade is more than able to bring your deepest sub-conscious fears to the very forefront of your mind and leave you there to cower in fear of them.

Biography:

Venominon was an Imperial Judge that sided with the New Order, and Twin Brother to Venominaga. During his early Teens, Venominon's Brother, Venominaga, always dreamed of becoming an Imperial Judge, just like Venominon. Later on in life, Venominaga was selected and chosen to be an Imperial Judge for the New order. This made Venominon angry, and hated his Brother for this. 5 Years later, his Brother sugested to the new order that Venominon join the New Order, due to his Combat skills, and told them that He was more stronger than he was, just to let him enter. Because of this, Venominon thanked his Twin Brother and stayed along side with him. He knew by trying to bring Him into the New Order's Imperial Judges, Venominaga could have possibly have been dropped by them. Now, he travels along with his Twin Brother, and the New Order, doing whatever seems right to both them, and the New Order.

Biography: Was one of the six taken by Bane. His home world was Onderon. He was descended from the Royal Family which are all part of Freedon Nadd?s dynasty. His death was faked by Bane to gain a member of such a distinguished lineage. While the main line is from Nadd, there are various sub lines that fell on hard times and could not protect their children as effectively as the ruling family. The group Malus is from was on the losing side of the Onderon Civil war between the forces of Queen Talia and General Vaklu. He is now training under Bane.

Kaan brought his hand crashing against the table he sat at. He spoke firmly but calmly as he often did lately.

?What do you mean, you lost the ?acolytes?? What the hell is an acolyte anyway??

The soldier who had just told Kaan the news cowered in fear as his leader?s eyes gained that nervous tic.

?Well, sir, we recently found out that the traitor Bane stole six babies and trained them as? well he calls them Acolytes of the New Order. Recently a few of them have been causing trouble in our already demoralized ranks. Actually, they have been plain ripping them apart. The pests swoop in on ships and jump off then kill a bunch and jump back on the ship. It has been going on quite a lot.

An just the other day they killed an officer but were pursued. We had them for a while but this one on a highly advanced fighter turned around in the middle of fleeing and shot down about a dozen ships. I have never seen-?

In the middle of speaking Kaan used the Force and crushed the soldier and threw him to the side. Then he yelled to the other troops looking on.

?Tell all troops to watch for those Acolytes and you there find a replacement for that failure over there. Also call in Dahlia. I wish to speak to her.?

When the soldiers left Kaan spoke to himself.

?We need new Force Wielders.?

When Dahlia strode gallantly into the room Kaan was lying on a full length chair. He stood up and invited the prestigious Lady to sit. Once she was comfortable she spoke.

?Kaan, this had better be important I was about to continue the training of my apprentice.?

?Dahlia, you know that we desperately need Force Sensitive beings. I would like you to take your apprentice to Onderon to find these beings. Stay away from Iziz, keep to the jungle villages around. Think of it as a training routine for him. I suppose you heard of the Acolytes. Well they have been attacking our ground troops on conquered worlds. So I plan to set up a trap and lure these Acolytes into fighting me. I know that Bane will be seeking to build his army, so I am giving false intel to his troops that on the world of Atzerri there is a strong military force.

He will send his Acolytes to take over the government of the world and I will be there to meet them. We shall take care of his Acolytes and gain some Sith in two moves. Dahlia, gather your apprentice and leave a soon as possible.?

Darth Bane sat patiently waiting for four of his acolytes to enter the room. When they all were in he looked at each of them in turn.

?Acolytes, as you know your two other brothers are still away on missions. They will not be back for this new job I am sending you on. It has been reported that the marshy world of Atzerri has a military force that would be able to aid our cause monumentally. I want you four and Venominaga and Venominon along with a few battalions to eradicate the leader of this army and take control. You all have done missions like this in the past but now you must work together.

Because of their military aptitude I leave the twins in charge of the troops and you to kill the leader. I need not remind you to take the utmost care. Now leave me.?

The four acolytes left the room to tell Venominaga and Venominon of the plans. Bane had plans of his own. He had been needing to center himself for some time but was finding it difficult to make time. He walked to his private hangar and strode to his fighter ship. He set the controls and used the on-board computer to locate the desert world of Byss. There was a large amount of dark side energy and Bane intended to use it to shield himself and think.

The two brothers where sat in a huge room at a round table, waiting for the Acolytes to show up.

OOC: This is a rather awkward way to start. Mind I myself am not used to playing a character whose dialogue is chosen for him for the opening post. Usually, it's a game of TAG until the overall goal is reached. I'll manage I suppose...

Kaan?s Private Chamber

"34 29 86 22 44 91 24..." Kaan had been repeating in his mind almost unconsciously, always with the numbers now, usually counting off ship numbers or current numbers of troops per squadron. Every sequence of numbers was computed in his mind, but it always ended with the fluttering tic of his eye. Rising from his seat, he strode across the edge of the table, his left hand behind him with the right stroking his beard. Things were growing more and more complicated, and the way Bane was operating made Kaan question if the whelp had truly been the Sith'ari. "No, it's not true..." Kaan said aloud, hunching over to peer over his shoulder. No one. With a nervous sigh, he wiped his brow of sweat to abate his nervousness and continued pacing, his steps falling between each durasteel plate. "20, 24, 28, 32, 36,"

His eyes turned to the doors of his chamber as they slid open slowly, several of his highest ranked soldiers of both the naval and infantry regiments standing with curious looks on their faces. Kaan stood upright and cleared his throat, and took a commanding presence once more. "Admirals. Generals." Kaan said with a respective bow, the five men striding inside to stand before their leader. Few of them were Sith, but in reality all of Kaan's men were Sith. However, those who commanded no presence of the Force were likely aided by those who could sway the tide of battle, like Lord Kaan for instance.

"Sir, we've received word on the enemy forces." One of the generals stated, watching their leader nibble nervously on his lower lip. Kaan smacked himself in the face to stop himself and his eyes grew wide in anticipation.

"Well?!"

The general coughed and cleared his throat, the other general speaking for him as he failed to find his words. "It seems that these 'acolytes' are numerous, yet we do not advise taking them on alone. The--"

Kaan interjected immediately. "--Second battalion will stay stationed within bounds of the initial landing zone. Two regiments of scouts will be placed outside the landing zone with snipers emplacing minefields within the points I've uploaded to the datapads. Initially, they will weaken the ground forces and leave only the Acolytes left standing."

The generals nodded in agreement, taking their datapads and overlooking the information supposedly uploaded onto them. They saluted and left the chamber, leaving the three admirals. "And us, sir?"

Kaan chuckled nervously and brought up a holomap showing the placing of Forces around the opposite side of the planet. "You Admiral Haul, will serve aboard your vessel and seek to counter any ships heading towards the system. Take down anything that isn't one of ours, and you needn't worry about collateral damage... in fact make as much as possible!" Kaan sniggered under his breath and straightened up, looking more like a human-rat than a human general. "You two however," Kaan directed towards the other two men. "You will observe from above and have your fighters ready to send in three consecutive strikes on the oppositions ground forces. Wipe out whatever you like from the air, and I will safely guide the rest of you through Battle Meditation."

The admirals looked shocked. "What of you Lord Kaan? Won't you be in the crossfire?"

Kaan roared and threw his hands out as if to strangle all three of them at once. They stepped back in surprise and he halted, rubbing his palms on his chest. "Fools! I said my Battle Meditation will guide you. Should things prove difficult, raze the planet. Wipe it from the galaxy with everything on it."

"Sir?" The admirals said in surprised unison.

"You heard me! I'll be long gone once I've given the order, and with any luck, the forces that Bane," He paused and let the words hiss off of
