Everyone seems to know the score,
    They've seen it all before,
    They just know,
    They're so sure,
    That England's going to
    throw it away,
    Gonna blow it away
But I know they can play,
    Cos I remember...

    Three Lions on a shirt,
    Jules Rimet still gleaming
    Thirty years of hurt,
    Never stopped dreaming

So many jokes, so many sneers
    But all those oh-so-nears
    Wear you down
    Through the years
But I still see that tackle by Moore
    And when Lineker scored,
    Bobby belting the ball
    And Nobby dancing...

    Three Lions on a shirt,
    Jules Rimet still gleaming
    Thirty years of hurt,
    Never stopped me dreaming.

It's coming home, it's coming, football's coming home.

Come One Australia! *yeah, as if we have a chance*
Really happy to have the 'socceroos' in the World Cup finally after soo many decades. Sure, we suck at football, but hey getting in is good enough.
I'm a bit dissapointed that Ireland didn't get in, bit suprised actually, so I guess I'll be going for England...not very Irish of me hey [face_worried]
Let's just hope Rooney heals in time. Beckham managed to heal in time years back, I'm sure Rooney can. England need him.

It's a pitty, I fly out for Ireland and England the day after the Cup finishes. Would have been nice to see some matches in our pub in Ireland :)

Sorry about that, guys. I needed epic to be the second post as a place holder while I was getting these two HUGE posts done and posted that Everton created. With a blank post, we'll be able to update it as we go. epic is going to keep up, so to speak, and the mods can edit his post as we go.

Im hoping he'll make it...but he shouldn't play if he aint up to it. He'll ruin in career if he screws it up too bad.

I don't think Man U are about to let him play if it's even remotely likely that it'd set him back.

But if he does play, and plays well, it's great publicity for Man U.

yup, a Rooney who's just come back from a successful WC tournament, defied critics, whatever, will be unstoppable next year, i'd say.

apparently he was at Beckham's big charity event on the weekend and was seen dancing. positive signs. although i dunno how much of a dancer he is.

It's funny, Rooney sold his life story (apparently, I heard from a friend) for 100,000 pounds days before he broke his foot. Funny, not only should he have waited till after he broke his foot, but even untill after his quick recovery. Probably could have got more ;)
