I need to catch up on reading, but I'm really excited for the movie. Hopefully it does the comic justice.

 

I'm clearly going to need to investigate this further.

If I didn't hate Cera so much, yeah.

 

That's a really cool picture, cast looks spot on. Reviews from Youth In Revolt give me hope that Cera can pull off a character that's different from his norm. Can't wait for the trailer. Overall, I'm cautiously optimistic.





Oh and Edgar Wright is an amazing director.

 

*drum roll* August 27th, 2010 Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World Release Date


Sad that it's in August. Happy it's still coming out. Sad that the trailer probably won't be out till April Now. Sad that the last Graphic Novel won't be out till June or July. But yay for news.

 

Ditto. And being live action makes no sense to me, considering all the crazy stuff that happens on the comic page. But I hold cautious optimism regardless.

 

Sweet. Potential birthday screening for me, if I can stand to wait a few days after it comes out to see it.

As for Cera, I say give him a chance. And as for the live action thing, trust in Edgar Wright as a director.

 

I'd be worried about Cera if it wasn't Edgar directing.

But I've seen Cera at his worst and at his best over the last year. I went on a I have to make sure the actors casted will do well in their parts before I decided how fan girlish I was going to get over this movie.

-Juno for what little bit he is in it, he's okay.

-Nick and Norrah's Infinite Playlist, still probably one of the best movies I've seen this year. This was the movie that won me over to him playing Scott, as there are a lot of similar qualities from the novel with the Cera's character in this movie.

-Year One, could I please have my rental money back? This is why I said it depends on the director. Because the ball got dropped on this movie. It had it's moments. But that was it.

Now as for Edgar, I've seen Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz. Not gotten to watch any of his other work yet. But I know from those two movies alone, that Scott Pilgrim is in great hands. And Brian O'Malley seems to be quite jealous with how amazing Edgar made the movie, that he is now doing his best to how do him in the last Graphic Novel. lol

As for the other people casted. Unsure about Caulkin as Wallace Wells, I however did love him in Igby Goes Down. So we shall see. Still trying to find movies for the others to get some kind of concept to their acting ability.

And I think I'll end my novel now. lol
