Maybe, just maybe, that's because oh I don't know.... Quarterbacks don't actually play against each other? They play defenses...?
Meanwhile Brady and Gronk play catch with the Lombardi Trophy while on the boat parade today: He won seven of those so if one goes into the bottom of the ocean I don't think he will think much of it.
Just remember this is him after leading a COVID super spreader event with no masks and that will go away.
noticed this too, and they're catching a bit of heat for it (outside of florida, bc nobody gives a **** there). wild thing is that i saw a pregame documentary on brady's dad, who almost died of covid last summer, adamantly made sure to tell his interviewer that he still gets after his adult son tawmmy for never wearing a mask while on-camera.
Mayor of Miami has been frustrated with the COVID-19 response from the DeSantis since the beginning including non-enforcement of mask wearing and he is a Republican. Maybe that is because Suarez got it early on plus at least from I read about him is not a crazy person. As for Brady, I don't think he is one of the people "leading" Florida's insanity but he definitely could be a better role model about wearing a mask though if he takes the vaccine on camera and speaks out for it publicly, that could even more beneficial then wearing a mask. People have made up their minds if they are going to wear a mask or not (unless forced) for awhile now. There is still some on the fence about the shot that can be persuaded. Recent polling has shown more acceptance of it but we got to keep trending in that direction. Public service announcements for it including one from TB getting it would actually help a lot. Meanwhile for some NFL humor:
I wonder what kind of outrage there would have been if it was black players throwing the trophy. I guarantee the coverage wouldn’t be so cutesy. Just like laughing about intoxicated Tom. So cute.
if you want to talk about double standards, I wonder if what happened with Reid's kid had happened to Belichick's kid during a Patriots superbowl if the media would of had the same silence on the subject for the whole day on Super sunday expect for one mention of it for a moment during the game?
The irony of taking a comment about racial portrayals in media and trying to turn it into a conversation about persecution of Bill Belichick...while using a Cam Newton icon... ...it's a lot.
The more I contemplate what Tom Brady achieved here, the more in utter awe I am. Also, who the hell is going to beat them next year? "Swagger" doesn't even begin to convey how widely this team is going to be swinging their you-know-whats around next year.
shaq barrett, lavonte david, gronk, suh, fournette, godwin, joe haeg (RT, started in SB), and 23 others are all UFAs. tampa has about 31 million to spend. this was a team built for a one-year run and this super bowl win. while they could pull it off again, they'll need to do it with a much younger team and less expensive players.
everyone deals with injuries and weird stuff, especially this year, so i hate to point in that direction. but devin white as the relentless attacking mlb and lavonte david as the mlb assigned to cover kelce both did a brilliant job, and i would have been cool with either getting mvp. i think that's one the best 3-4 mlb tandems we're likely to see for a long time.
