The City of the White Snake, a floating castle, seemingly a common theme amongst multiversal beings, capable of traveling between realms and realities. Though such feats remain impossible for certain clusters of timelines. It is here where The Patriarch schemes, operates, and plans.

And it is here where some escaping the First Darkness came to.

This was a place that existed outside the cluster of realities, of timelines that The Master of Many Names manipulated in his quest to destroy the Darkness.

The Patriarch stood within the large open space inside the grand floating castle. His golden eyes twinkling still with the edge of fear within them, making sure that the First Darkness had not followed them here.

He stood, tilting his head as he awaited the arrival of the others. Malum Dragonson, Anubis, and the Azathoth from the Twilight time made it through with no issue. He presumed Cocytus being so close would have made it through too, but it might have ended up being all three than just the one he had been expecting.

Balance and the Master were the main two he was must curious if they made it. He had not been anticipating inviting them both so soon to his realm, but circumstances had changed that.

But that of Anguish, Jin Long, Manticore, Dunkeel, Soliloquy, Anor, Vydra, the two Pascales and Alecto he had no idea how many, or if any at all would make it here. Or if they escaped to another realm.

    Or died.

And so his golden eyes hovered, narrowed in their focus. Waiting to see who survived.

    Oh ****

It all went to many, many swear words in a very little time.

He’d managed to warn Braata-Bellorum, but he would have liked to have tracked down Arek before he made any deals with Caedus by accident -

But along came the First Darkness and Ike knew enough to just run. Black-Coat and all, he leapt through the Portal, all but pushing Manticore as he did.

    “Sorrysorrysorry!”

And then he was through -

    IC: Darth Manticore
    Arrival

In his estimation, anywhere, any place, any when was far more preferable, than remaining in the presence of the First Darkness; for that meant certain doom. It was ironic, however; that after meeting the Patriarch, a being of unfathomable power, the First Darkness would appear and nearly drive them all to madness at a mere glance - the magnitude of its sheer power was literally that incalculable.

Still, it was the Patriarch who’d provided a means of escape, for they had no the means to save themselves form such a threat.

Manticore had boldly stepped through the portal, followed closely by Jin Long, then by Lord Anguish - who remained hot on their trail.

The three Force users emerged upon a large and well lit vaulted room, with a high ceiling, white walls and large stained glass windows, Jin Long had a sense that this was possibly a shrine of some kind. Manticore’s fierce gaze scanned the area as he gauged for any possible threats, while Anguish spied for any articles of power.

All their gazes would eventually fall on the dominant figure at the head of the room: The Patriarch.

The three would walk forward in unison, though not due to any conscious decision either would make.

Manticore narrowed his eyes, as he fought back memories of the time the Sith fled from Typhojem into another reality. This situation was all too similar for comfort, except, he wasn’t confident that moving to another reality would be enough to escape.

    “How do we defeat it?”

The zabrak was direct, yet respectful. There simply was no time to waste on pleasantries if anything was to survive this time.

    Falling in with odd sorts.

Stepping through the portal his body stumbled slightly as his arm lingered behind a moment before he drew it through. Tugging his immaculate suit into proper order he looked at the others here, with barely a glance he stepped out of the path of the portal and tugged his white gloves slightly at his sides.

Many old artisans always strived to make the perfect object. The true masters upon reaching that state made a purposeful error, small and unobtrusive, that did not bother the items ability to function. It was a recognition that nothing in this life is perfect no matter how hard one tries, and homage to the fact that the perfect thing invariably rots all the quicker. An odd quirk of such things, showing the flaw in the materials, the methods, or the shaper sharper if they did not accept the inherent flaw. His hand beneath the slightly off white glove was his makers mark on this shell.

He stayed silent, plenty of others had their words and surely were speaking them or had spoken them. Especially when one considered Manticore being here.

Ah well, all in good time. Now how was that ship going to fit in here? Hmmm. At least this was a large chamber, it might work without running anyone over. Maybe. Hopefully that Tho Yor followed and hopefully it was functioning properly.

As he stepped through the portal he thought he would wake up beside Qwi.

But instead he had arrived in some sort of castle. And the fact that they were escaping from some sort of darkness...maybe Vydra and his Echo had some sort of plan for him to come here instead. Or maybe whomever was here did.

Especially since Vydra and the other Pascale knew something he did not about his future.

He could sense and see others here, perhaps they had all brought here for a reason. What an archeologist and former Underlord of Black Sun could do was a mystery.

Perhaps maybe it was his skills with the Echo?

Perhaps the figure in front of him could explain more.

    IC: The Patriarch

And so they came. The Patriarch's eyes viewed them softly. Ike was a slight surprise, he had expected that he would have slipped through some other means into another time... but it seemed he did not have the capability. Which meant he did not have a Key... though... The Patriarch simply looked to the man and the very ground seemed to spring up and bind him into place.

He could feel the whisper of fluid that was a piece of The Balance. Yet to manifest itself into a physical, humanoid form. His eyes drifted once more to that of Manticore, Jin Long, and Anguish. The first of which asked almost immediately how they were supposed to defeat the Darkness. A question the Patriarch was beginning to dissect himself.

Ah... yes and Soliloquy one that the Patriarch had not paid too much attention to during the time in the Master's realm, but he knew precisely who he was. And with him bounded a starfighter-sized object. Within the instant that it transferred into the large open space the Patriarch let out a single hand, controlling the exploding motion of it and drifting it off to the side away from the others.

His eyes glinted as he recognized what it was... his attention then shifted as five final figures came through.

Pascale Rouser... the one from the Twilight Timeline if The Patriarch remembered correctly... fascinating... truly fascinating. And then there was the trio linked through Cocytus, although one had the air of a Jedi... ah and that of his little apprentice Alecto.

Yes, it seemed most had made it through to his realm. The City of the White Snake. The Master was unaccounted for... which was equal parts annoyance and welcome and the two that had sealed shards of darkness remained unaccounted for, no doubt slipped back into their own time.

The portals then sealed, the Patriarch taking a moment to ponder for himself as he regarded the fourteen beings within the large room. His form then shifted, his hair and face changing ever so slightly, his clothes changing to dark green robes and his golden eyes becoming a sky blue. The initial tinge of fear that had been in the Patriarch's heart was now subdued... as thoughts and plans began to materialize within his mind.

"Well, I was certainly not expecting so many guests..." He tilted his head in quiet thought, to the Force-Users in the room it was as if he was dead, no Force-Signature registering off him. Not even the strange swirling power that dwelt within Anubis or Malum. There was nothing to him he just appeared as a man and that was all that could be seen. His voice had the air of a sovereign to it. One who was used to ruling and command.

"My, my so many..." He took a moment to categorize them all in his head. "You are going to want to sit down," He tapped his finger, and stone chairs leaped underneath each, materializing out of the ground, padded cushions flowering out from them. It was far more comfortable than one would expect.

"I am known as The Patriarch... what you have just seen as the Master so eloquently put it is the very threat he is trying to defeat. It is the cause of this game the Master has been playing... playing this game with each of you. Little pieces whether you like it or not, all in the effort to destroy that thing. I think we can all at the very least know and feel the very threat that thing represents. That it cannot be allowed to exist..."

He tilted his head in quiet thought... oh where to begin. His attention turned to Manticore.

"You asked how we defeat this thing? The answer is quite simple. We help the Master seal the Darknesses... You are all, with the exception of Malum and Anubis, from a cluster of realities, of timelines that I have come to call the 'M-Cluster'. Each of these timelines has what you call 'The Force' within it. It would seem that within this cluster of realities that the Six Darknesses are located. Two have been sealed in the beings known as Vydra and Dunkeel, another is amongst us here, a fourth is within what is known as the 'Twilight Timeline'

It would seem there are six in total, two have been sealed, a third is amongst us here, a fourth is in the Twilight Timeline where you Pascale and one of the Cocytuses are from as for the final two... well..."

    He glanced towards the Balance.

"I personally am not sure where they are located... but if we are able to seal these six darknesses it stands to reason that the First Darkness would be weakened. And then we... we can destroy it..."

He looked down to his hand, flexing it for a moment.

"This place we are in currently... it is known as the City of the White Snake. You can think of it as city-sized Tho Yor, it can slip between realities. However the M-Cluster... it has become increasingly unstable, beings that are not from it such as myself cannot neatly travel through it with well... without a key..."

    His head tilted to Soilioquy...

"So I am quite thankful Soilioquy for you bringing me one,"

IC: Soliloquy - as some cannot withhold names
    Waiting in a Spiders Lair

Others came. They gathered. Box followed his invitation, was brought low and to the side. Soliloquy stepped smoothly and in even steps to be near it. To speak with it with merely the mind. Be still friend. I am Soliloquy, heir and keeper of Dunkeel Legacy.

Soon the chairs were made, their host spoke and was still or small beyond measure as Soliloquy was small and still as mere man. Introductions were given and the situation of what they had just witnessed was reiterated for their benefits. Then the thanks was given.

Soliloquy reached up and patted a dotting hand upon Box. I'll protect you, we shall be bound now if you wish?

Smiling he cleared his mouth of spittle and sucked his lips in parting of the times between words. "Well. As ole' gaffer used to say, never leave home, without a way to return again." He gave a sardonic smile to Manticore with those words as well as the Patriarch.

This was going to be interesting. Yes, yes it was.

Location: Your mission, should you choose to accept it

So all was to be revealed...and Pascale was glad he was sitting down for this one.

The man in front of him transformed. The Echo was picking up nothing from him at all, seems this one wanted to keep his cards close to the chest.

The presences around him felt dark, although his was probably tainted after his body had been taken over by Typhojem. And died once.

So it seemed this Patriach had a mission for them. Seal the rest of these darknesses and then destroy the first one. Simple right?

The fact that one of them was in his ancestor Vydra shocked him. He got no darkness from the man whatsoever.

Would they have to kill him? He hoped not. And perhaps he had been given this mission to avert his fate in the so called Twilight timeline.

Would he head back home at the end? Would he have to leave Qwi forever? If it meant that she could have a brighter future then so be it. She deserved better than a war criminal.

It would probably mean spending the rest of his life alone again. Maybe perhaps to atone for what he did he had to lose that which he loved most. He envied the other Pascale, at least he had a happy life.

The man known as Soliloquy spoke up first, where was that accent from? And it seemed he had a ship too. Handy.

Pascale leaned forward, hopefully the others would understand his Commenori accent.

"I suppose the main question is: how do we seal these other darknesses? If two are already sealed within Vydra and Dunkeel then the frist darkness as you call it should already be weakened, correct?"

"And I am taking a guess here that we will be timeline hopping?"

He then leaned back in his chair "And if these darknesses are in Vydra and Dunkeel….are they safe in there? Or will they have to be dealt with?"

    O… kaaaaay

    Nice speech.

    But Ike lifted a hand.

    “Couple things.”

He pointer at Cocytus. “I don’t think he cares about saving us from the First Darkness.”

His hand swept to a few of the others.

“Some of us are already dead and have been taken out of sync of what was supposed to have happened. Isn’t that a problem?” His gaze took in Jin Long. “And some of us surrender to the Darkness within them later on in their timeline…?”

    And he eyed others still.

“Please don’t tell me I’m the only one paying attention to what the Six Darknesses truly are?”

    He looked exasperated.

    Darth Cocytus
    New World, New Ambitions

Darth Cocytus's eyes gazed up and then scanned downward as he stepped through the portal into this other world. By the look of things, it was yet another Castle, albeit in much better condition than the one in that in-between place. Certainly better than actually still being trapped in that nowhere realm nonetheless, Great Darkness or no Great Darkness, the kaminoan thought.

Darth Alecto was here as well. That's good. As were, as were his two variants, although Cocytus still wasn't sure why they were needed other than to merely confirm his musings on Infinite realities.

So many others were here including… Manticore? Oh pray tell why the Patriarch brought him along. No doubt he'd have a grudge for betraying and killing Insipid, that sycophant!

Now the Patriarch was here. No doubt this place was his very own. He began giving a little speech as Cocytus sat and stared, listening to him explain the structure of the Multiverse and how they may destroy that First Darkness. His eyes widened in peaked interest as the Patriarch spoke of these "Six shards of Darknesses". Could he be the one to have such a thing? One of the Shards?

Curious. Is there any power in these shards?

Suddenly one of the other visitors spoke, calling him out, and he feigned insult, all though what Ike was saying certainly wasn't true in the slightest.

"Now, how could you say such a thing?" Cocytus asked dryly, "That First Darkness seeks to destroy everything I seek to rule over. It is a great enemy to all of my plans. Of course I have an interest in destroying it, as I do all who stand in my way of absolute power."

    His eyes narrowed and smirked.

"So watch your tongue when you speak of your allies."

OOC: Not putting words in everyone's mouths with how the Balance is seen, but just saying how he'd let himself appear to those present.

    IC Balance
    Arriving

Little dust devils kicked up around the area where those flocking through the portals were arriving. Already, some of them were gathering their wits and the Patriarch was speaking to them, trying to gain their attention and their focus. The being was right, they needed to recover from the trip and what they had seen, as quickly as possible.

The particles from the dust devils began to flow together, slowly pouring into a shape, a form. When it finally coalesced it was a taller, grey robed and cowled shape, standing casually among all the brightness of the area, hands together before it, hidden in the long sleeves of the robe. Unlike what had happened in the Master of Master’s realm, this shape, this figure, when seen by any of those in attendance appeared as those they knew, most familiar to them.

Ike, therefore, was treated to a revolving spectacle of faces and shapes, beings beyond count, having had the most varied experience with Balance.

Manticore and Cocytus mostly saw a being that was a perfect doppelganger for Bernael.

Soliloquy saw the old anzati, but several others as well, slowly shifting from one to the other, including Bernael, a Taung, an Eriaduan, and a Neti.

Jin Long saw his old friend, battle brother, N’Tael.

Anguish saw his old classmate, Tarkin.

Pascale, not having experience with Balance, Alecto, and the Patriarch, if the latter would even describe what he saw, wouldn’t entirely be sure they saw a being standing there, or somehow something with altogether more depth than is should have, seemingly held in the ‘skin’ of the robe.

Allowing his face to be seen, Balance snorted, the cowl swaying as the head within shook. ”Same thing, different venue.” he muttered, more to himself than anything, waiting for any to say anything of use, although he knew Ike needed to be watched.

    A Greater Threat…

All he could do for now was listen, learn and attempt to place these new pieces together. The Patriarch imparted a great deal of info, yet there seemed to be more that needed to be revealed. He felt 'nothing' from the Patriarch, but then, that wasn’t completely a surprise. Was it because the Patriarch was too vast a being to be sensed…or because he was hiding something?

Manticore’s fiery gaze fell briefly on Ike, who did feel very different from what he remembered. How curious? A multiversal doppelgänger perhaps? did it matter? Ike’s mention of the Six Darknesses seemed significant, but who was he referencing? The Patriarch had revealed two by name and insinuated a third within those present. Manticore’s gaze shifted to Darth Cocytus. Was it the kaminoan?

Not to anyone’s surprise, the zabrak did not sit down, but stood and merely nodded, acknowledging the offer. The Monk accepted the offered seat readily, while Lord Anguish hesitated for a moment, before deciding to see what would happened. As for Manticore, he now regarded Lord Soliloquy with a tinge of curiosity. Was the sage here at Darth Insipid’s request or of his own accord?

Manticore made sure to internalize what knowledge he could glean from everyone within the room. Including the ‘ancient vessel’ that did appear. Clearly, there would be no end of unusual occurrences going forward, if he was reading things right.

And then (surprise!) something completely unexpected happened.

Darth Bernael himself materialized from gusting eddies. This was not his customary stealth entrance associated with the Anzati Sith Lord, but Manticore felt quite pleased upon seeing his battle-brother. The zabrak was about to take a step forward, but paused as he saw his two counterparts rise, also pleased- but speaking different names.

N’Tael, you live.” Jin Long exclaimed, offering a ‘fist in palm’ greeting.

“I was wondering which one would I have the ‘pleasure’ of seeing again. I’m glad it is you, Tarkin.” Anguish intoned smoothly.

Manticore realized then, that they were speaking to the same being, but seeing someone who was individually familiar to each. The zabrak’s fiery gaze narrowed slightly, the only evidence he was letting his disappointment flow out of him. He could not allow such illusory tricks or distractions to dissolve his focus.

Despite everything that was happening and everyone’s storied past, dealing with the threat of the First Darkness demanded their collective cooperation. All other ploys of domination or pending vendettas could wait until after existence itself was safely rescued from certain oblivion.

“So then,'brother'. Where or when do we begin?”

    New Information

The Patriarch tilted his head gauging the reactions and questions of the others. His mind considered things carefully as he first viewed Balance take a physical form. Perhaps surprisingly to Balance the Patriarch viewed not one face or the robe-like nothing one would expect. But no... he saw a fast flicking of faces... perhaps countless faces from the past, present, and future. Time being but a plaything to those that operated on this level.

Though it revealed a kernel as to how Balance's 'multiverseness' worked. It seemed the Patriarch, the Master, and the Balance all had different mechanics for how their versions existed. Though neither quite knew yet how the Patriarch's worked if they even cared.

"I suppose the main question is: how do we seal these other darknesses? If two are already sealed within Vydra and Dunkeel then the first darkness as you call it should already be weakened, correct?"

"And I am taking a guess here that we will be timeline hopping?"

"And if these darknesses are in Vydra and Dunkeel….are they safe in there? Or will they have to be dealt with?"

“Some of us are already dead and have been taken out of sync of what was supposed to have happened. Isn’t that a problem?”

“And some of us surrender to the Darkness within them later on in their timeline…?”

“Please don’t tell me I’m the only one paying attention to what the Six Darknesses truly are?”

"Now, how could you say such a thing? That First Darkness seeks to destroy everything I seek to rule over. It is a great enemy to all of my plans. Of course, I have an interest in destroying it, as I do all who stand in my way of absolute power."

"So watch your tongue when you speak of your allies."

    ”Same thing, different venue.”

“So then,'brother'. Where or when do we begin?”

The Patriarch allowed the questions and statements to roil forward, considering them all as he tilted his head.

"I must admit Pascale, Ike... I have only learned of this Darkness recently..." he began to wander towards Ike who was still encased in earth, although not making a fuss about it. "But my, my I always find it humorous when ones that think they know more than others try to present themselves as such... taken out of sync you say? Your 'M-Cluster', your timelines Ike that the Master is so obsessed with, the lives that live within it make less than a one-millionth of a percent of the total amount population of the Omniverse... but well I suppose we can fix that issue in a way..."

He tilted his head, glancing back to the Balance.

"You think that creating a clone 'husk' and sending them back to the point the original was supposed to die would be sufficient? These are not M-cluster type clones mind you, that seem to have so much trouble creating a Force User clone..."

He looked back to the various beings that had been plucked and fated to die.

"A possible solution... there are others..." he mused for a moment longer. They literally had all the time in the world to fix that issue as long as they did it in the end. It was not a pressing priority.

"Ah but Ike..." the Patriarch slid a hand underneath the man's chin. He sensed the exasperation in the man, it was quite obvious. "You seem so concerned, so worried... and you have knowledge I desire... apologies but this is just far simpler for me," He took his other hand and grasped Ike's head firmly, emerald green lightning pulsating, and arcing from his hand.

"The mortal mind is quite a wondrous thing..." spoke the Patriarch speaking to everyone else in the room and no one in particular. "Filled with the messages of electrical signals, rushing to and fro that form thoughts. Patterns of electricity are reconstructed to form memories, feelings, emotions, ideals... if one has the power to create electricity... and more importantly able to control it precisely... you can hijack the mortal mind, forcing it to reconstruct these memories. You can even form new memories, new patterns and implant them into the mind and the target would be none the wiser. The world Malum is from..."

He gestured towards the dark armored man, standing with his eyes narrowed at what the Patriarch was doing. He was just as new to this place as the rest of the people here.

"...has made this quite the art form." he released his hand from Ike's hand and undid the earth seal that enclosed him. The sensation for Ike would be.... unpleasant. It was not painful, surprisingly so that there was no pain. But it was unpleasant, his mind feeling like it was recalling memories without him willing it to as if someone else was in there forcing him to recall these memories.

"You have suffered through much, and your mind is most resilient for having been warped so much. So this is what it means to serve the Master..." The Patriarch shook his head slowly, digesting the new information he had gathered.

The Patriarch considered things further, most would perhaps be horrified by this news, but he was simply impressed it seemed there was no length the Master would not go to in order to achieve the destruction of the Six Darknesses. The extent these beings were being played... the Master's manipulation was greater than he had expected.

"Avoiding future Changes would be ideal... splintering and fracturing the mess that is M-1011 is of no help..." He gestured a finger over to the masked man that was Azathoth. He strode to the Patriarch, look towards him.

"Those of you from the Timeline that this man is from, along with a few others... need to be returned. It is, an inevitability that I now understand must be enacted. Fortunately, your souls are likely yearning to back towards it so I do not have to worry about the fine-tuning of sending your essence into the M-Cluster it should naturally return itself to the correct timeline..."

Portals then slipped out underneath the two of the Cocytus', leaving the Cocytus Azathoth had made the offer to, standing beside Alecto. Another portal underneath Jin Long. Slipping him back to where he had once came. The Patriarch's head tilted to view Pascale... he was from the 'Twilight' Timeline as well... but... there was a possibility there. The Patriarch gave another wave of his hand, Malum and Anubis disappearing.

The Patriarch tilted his head towards Ike.

"I am less interested in this issue after what I have witnessed in your life, though I would still prefer to stop it if able..." he continued to look towards Ike, but his tone was shifted as if he was speaking to the Twilight Azathoth.

"Nyx will take of care things here, be sure our guests are well looked after," A final portal appeared, and out stepped a final man with a rather bored expression on his face. The Patriarch clasping his shoulder as the two-faced in opposite directions, a small bounce of the same green electricity, and then the Patriarch vanished. Sensing out a final message to the Balance.

Come to where you sense my signature... I have many questions for you, if you are willing.

    TAG: @darthbernael

All that remained of Patriarch's contingent in the large open space that they had first arrived was the man named 'Azathoth' still masked and unmoving, the darkness of the Force swirling around him quietly. And another man that had just arrived that the Patriarch had named 'Nyx'.

"Father is very poor at introductions, but that is his way," he spoke his tone and cadence to the point with a very detached affair about the whole thing. The Balance was presumably gone with the Patriarch at this point and from his body language, he was not addressing him if he was still there. "My name is Nyx I am the second in command of the organization known as the Omniversal Holy Order. Our purpose is not really any of your concern, in that it does not affect you, yet. From the sound of it there seems to be an eldritch threat that promises to end all of existence, do I have that right Vox?" He glanced to the Twilight Azathoth who gave a nod and a verbal confirmation.

"Yes Sir, and it's even worse than that Xenos threat that almost broke that version of Earth."

"It would seem that way, I was not able to see your memories for a period there, if it's capable of surpassing and blocking out Father's links... that is concerning."

He paused for a moment. And then looked towards Pascale.

"It would seem the Shards are sealed with the Force and the strength of Will of the host, the Dark Side of the Force is completely useless against them...timeline hopping is a given, the Darknesses with Vydra and Dunkeel would appear to be safely and utterly sealed given they have had no normal side effects that a host has when they are carrying a shard. Twilight Azathoth here can attest to that,"

As he spoke the Force-Users would be able to sense the faint whiffs of a Force Signature from Nyx, and then it was gone in an instant. He then moved his head to Manticore.

"There is a pretty simple choice you all have, you can join the Omniversal Holy Order here and stand against this threat or you can return to your various different timelines. Though Pascale your situation is a bit more complicated we can cross that bridge when we get to it. If you want to return to your timelines and play into the Master's way of doing things as insignificant pawns on a table you can do that, or you can stay here, for a time."

Someone else had joined the party, Pascale could not tell what he looked like and the Echo was not giving any clues either.

And it seemed one of the dark siders had intentions to rule, using this mission to do some good old fashioned galaxy dominating. Just like Typhojem wanted to before Pascale managed to talk him out of it.

Typical Sith. Like to dominate and rule by fear.

Thankfully none of the others had such machinations. One of them seemed keen to get going.

But what one of them had said (Ike he eventually found out his name) hit him like a brick. And it recalled back to what the other Pascale had said before Vydra gave him a look.

    You should be…..

    Dead.

    He'd died.

How? Why? Did Qwi see it? Was it to do with his Echo? Or someone had killed him for his past crimes? Only the other Pascale and Vydra knew.

But Pascale knew he had to do something. He was certain now he could not go back. Qwi would suffer either way but he wanted to survive. Qwi deserved better, deserved a happier life than either watching him die or looking over her shoulder to see who would grab him.

He hated the fact he would be breaking her heart if he stayed. But her heart would be broken whatever he did. He had found the love of his life...but fate it seemed had a mission for him. To cheat death and save the galaxy, timelines even.

To be in charge of his own destiny for once.

The Patriarch it seemed had zeroed in on this Ike. And then...did something? With his memories?

Dangerous fellow this one. Cross him in the wrong way and end up losing stuff. But having a clone go back to replace me? Qwi would still be hurt whatever happens.

Some were then sent back to their own timelines and Pascale wondered if he would be one of them as his destiny was fixed. But with a relieved sigh he was spared.

The Patriarch disappeared and was replaced by someone else. This Nyx as he was called focused then on him.

And to Pascale's relief he found out that Vydra had successfully sealed his darkness within him. His ancestor was strong in will much like Pascale. His Echo caught something from Nyx but it was fleeting.

So he had a choice: go back or go forward. The others he did not know what they would decide. And his situation was complicated? Because he was supposed to die? Because his timeline was set?

Time to change that. I'm so sorry Qwi my cheri. But I have a chance to live and do something that can possibly absolve me of my crimes. You deserve someone that loves you better than I ever could.

He looked at Nyx, his blue eyes narrowed "Complicated? Because everything may be set? Let me counter with something I have heard. The future's not set, there is no fate but what we make for ourselves".

"Nobody decides my destiny but me. I have a chance to do something good when in the past all I did was bad. Could I die in this mission? Maybe. But I am willing to take the risk if it means saving timelines. To erase the darkness tainting the Echo of my ancestor Vydra. I'm not going back to my timeline if there is darkness and death there".

Pascale smiled "I'm in, I will join you".

    Looking over

He didn't enjoy that... though it wasn't painful, it was fairly unpleasant to be rummaged through.

Ike eyed those who were here. "I'm not here for you or Darknesses or Changes or Masters."

He brandished a finger at Manticore. "Hell, I'm not even here for the Sith."

His tone grew harder still. "I'm not even here for Insipid."

He waved a hand at Pascale. "You might not realise, but it is fixed. The Master of Masters sent his eye through to the future, saw everything for the next thirty-five thousand years, and fixed it in place because the future can't be seen and not be fixed. The M-whatever is a set of branches because any Change off that path triggers a different timeline."

A shrug. "If we're gonna deal with the Six Darknesses - and the First Darkness, well, we need to deal with the fact that the Master of Masters is just as bad and needs to be killed."

He eyed Nyx. "If, and only if, the OHO makes that a stated goal, will I stay, because otherwise I'm going back, to find Bellorum from my time."

OOC: Actions towards Pascale discussed with @Jerjerrod-Lennox

    IC: Nyx

The City of the White Snake

Nyx looked to Pascale with the same neutral, perhaps bored expression. He cocked his head every so slightly to the side as he took several steps towards the man.

"I'm in, I will join you".

Nyx’s head cocked to one side as he studied the man, a mere foot away from him as his head then turned a mere fraction towards Ike who had his own comments to add.

"You might not realise, but it is fixed. The Master of Masters sent his eye through to the future, saw everything for the next thirty-five thousand years, and fixed it in place because the future can't be seen and not be fixed. The M-whatever is a set of branches because any Change off that path triggers a different timeline."

Nyx looked towards Ike for a moment, responding to this comment first.

“Indeed Ike, it would seem you are correct… the M-cluster has grown too large already. Further ‘Changes’ as you call them will only further destabilize the whole Omniverse…”

Nyx’s head turned to Pascale in quiet thought as his hand wavered over the man’s forehead.

“This is the only way… not that you’ll remember it…” spoke Nyx as he then tapped Pascale’s forehead as two seemed to peel away from each other. One Pascale remained in front of Nyx with his eyes closed, the other, the original, still awake as he tumbled backward.

“Your fate is sealed… there is nothing more I can do for you, other than assure you that one day all will be reborn,”

A portal opened up in the direction of the original Pascale as he fell into it, his body falling into it as his soul, his essence was guided back to its correct point in time.

Nyx’s cold, dispassionate eyes hovered to everyone else as he spoke.

“Trillions of lives outweigh a single life, wouldn’t you say? Do not speak to this clone of his truth, it is not your right to fracture his mind…and no I will not be doing this to each of you that accept, it had to happen to Pascale but not for the rest of you. His future was already determined,”

Unlike The Patriarch, Nyx offered no explanation to the 'magic' he had just performed. He then tapped the clone’s head, Pascale awakening with an identical set of memories to the original up until the point Nyx first tapped his forehead.

Nyx’s eyes shone as he then turned to Ike who it seemed had more to say.

"If we're gonna deal with the Six Darknesses - and the First Darkness, well, we need to deal with the fact that the Master of Masters is just as bad and needs to be killed. If, and only if, the OHO makes that a stated goal, will I stay, because otherwise, I'm going back, to find Bellorum from my time."

Nyx strode over to Ike, his head cocked as before as he silently appraised the man. Letting a moment or two slip by.

“No Ike, you are in no position to dictate demands to the Omniversal Holy Order. Father has seen your memories… you have no means of escape, no way to get out of here. So do not act as if you have any cards to play,”

    Nyx paused for a moment.

“You are but a man, twisted and perverted by the callous nature of unmoving gods… and we offer you a chance at a second life, a new beginning and you make demands?”

His dead eyes scanned around at those remaining to speak.

“I can understand if you want a further explanation of what we are, but understand I can only tell you so much,”

Pascale shot a look at Ike that said you're not helping here.

But it did concern him that maybe perhaps his mission would be over before it began. That eventually he would have to go back and face his fate. This Master seemed like a right evil person.

This Nyx fellow seemed to agree and before Pascale could protest Nyx did something. All of a sudden there was another Pascale...and he was going backwards. No doubt heading back to where he came from.

"What the he-" he managed to get out before being sucked away.

Neither he nor the clone would realise that whatever they did Qwi was destined to die too. Lost, alone, broken a loving bond that Pascale's spirit would shape with her new lover smashed. Her body, mind and spirit giving up after so much death and destruction.

The Delomeux line and Echo would come to an end in the Twilight timeline.

Neither would know either that in the One timeline the Delomeux line was still going even without an Echo which they knew had been stripped from that Pascale thanks to Vydra.

However there was now a chance to maybe keep the line and Echo going in another timeline. To be as Nyx pointed out reborn. And maybe redeem the darkness that had penetrated Pascale thanks to Typhojem.

The clone awoke wondering what had just happened. Of course he still thought he was the original Twilight version.

Ike it seemed was still going but Pascale did have to smirk as the man was put in his place. Pascale loved a good rivalry, maybe Ike would be a good rival to joust with.

The others had not chosen yet….but what would they choose?

Pascale was ready for another adventure.

    Meeting Power

"Well, isn't that something." he stated as he watched and felt all that happened and was said with an intense intent to not miss a thing. It was all so instructional! It was energizing and hunger inducing in the grandest form of how things new could so simply. . .be! Standing he leaned against his ship as he watched more unfold.

Irritatingly Box had not voiced its desires or acceptance of Soliloquy just yet, but he was fine with that. "Very well, a Holy Order with no defined meaning to what it holds holy or sacrosanct? How could I ever refuse? Giant ethereal horror before me and shadowy manipulator behind? Yes, it all rather checks out." Tapping a vest pocket he felt around for a small metal that he removed and tapped absently as he looked at this. . .secretary. It was a touch of a tirade, but honestly this was nothing yet.

"Unless you wish to highlight these glaring vacancies of your words, or even if you do not I suppose I would like to join. As one of the few with an actual card on the table that your vaunted leader of your holy order is interested in I would like to pin an addendum of a postulation of cooperation. Aid in my elevation to an omniversal being would be my ask." Popping open the case he pulled out a small white tube that was filled with what appeared to be crushed leaves tightly packed inside. Bringing it to his lips he waited a half breath before canting his eyes to the side. "Beneficial to all if things go well, more powerful allies are always better than weaker ones."

Note: This response takes place after Manticore’s conversation with The Balance and Jin Long’s departure as effected by The Patriarch.

    ****************
    IC: Darth Manticore
    Identity

As always, he quite enjoyed any exchange he had with his battle-brother, Darth Bernael, though this time, the truth of this being’s identity was far deeper than initially expected. Manticore was generally known to be a passionate warrior, but overtime, the zabrak had learned to derive satisfaction from less visceral pursuits as well.

But that moment came to an end and now transitioned to another, even as the Patriarch departed the chamber.

Manticore’s eyes narrowed to fiery slits as the over-potent being simply departed, stating that he was simply ‘less interested in this issue’ after he’d forcibly siphoned information from Ike’s mind, at his whim and pleasure and completely without Ike’s consent. That the mighty acted on their whims was not the issue, but rather, that the Patriarch who had gathered them all to this place, simply chose to depart after his review of Ike’s memories. What had he seen that would make him ‘lose interest’? Was the future not always in motion then? Did all probabilities concluded with the same end?

To depart now, knowing what was a stake, could be interpreted as an act of cowardice and self-preservation, or perhaps he had seen something else, a pyrrhic victory? Such considerations did not seem to matter to the all-powerful being, for depart he did. The Patriarch did not bother to explain, despite having gone through all this trouble to save them, but instead took his leave and relegated authority over to his…’son’; Nyx?

A wave of irritation washed over the zabrak Sith Lord once again. Nevermind the young man’s resemblance to Darth Azathoth.

Their new ‘leader’ and second in command of this so called ‘Omniversal Holy Order’, Nyx introduced himself and went on to speak of Timelines and M-Clusters and such things. Manticore’s irritation only grew, but the mention of ’Twilight Azathoth’ had momentarily drawn his curiosity, and by extension, that of Lord Anguish; who unlike Manticore, took in all the information being shared.

That Nyx sensed Manticore’s irritation would not be a surprise, since the zabrak Sith Lord was not one to hide what he was feeling, unless he did not wish to be sensed. The young man spoke of choices, ‘Join the Omniversal Holy Order or be returned to your doomed realities’, ( but not in those words ) - as if these qualified as real choices. Manticore huffed, but did not interrupt, as Nyx continued to address the one called Pascale.

On the other hand, Ike had choice words for Nyx, for Pascale and for Manticore.

‘Not here for the Sith. Not here for Insipid.’

    Oh? Then for whom?

Apparently, Ike's condition for joining this ‘order’ was that the Master of Masters be included on the ‘kill list’. Otherwise, he would return to Darth Bellorum.

That sentiment was one the zabrak could very well understand. Hate was clear and pure, like a burning sun.

Manticore took a moment to consider a bit of information while conversations continued. He'd feel Lord Anguish’s gaze upon him as the two were probably thinking in similar terms, though he chose to ignore the ‘dead’ nagai for now.

Ike mentioned that the Master of Masters had sent his eye ‘thirty-five thousand years’ into the future. What did he see? Where was the report? Why not 'thirty-six thousand' years? Could the Patriarch himself not travel to that exact moment? or beyond it? If these nigh-omnipotent beings were hard-pressed to contend with the First Darkness, then why perpetuate these theatrics?

While he mused, Manticore eyed Pascale, who had been the only one to voice his agreement to join the ‘Order’, that is, until Lord Soliloquy himself also agreed. His reasoning and conditions caused Manticore to smirk.

Power, in its myriad forms, was almost always attractive. Almost.

    'Well played…'

But would Lord Soliloquy’s 'Omniversal Ascension' be enough to even the field? Though such a condition had yet to be met.

Manticore turned his fiery gaze towards Nyx.

“I will not be joining your Order, for I am already a Sith.” The zabrak declared plainly. behind him, Lord Anguish slowly shook his head, but knew it was best to remain silent.

“For a brief time, just before my ‘fall’, I was bestowed the greatest honor by the Sith Emperor Darth Insipid. He and the the Sith Leadership did elevate me to become a Sith Triumvir, if only for the briefest moment. For in that moment, in that timeline, Three Supreme Sith did rule. The Supreme Sith Sorcerer Emperor Insipid, The Supreme Sith Assassin Dark Lady Bellorum, and The Supreme Sith Warrior Dark Lord Manticore. What agency could even hope to stand against these Sith?”

The zabrak allowed himself a pause and took occasion to gaze at Darth Cocytus before continuing.

“In that moment, no power in the galaxy could have stood against Insipid's Sith Order and it would seem 'fate' agreed- for it did conspire to remove one of the three supremes, so the Sith would not become stagnant or complacent upon reaching this new pinnacle, the Apex of Might. A piece of the Sith Pyramid was broken-off, so the Order could be rebuilt once again, stronger than before.

Is the broken piece not still part of that legacy? Do some not seek to further the ‘Rule of Two’ after millennia? More to the point, regardless wether one aligns with Darth Bane or Darth Insipid, I say we fundamentally represent the Sith- at least in this room. But not just the Sith in this room, but the Sith in all timelines."

"Does the Patriarch's Power and Authority not flow wherever he goes and to whomever he confers it? The same is true for the Sith.

So, I am here for the Sith and for the continuation of the Sith. I need not join any Order to fight along side it, not if our enemy is one and the same.

So then, I ask you. Who is my enemy?”

OOC: As stated in the OOC thread switching styles.

    IC: Nyx

For the first time Nyx smirked ever so slightly, it was just the corner of his mouth but it was enough to change from his bored expression. He looked towards Soliloquy in thought as Manticore then spoke at great length, especially for him, about the supremacy of the Sith... that would not be too difficult to shatter... perhaps.

"And what makes you think that such a thing is even possible that Father and I were not born this way? He and I are the only two that could be described as 'Omniversal Beings' amongst this Order,"

He paused for a moment as if considering something.

"Say it was possible, such a thing would not... could not simply happen overnight and what expense would you be willing to undergo, not of the material but of your soul, of your morality... because the price of such a power is immense and harrowing," His sky blue eyes glinted for a moment as he then resumed speaking. "I will describe to you however as a good gesture a part of the nature of the Patriarch... he is one that is able to take part of his essence, of his being and fashion it into a new form, a reincarnation of his self as he then sends it to a universe. The memories of this 'Aspect' of him are directly linked to his main essence, his mind. And so everything that an Aspect of his thinks, or feels, or does, or sees... everything gets funneled, continuously into his mind. A human would be driven mad by such an experience no doubt. But it all serves in his simple quest... to understand and experience all things. A keeper of knowledge and bestower of power,"

His eyes then swiveled to Manticore.

"Your fight with Anubis was not enough to shatter the notion that the Sith are the Supreme force in all things? A fight that pushed you to the very brink, with world-shattering powers about to be unleashed that Father quelled within an instant. Do you think your 'ever-powerful' Triumvirate would be capable of doing it so effortlessly?"

He nodded his head for a moment as he considered something further. He did not bother to answer the question of who or what Manticore's enemy was. That had been something that had already been gone over... but he knew Manticore was making a point, that he already knew the answer to such a question.

"But you are a being that respects power above all else, I can certainly understand that. What would impress you? The erasure of an entire timeline? Myself destroying a series of planets...? Or...perhaps a duel... yes perhaps a duel Manticore that seems like something that would appeal to you"

The small smirk was now gone from his face by this point as his cold blue eyes took Manticore in.

"If I defeat you in a duel will you join then? And if you defeat me I will teach you how to become an Omniversal being,"

It looked like one had agreed, but the other named Manticore….

It looked like he had not taken the lesson from Ike’s telling off because even he was mouthing off. All about the glory of the Sith. What was it about darksiders and wanting to conquer everything.

It didn't matter who Pascale’s boss was so long as he got paid. Of course in this mission he was probably going to get paid with keeping his life. Which was fine by him. The feeling of darkness was pressing on him and the Echo was sensing it all. It seemed some of the Sith didn't fancy saving timelines, only furthering them for their own gain.

The Sith and the Jedi were only good for one thing in Pascale’s opinion….gathering artefacts for him to pick up.

Nyx was firing back and he was giving as good as he got. And a duel? Pascale despised violence and if violence had to be done he rather preferred other people did the dirty work.

And Pascale felt he had to say something here.

“You know I am not a Sith” he said looking directly at Manticore, yes he was about to argue potentially with a Sith but it was well worth the potential pain to say what he meant “I’m just an archaeologist carrying an Echo, an Echo that was tainted b the Sith God Typhojem where I died and was brought to life. I don’t carry the Force like you Sith do”.

It probably makes me weaker than you all, but you know what? Power means nothing, I have seen that for myself as a former Underlord of Black Sun. You can have all the power in the universe but it means you underestimate others. The little guy for example. Because they can surprise you. Like here, in the presence of Sith I am the little guy compared to you all. And you probably think me weak as I am no Sith. But I can surprise you”.
“We are here to save timelines, not conquer them. We are here to redeem not continue our past behaviours. To save, not destroy. I think this First Darkness is as bad the the God Typhojem and that we should work together to stop this, not fighting amongst ourselves”.

“Or are you going to let them win and take everything that you possess? Or are you going to be a part of history? Nyx and the Patriach are our only way to survive…..and fight back. Maybe once the mission is done you can all go back to conquering or whatever it is you Sith do”.

    Darth Cocytus
    To be a God...

Darth Cocytus sat back in his chair listening to the Patriarch continue explaining what was going on before suddenly watching as his two counterparts be sent away much in the same way as they arrived, through those golden portals that brought them from the inbetween place to this home of the Patriarch. Why they were brought out of their respective timelines, though, was beyond his knowledge, but they did confirm his theories about the multiverse, or Omniverse, as it now was. All that did, however, was make a single galaxy much too small for the Kaminoan’s ambitions.

Cocytus would give a glance around the room, seeing if any other counterparts of the cast, if any, had been sent away and was surprised to notice… Darth Bernael? Now isn’t this becoming more and more of a Sith reunion, the kaminoan thought, wondering if anyone else from his past was going to show up.

Cocytus turned his attention back to the Patriarch who then left, leaving the stage to his apparent son… Nyx? Isn’t that a feminine name? Well, each to their own, he thought with a shrug as the new speaker further explained the situation. Suddenly, however, there was discontent in the audience. With Ike declaring that he would only join the Holy Omniversal Order to defeat the First Darkness under the condition that the Master of Masters dies as well. A sympathetic desire considering what a thorn that Black-Coated fool has been on the sides of many. Meanwhile, Darth Manticore, whom Cocytus greeted with a small smirking wave, declared no loyalty to any but the Sith Order, not just the Insipid Sith, but the Sith Order throughout all of reality. The kaminoan could not help but find that attitude to be most admirable and true to a Dark Lord of the Sith.

    And yet…

“I myself find it best,” Darth Cocytus spoke elegantly standing up, “That an alliance against the First Darkness would prove most beneficial to all of us. To destroy the First Darkness and prevent the end of all things. My Apprentice and I shall therefore be siding with this “Holy” Omniversal Order… until our goal of the First Darkness's destruction has been achieved at least.”

The kaminoan smirked thinly with glowing yellow-orange eyes staring towards the distance. Only a baby born yesterday would believe that Cocytus had anything other than ulterior motives in his declaration of course, but why should the kaminoan care? His ambitions and lust for power were something he wore on his very sleeves with great pride.

“No doubt, through this very endeavor, we shall gain great power and knowledge of the Omniverse. Knowledge and power that will take the Sith Order itself higher than ever before in its history.” He pointed out specifically to Darth Manticore, “Pray tell why we should pass on such an opportunity?”

His eyes then shifted to Nyx.

“And you say it is possible to become an Omniversal Being ourselves?”

Nyx was quite content for Manticore to respond to Pascale as the man's head tilted to Cocytus who now spoke. He did not care particularly that Cocytus got the order of words of OHO wrong, it was a triviality. He let out a slight sigh... these fanatical Sith... so utterly broken, broken people. Broken souls. He did not enjoy speaking at long length as the Patriarch does. In truth, he was a being that preferred to work alone, which was likely why all his...

He cocked his head to the side, allowing the question of Cocytus to sit in his mind for a moment as he looked toward the stone wall of rage that was Manticore.

"Possible is a vague, and misleading word. Your very souls degrade as you continue to use the Dark Side, power has its price after all. All that power, all that torture you inflict onto yourself..." He mused for a moment longer, there was a delicate balance that needed to be maintained.

"A pure, strong soul is needed for our particular method, but I could still tell you how, hypothetically... if one was reckless enough to continue anyway. But there is a reason that Father and I are the only two 'Omniversal Beings' among our Order here. It is not some candy we are going to give out,"

He glanced around as he thought for a moment.

"An alliance is an acceptable transaction, for both of you..." spoke Nyx as he glanced to Cocytus and Manticore.

"But my offer stands Manticore if you wish to possibly learn of this truth, but if you lose you will be compelled into our service,"

    An uneasy yet necessary Alliance

There were subtle intricacies evolving within the chamber, if one had the keen sensibility to see them. To become an ‘omniversal being’ was not a birthright ; at least that was his understanding thus far. If that was indeed the case, then it was a process. How very curious.

Talking was exhausting, but it was a necessary sacrifice if he was to learn what needed to be known. Thus, Manticore continued to engage those present in the chamber.

And so, Nyx did issue a challenge to the zabrak Sith Lord, after practically undressing and qualifying ‘Sith Power’ as inferior by default. Not that there was any error in his reasoning. The Patriarch had made an ample demonstration of true might before the First Darkness made its presence known- consequently dwarfing the Patriarch by simply appearing. To think on this at length would be categorically…unhealthy.

Still, the M-Cluster, to use the given terminology, continued on for millennia without interference from these so-called 'omniversal beings', that is, until Wapoe. And now everything that ever was, was at risk of being unmade.

Who was to say that these mighty beings, after everything was set right, would not simply make them forget the entire affair and deposit them back where they had come from, oblivious to their deeds. Certainly, that could happen-but to continue in any capacity- that was much preferable than the End of Everything.

These thought coursed through the zabrak’s mind between moments of conversation, at which point his attention was directed to the man called Pascale.

A man who did not posses the Force, and was an archeologist by trade - not a warrior. Manticore listened to this man and let his force senses wash over him, so he could feel beyond the limitations of mere words. Indeed, there was something there. This ‘Echo’, it was quite interesting, though he could not tell quite what it was. Moreover, the man had died, thanks to Typhojem it would seem.

Such an encounter would change any who survived- or more accurately, any who was brought back, for nothing survived Typhojem. Therefore, Pascale's point regarding the First Darkness and Typhojem did not fall on deaf ears.

Indeed, Pascale was a brave soul for addressing a Sith Lord in such a manner, and clever besides. It was true, they would need each other if they were to succeed in their mission. Darth Cocytus himself wisely ‘echoed’ the same sentiments, despite having ulterior motives. So, considering what they were up against, it would seem these would become allies of convenience- for the present hour demanded it to be so.

    How very curious.

“You have surprised me, Pascale.” Manticore rasped, almost menacingly as he took a step closer to the man. “You do not allow your weakness to define you, that’s to be commended.” He declared, then bestowed the man with a slight nod.

Manticore then turned to face the kaminoan Sith Lord.

“Yes, I'd have to agree that this is a most unique opportunity, one likely not to be ever repeated.”

Manticore found he could give many reasons to ‘pass’, but such an exchange would be fruitless and damaging to what was necessary. Not all threats were as obvious as Typhojem: which meant he needed to think in terms his battle-brother Bernael would, and also Lord Sabel.

It was clear the zabrak did not wish to make a decision in haste, thus a brief moment passed after Nyx had spoken yet again, which prompted the zabrak to respond. The Omniversal youth had spoken the right words.

“I see you are keen of mind, Nyx. Indeed, I find an ‘Alliance’ to be acceptable toward our common goal. To that end, I will grant you the duel you seek after we have succeeded in our mission and not before.”

Manticore offered a respectful nod and a small smirk. There was nothing to be gained by facing a ‘Leviathan’ unprepared.

“Yet still, I am fully confident that Lord Soliloquy could learn and apply this ‘Omniversal’ process of yours sooner than you expect. In fact, I’m willing to wager on it.”

The zabrak’s smirk grew ever so slightly. If there was going to be an Alliance, then there was no reason it couldn’t be made to be...interesting.

Behind Manticore, Lord Anguish found himself slowly nodding. Pinpricks of opportunity were growing ever so slowly. If ‘Pascale’ could escape certain death….

The last one to speak was this Cocytus, seed he and his apprentice were in as well.

And of course he was joining Manticore on the "Sith Rule All route". Did this Cocytus just simply ignore what Pascale had just said?

Forget it Pascale, they are Sith Lords. You are talking to a brick wall if you think you can change their minds.

Nyx responded again and it seemed he was telling the darksiders the way it was. Continue to use the dark side and face possibly having your soul erased.

Of course when using the Echo it had been draining, too much of it and you risked unconsciousness, even death. Which was why Pascale resolved after hearing Nyx's statement to use the Echo in emergency situations.

Of course the Sith wanted to know about being Omniversal beings, the power, prestige and no doubt the fact that maybe you could expand your life.

The same things as people wanted to do in ancient legends. To become gods.

Pascale felt Manticore's gaze on him, and the Echo was detecting...ah yes. He was touching Pascale through the Force. Manticore took a step forward, rasping menacingly.

If it was meant to scare Pascale it only slightly worked as Pascale's blue eyes stared right back.

After Manticore had finished speaking Pascale nodded back at him "You compliment is noted Lord Manticore. Let me say that I have faced a Sith Lord and a God in my time, so I am used to speaking to dark siders".

"As an archeologist I have faced many dangers. Maze's, bobby traps, bottomless pits and so on. This is no different. In archeological terms we are about to fight our way through our own puzzles to reach the ultimate goal".

"Except at the end there is no treasure, this time it's a creature that wants us all dead".

He turned to Nyx "I suppose the question is, do you or the Patriarch know what we could be facing out there?"
