    Summary:
Following an encounter with a mysterious crystal in the Unknown Regions, Revan finds herself marooned in a galaxy at war millenia after her own time, when everything and everyone she had ever known or loved is dead, buried, and become one with the Force. As if that wasn't enough, Revan finds herself pursued by the modern day Jedi Knights due to a series of mishaps and accidents in both the Chancellor's Office and the Jedi Archives, bounty hunters after several run-ins with criminals end in blood, earning the displeasure of several crime lords across the galaxy as well as Darth Maul's budding Shadow Collective, and the modern-day Lords of the Sith due to Revan's legend as an ancient Sith Lord.

Ultimately, the Prodigal Knight is forced to enter the Clone Wars as a third party and is faced with a choice once again: save the galaxy from the treachery lurking in the shadows, or dump starship fuel on the galaxy and watch as it burn to ashes. However, even one of the most powerful Force Sensitives to ever roam the galaxy cannot do either of these things alone. Thankfully, the Force works in mysterious ways, and may just bring her allies... and perhaps even an apprentice or two to carry on her teachings in this new era...

Hello, everybody! Name's DarthKnaves1995, and, this is my first post here on the Jedi Council formus! Hopefully, I'm doing this right... feel free to point out what I'm doing wrong if I'm making a goof!

In any case, I recently became hooked on the Knights of the Old Republic duology, and after reading a couple fanfics where Revan is sent to the Clone Wars era, I thought I'd try my hand at the concept, while trying to deviate from the norm a little bit, such as having Revan be female, as most fanfic use the male Revan, since he's canonically a guy.

Oh, and before I forget, this bulk of this story starts a few months after the Mortis Arc of Clone Wars series, so smack in the middle of Season Three, as Ventress hasn't been betrayed... yet. But, thanks to Revan showing up, events from Season Three onwards, while they still happen, are all over the place in the timeline. In other words, take everything you know about Star Wars: The Clone Wars post-Mortis Arc and throw it out the window, we're goin' freestyle baby!

Well, that's about all I wanted to cover, truth be told, as everything else dives into spoiler territory. Let's get started!

    Prologue

Unknown World-Three Years After The Jedi Civil War

In the dim light of the sunset on a dark and desolate world, three figures made their way across the red sand plateaus, surrounded by the crumbling ruins of what was once a mighty empire, reduced to nothing more than ancient tombs where long forgotten evils slept, never to be awakened lest ruin befall anyone foolish enough to do so, and crumbling monuments and statues that echoed silence, evil, and death.

One of these figures walking across the sands was a very unique protocol droid, heavily armed with a rocket launcher, a high-quality Echani blaster rifle, and a vibrosword attached to his back, two blaster pistols and an assortment of various grenades at its side. The droid was constructed out of a weathered red metal complete with intimidating red eyes. This droid's designation was HK-47, a highly advanced assassin droid with a great sense of humor and a seemingly unquenchable thirst for unadulterated violence, leading his mistress to question whether his red exterior was the result of rust or if it had been stained that way from blood.

The second figure was what seemed to be an unassuming utility droid, a stone gray T3 unit to be exact. However, T3-M4 was anything but unassuming, possessing a fierce dedication and loyalty to those he considered his friends.

The third figure, however, was clearly the most intriguing and intimidating of the three. Her slender frame clearly revealed her to be a female, clad in long dark hooded robes with a form fitting suit of gleaming black and silver armor constructed from unknown materials that had a number of technological additions built into it. Her face was concealed by black and red mask, and a pair of lightsaber hilts hanging at her side, gleaming in the setting sun. This woman had been called many things over the years. Savior. Conqueror. Hero. Villain. She was a lot of things, and yet she was nothing at all. This was Revan, ex-Lord of the Sith and hero of what had come to be known as the Jedi Civil War.

"Query: Mistress, what exactly are we doing here and when do I get to shoot something?" HK-47 asked, a hint of impatience in his vocabulator.

Reven chuckled as the trio reached what appeared to be a stone monolith of some kind. "We're not here looking for trouble, my old friend. If we were, we'd be looking for whatever was behind the destruction of Katarr… Malak and I weren't the only Sith Lords out there, you know, assuming this rumored Sith Triumvirate actually exists…" said Revan, her voice distorted by her mask. "We're here because of the visions I've been having recently," Revan continued as she held her gloved hand before the monolith.

"There's something here that the will of the Force seems to be guiding me towards out here in the Unknown Regions… although why Bastila didn't have the same vision given the Force Bond we share, I cannot say… perhaps it is a sign that our bond is growing weaker… or perhaps this is something meant for me alone... ah! There we are!" said Revan as she found the niche in the Force that allowed her to cause the monolith to slide open, causing what felt like a surge of the Force to emerge from the depths of the ancient passageway that was underneath.

A serious expression that was concealed by her mask crossed Revan's face. "Right. HK, T3, you two stay out here and cover my back. If something happens to me, get back to the Hawk and get out of here. Carth will be your master in that scenario. Make sure no harm comes to him or Dustil," said Revan as she took the two lightsabers from her belt and descended into the passage.

"Acknowledgement: affirmative, Mistress Revan," replied HK-47 as T3 watched Revan disappear and made a soft cooing noise.

    Underground Passageway-A Short Time Later…

To her great surprise, Revan's journey through the underground caverns was nothing more than a simple walk down a long hallway… which probably meant that the real danger was waiting for her at the end of the passage.

Except, when Revan finally reached the end of the hallway, there was nothing there that she could see nor that her Force Senses could detect. In fact, the only thing that was in the cavern was a massive crystal that hovered in the air that seemed to be rapidly changing colors.

This is it, thought Revan as she approached the crystal. This crystal is the artifact that I saw in my vision…

As Revan drew closer to the crystal, she began to hear voices whispering as what seemed to be images of indistinct figures danced upon the crystal's surface.

    "YOU WERE THE CHOSEN ONE!"

    "There's good in him…"

"I have waited a long time for this moment… my little green friend…"

"I don't like sand. It's rough, and coarse, and itchy… and it gets it everywhere."

As Revan drew closer to the crystal, she reached out her hand to touch the object. But, when her fingertips touched the surface of the crystal, the artifact began reacting violently, rapidly changing colors as the images within the crystal's surface began flashing rapidly as the whispers began to speak faster and overlap with one another, forcing Revan to clap her hands to her ears as she tried to retreat out of the cavern, only for a stray energy burst to collapse the exit to the room, trapping the former Sith Lord.

"Oh no!" cried Revan as the energy produced by the crystal reached its peak before it erupted in a tremendous explosion that consumed Revan as she screamed in a mixture of defiance and fear along with the entire underground passage, only for the explosion to abruptly fade, leaving the caverns restored as though the massive explosion had never happened.

    "Begun, the Clone War has…"

And that's a bingo! This prologue is most likely a bit on the short side and maybe a tad bit rushed, but I think I did okay. Anyway, if you liked what you saw here, or are interested in where this is going, be sure to leave your thoughts, and join us next time as Chancellor Palpatine gets an unexpected visitor in his office! See you then!

Hello, everybody! DarthKnaves1995 here, coming at you with a new chapter of The Prodigal Knight Returns! The original plan was to upload this chapter on Friday, but I figured, since this chapter is uploaded onto the other fanfiction sites I'm part of, why not upload it today?

Anyways, here's a few things to know about Revan's equipment. First off, Revan's default outfit is what I like to call the Foundry Robes, which were created by the Rakatan Foundry, which Revan made a pit stop at prior to looking for the crystal that sent her to the Clone Wars era. These robes are basically a fusion between both the Star Forge Robes/Armor and Revan's Robes from KOTOR 1, in that they provide the benefits of both outfits, are not alignment restricted, give Revan a boost in both light and dark power, and has a number of surprises and other features up its sleeves. In other words, it's a badass suit of armor befitting of the badass that is Darth Revan.

Additionally, apart from her classic red and purple lightsabers, Revan has a collection of lightsabers that would put General Grievous' to shame. Some single-hilt, some short, some double-bladed, that were taken from a number of different individuals that Revan killed, like the Mandalorian Leader from that side mission on Dantooine in KOTOR 1, the Dark Jedi that ambush you on the different planets with Star Maps (and wherever else Dark Jedi are fought in KOTOR 1) Darth Bandon, Darth Malak, and so on.

Well, that's all I wanted to go over. Let's begin!

    Chapter One: An Explosive Entrance

    Coruscant-Legislative District-Chancellor Palpatine's Office-3,532 Years and Three Months Later

As a thunderstorm raged upon the city-planet of Coruscant, Chancellor Sheev Palpatine really wished he was somewhere else right now.

With him in his office right now were renowned and respected Jedi Councilmen Yoda and Mace Windu, along with lesser-known members of the Jedi Council Shaak Ti and Ki-Adi-Mundi. Also in the room were several senators and other political dignitaries, including Bail Organa, Jar Jar Binks (who Palpatine really wanted to either fry to a nice crisp with Force Lightning or introduce to the business end of his lightsaber, never mind the fact that it was because of Binks that had gained so much political power and authority in the first place), and Senator Padmè Amidala.

Palpatine had long since learned to deal with how infuriating his successor as the Senator of Naboo could be at times, especially considering she was secretly married to his prospective next Sith apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, and therefore could be a potential instrument in bringing about Skywalker's turn to the Dark Side, as well as something he could potentially use to keep Anakin in line should he get any ideas about usurping his power once he had turned. But, at the same time, he couldn't help but pray that, Force forbid, Anakin and Amidala did not have any daughters that were as much of a political idealist as Amidala was.

But, now was not the time to dwell on that.

The reason that the politicians were there was because they wanted to discuss a potential bill to further increase spending for the so-called Grand Army of the Republic, even though the Republic was dumping every last credit it had into the Clone Troopers' equipment, vehicles, weaponry, ships, and other military supplies. The Jedi, meanwhile, had shown up early for their own meeting due to a scheduling error. However, the Jedi had decided to hang around and add their own two credits to the discussion. However, Palpatine wasn't concerned about the outcome of the vote on the bill, not when he had virtually the entire Senate dancing to his tune. In fact, suffice it to say, Palpatine practically was the Senate. The bill would pass, and the Clone Wars would continue as planned, until the time came that he issued Order 66, which he suspected was not too far off.

In all honesty, Chancellor Palpatine was tempted to just zone out and let the room chatter amongst themselves, however, that option was quickly thrown out the window when Palpatine suddenly sensed an unprecedented disturbance in the Force. So great was this… well, somehow calling whatever it was that had just happened in the Force a "disturbance" was a grave understatement, that Palpatine honestly struggled to keep his expression neutral and had to grip the arms of his chair lest he tipped off the Jedi to being Force Sensitive, not that they were really paying attention anyway, clearly having sensed the same incredible disturbance he had, and were currently distracted by the mass of energy that had materialized near the center of the room, which was quickly going critical, much to the concern of the politicians and Jedi present.

"TAKE COVER!" yelled Master Windu as Palpatine ducked behind his desk and the rest of the Jedi and politicians hit the deck mere moments before a sudden and violent explosion detonated within the office, demolishing the room and setting off practically every alarm in the building, though thankfully causing no serious harm to those present.

Through the smoke, bolts of purple lightning danced from something within its center, which quickly turned out to be a person, a woman, to be more precise. Clad in dark robes, a form fitting suit of armor that was integrated with the robes, and a black and red mask concealing her face and making her appear rather terrifying, if the scream from one of the politicians was anything to go by, and two lightsaber hilts hanging from her belt.

Palpatine, doing his best to play the part of a terrified and feeble old man, peeked out from behind what was left of his desk. The figure before him was concerning on a number of levels, the twin lightsabers on her belt notwithstanding. For one thing, despite the fact that the Force was screaming at him and most likely the Jedi Masters as well, from all directions like it was being subjected to the ministrations of a thousand torture droids, the Dark Lord of the Sith could not sense this woman's presence in the Force at all, despite the lightsabers being a dead giveaway that she was Force-Sensitive and had clearly been trained in either the Jedi or Sith arts. Still… that didn't stop Palpatine from thinking there was something familiar about this woman.

Mace and the other Jedi, meanwhile, pulled out their lightsabers and activated them, pulling the chancellor out of his thoughts as several Senate Guards consisting of a mixture of Blue Robes and Red Robes, hurried into the room, blocking the only apparent exit from the room. "In the name of the Galactic Senate of the Republic," Mace said with the seriousness and authority of someone who was used to giving orders that were followed to the letter. "You are under arrest. Remove the lightsabers and surrender immediately, you are surrounded."

The woman, Revan, for the most part, was somewhat irritated but was more confused than anything. From a quick glance out the window, the former Dark Lord of the Sith could tell that she had somehow wound up on what appeared to be a Republic city-planet, Coruscant if she were to hazard a guess. And from the looks of things she had just caused an explosion in the middle of what seemed to be an important political meeting, and had earned the ire of four very powerful and skilled Jedi Masters, one of which, much to her great surprise, looked remarkably similar to Master Vandar, a member of the Council of the smoldering ruin that was once the Jedi Enclave on Dantooine.

Revan tilted her head as she studied the Jedi further… something seemed rather off about how powerful they were. While they were indeed powerful, they weren't as powerful as the Jedi she had known. In fact, it seemed as though they weren't as powerful as they should have been under normal circumstances, like something was dampening or weakening their connection to the Force…

Regardless, the mess Revan had caused with her appearance did not bode well for first impressions, and clashing with Jedi and security in open combat in the presence of several politicians would most likely make her situation worse. She needed to get out of here, and put enough distance between her and the Jedi so that she could find somewhere quiet to process what was going on.

"Oh, um, sorry about the mess… didn't quite expect that to happen…" Revan said, her voice augmented by her mask. "Is this a bad time? Should I come back later?"

Senator Padmè and a few other politicians present probably would have chuckled at the masked woman's joke if they weren't equal parts curious, confused, and terrified by Revan's abrupt appearance. And in all honesty, she didn't need to be a Jedi or able to use the Force in general to know that this woman could probably give her Ani a run for his credits in terms of raw power. As it were, Padmè was examining the mysterious stranger as much as she could, trying to memorize everything she could about her in the hopes it could help her husband and his fellow Jedi in his investigation, as well her own investigation, off the books, of course.

"I won't ask again, terrorist," Mace said with that same authority, raising his violet lightsaber as he drew closer. "Remove the lightsabers, and surrender. Now."

Revan sighed and shook her head. "No, I don't suppose you will, Master Jedi," she said before, faster than blinking and making it all too apparent to Palpatine and the Jedi that this woman had somehow been concealing her presence in the Force, she charged towards the broken window and leapt through it before calling upon the Force once again to fly through the air as gracefully as a bird, weaving in and out through speeders until she was nothing more than an indistinguishable dot amongst many within the stormy terrain of Coruscant.

"So… using the Force to actually fly like a bird in the air… that's new, as far as I can recall," said Shaak Ti as she and her fellow Jedi deactivated their lightsabers while the senators and other politicians made their way over to the senate guards.

Yoda gazed out in the direction Revan had flown off in. "Full of secrets and mysteries, even to those that walk the path of the light, the Force is. Certain abilities and powers once commonplace among Jedi, lost to time have been," he said. "Send word, we must, to the Jedi Temple, about this attack. Summon Skywalker and Master Kenobi to investigate. Results, we need, and get them, they will."

"Yes, Master Yoda," said Ki-Adi-Mundi as he left to do just that.

Palpatine emerged from behind the wreckage of his desk. "Well! That's one way to break up a meeting!" he said, clapping his hands as he spoke. "Now then, if you'll excuse me, Master Jedi, there are a number of other matters that require my full attention."

However, as the Chancellor turned to leave, Yoda spoke up again. "Wise for you to be alone, Chancellor, it is not," he said.

"Well, now I don't think-" Palpatine started to say before Shaak Ti spoke up.

"I concur, Master Yoda. We have no idea if this attacker was working alone or not. If there are others, and if they are also Force-Sensitive and have the power to mask themselves in the Force, then the Chancellor will need Jedi protection," she said.

Palpatine started to speak up again only for Mace to cut him off again. "It is settled, then. Until this incident is resolved, Master Adi-Mundi and I will stay with the Chancellor at all times today," he said.

Palpatine heaved a sigh. "Very well, Master Jedi. If that's what you think is best," he said.

"We do," said Yoda. "Master Ti and I, return to the temple, we will. From there, coordinate the search for the intruder, I will."

The Jedi nodded in agreement and began to leave the room. Master Yoda, however, stopped and turned to look at the wrecked room and gaze out the broken window. Troubling times, these already were, and with this mysterious stranger's sudden appearance, even more troubling, he suspected these times were about to become.

The storm raging over Coruscant, the ancient Jedi Master suspected, had only just begun.

    ?

Ahsoka Tano was wandering through a gray fog so thick, she could hardly see her own hand in front of her face. In the distance, she could hear the sounds of a lightsaber battle taking place nearby, and from the sounds of it, she was getting closer to it.

Suddenly, Ahsoka hit her knee on something just as the fog suddenly began to dissipate. Within moments, Ahsoka realized she had hit her knee on a starship's control panel. Looking over to where the sounds of the lightsaber battle were coming from, she saw three Jedi, two of which were indistinct, but the third, a human woman carrying a yellow lightsaber striking down a dark hooded figure that held a red lightsaber, was clear as day.

I didn't know Kaiburr crystals came in yellow, thought Ahsoka. Then again, Master Windu uses a purple lightsaber, so maybe it's not so surprising.

Meanwhile, another hooded figure, female by the looks of it, used the Force to choke what seemed to be a fourth Jedi to death.

"You cannot win, Revan," the human woman declared as the hooded woman, Revan, gave a dark chuckle as she twirled her crimson lightsaber.

"Can't I, Bastilla Shan?" said Revan, her voice augmented by what Ahsoka assumed to be some sort of mask or vocabulator. "I think I'm doing a pretty good job so far."

Ahsoka turned her gaze to the viewport of the ship and saw that an unfamiliar ship was turning to face them, clearly getting ready to open fire. Unbidden, Ahsoka cried, "Master! Look out!"

However, her confusing cry fell on deaf ears as the enemy starship opened fire, causing the bridge to explode, knocking Revan to the ground and blasting Ahsoka forward.

Suddenly, the scene around her changed. Gone was the starship bridge, and instead Ahsoka found herself on a steel walkway in a dark station of some kind. Looking down at herself, Ahsoka saw that she was older, and wearing a black strapless tanktop, black pants with a belt that had her lightsabers hanging from it, and black boots.

But, more than that, her connection to the Force felt different than what it usually was. She felt more in touch with it than ever before. She could feel both the light and, much to her alarm and confusion, the dark side of the Force intermingled and fused together within her, a true pinnacle of balance and control.

    It felt… wonderful.

Suddenly, Ahsoka began walking forward on the catwalk and soon reached the end where what appeared to be a door leading further into the station. On the other side, much to her surprise, was the hooded woman from before, Revan.

"Ah, there's my best student," Revan said with a fondness that could only come from a teacher speaking to her star pupil. "Tell me, what do you know about a world called Lothal?"

Jedi Temple-Living Quarters-Ahsoka Tano and Barriss Offee's Quarters

Suddenly, Ahsoka awoke from the intense dream she had been having, her body covered in sweat as she looked around the room in a panic. Slowly, her more immediate memories began to return to her. She had been doing her regular Jedi Meditation, when by the looks of things, she had fallen asleep. It wasn't the first time this had happened, but it was the first time that she'd had a dream that intense when she'd fallen asleep.

That dream… what had it been about? thought Ahsoka as she tried to recall the dream, but it was like trying to keep water from one of the fountains from the Room of a Thousand Fountains in her bare hands… man, that was a frustrating part of her training with the Force.

Shaking her head, Ahsoka put the dream from her mind before realizing that her roommate wasn't around… and then she remembered why exactly Barriss wasn't there, causing her to groan in frustration as she fell back on her bed.

"Right… archiving duty," grumbled Ahsoka as she begrudgingly pulled herself out of bed and made her way towards the Jedi Archives.

And that's a bingo! If you liked what you saw here, then be sure to leave your thoughts and join us next time as Revan invades the Jedi Archives in search of answers for what exactly is going on with her situation. See you then!

Hello, everybody! Jack of Knaves here coming at you with another chapter of The Prodigal Knight Returns! Now, before we get started, I think I had better address the potential plot holes in my incarnation of Revan's backstory that could crop up after I did some further research. First off, Revan got all her memories back when Malak spilled the beans about who she really was, except for those involving Tenebrae/Vitiate, so she and Canderous, as well as T3-M4 and HK-47, still needed to head to the mountains to get Mandalore the Ultimate's helm back. It was when she found the Helm and the Holocron that she remembered about Vitiate. After persuading Canderous to become Mandalore the Preserver, Revan, HK, and T3 swung by the Foundry (which Revan kept a secret from everyone in case the galaxy needed its capabilities one day) where Revan got her sweet new armor/robes before heading out to face Vitiate, only for the Force to redirect Revan to the planet with the crystal with visions in her sleep, went to that planet, found the crystal, and the rest is history.

Hopefully that closes a few plot holes in this version of Revan's backstory. Oh, and before I forget, since the Darth Revan character tag has been added to the Movie Star Wars sub-category on fanfiction dot net, I have since made this a story exclusive to the Movie Star Wars sub-category. Why there are multiple Star Wars sub-categories is beyond me, but I don't run the site, so yeah.

Anyhoo, with that out of the way, let's get started!

    Chapter Two: Home Invasion

Chancellor Palpatine's Office-A Short Time Later

The door leading into Chancellor Palpatine's office opened with a hiss, and through it walked two men that were often regarded as the best Jedi of their age, at least in the eyes of the general public: Obi-Wan Kenobi and his former apprentice, Anakin Skywalker.

As the two Jedi looked around what used to be an office, but what now looked like a crime scene mixed with the aftermath of a thermal detonator going off, with the members of public security and several clone troopers milling about the place trying to gather data on what had happened in the office earlier that day.

"Looks like someone had an eventful start to their day," Obi-Wan commented wryly.

Hearing the two Jedi approach, Mace and Ki-Adi-Mundi walked up to Anakin and Obi-Wan, serious looks on their faces. "Master Kenobi, Skywalker, glad you could join us," the dark-skinned Jedi Master said.

"What's the situation, Masters?" Anakin asked, seriousness in his voice.

"I can answer that for you, sirs," a nearby clone trooper captain said as he approached the four Jedi. "I've just received a report from one of our search teams."

    "Go ahead, trooper," said Mace.

"My men just finished their sweep and lockdown of the Senate Building. There were no suspicious persons or missing civilians who had not already checked in for the day. In short, it seems like the intruder was working alone," the captain explained.

"What about the Senators and the Chancellor? Are they okay?" asked Anakin, the concern in his voice earning a glance and the smallest of smiles from Obi-Wan.

"The Chancellor is fine, just a little shaken," replied the captain. "As for the others, nothing outside of any minor injuries. The medical teams wanted to take a few of them to a medical center, but Senator Amidala insisted that they take her back to her apartment."

Obi-Wan couldn't help but chuckle. "That does sound like Padmè," he said.

"What is being done to search for the intruder?" asked Mace.

"We've got several teams searching the Legislative District. We've also started setting up checkpoints around that perimeter, and have ordered all local traffic pass through a checkpoint and searched. Additionally, all ships leaving the planet must be searched before they are granted clearance to leave," explained the captain. "We've also started posting footage of the attack on the local Holonet, and we've posted a bounty for anyone who comes forward with confirmed sightings or information. It may take some time, but we will catch her."

"Thank you, trooper," said Anakin as the clone trooper saluted and walked away. Anakin then turned to the other three Jedi. "Do we have any leads?" he asked.

Ki-Adi-Mundi shook his head. "None right now… however, I feel we should be ready for anything. If this was an attack by the Separatists, then I fear there may be more trouble ahead," he said.

Obi-Wan shook his head. "I don't know… something tells me this wasn't the work of Count Dooku or any of his inner circle," he said. "This intruder had a number of well-known Senators and even the Chancellor himself in the palm of her hand. If this intruder really was hired by or in league with the Separatists, why didn't she try to attack anyone? In fact, the explosion didn't even cause any serious injuries. No, I feel we are dealing with a third party here, with their own motives."

"Well reasoned, Master Kenobi," said Mace with a nod. "However, that doesn't mean we can let our guard down until this attacker is caught. We can discuss these things at length once we've dealt with the matter at hand."

Anakin's robotic hand clenched. "I'll find this intruder and put an end to this. She's too dangerous to be left at large," he said with a hint of anger.

"Not to sound like a malfunctioning vocabulator, but don't let your emotions cloud your judgment, my apprentice," Obi-Wan cautioned.

"Your master is right, Skywalker," Mace said, his face and voice as hard as stone. "This is not the time for rash actions. The attacker was armed with a pair of lightsabers, and there was a tremendous disturbance in the Force before she appeared, as I'm sure you and many other Jedi have felt, and she was able to fly away from the scene of the crime without any apparent means of flight. Taken together, we have to assume that this attacker has some form of training in the Jedi arts, or worse, the Sith arts."

"I concur with your assessment, Master Windu. I feel that until we know more about this attacker, we should have all Jedi remain in pairs of two," said Adi-Mundi.

"Understood, Master," said Obi-Wan while Anakin nodded in agreement. "Anakin and I will search the area around the Senate Building where our masked friend was last seen. We'll contact you if we find anything."

"Good luck," said Adi-Mundi. "May the Force be with you."

With that, Obi-Wan and Anakin left the Chancellor's office. Once the office doors closed behind them, Anakin turned to his master. "Hey, Master, I'll meet you at the hangar bay, I need to check on something real quick."

Obi-Wan turned to look at Anakin, raising an eyebrow slightly. "Alright," the Jedi Master said. "But, don't be too long Anakin. This investigation is our top priority."

"I know, Master, I'll be right behind you," Anakin said reassuringly.

Obi-Wan nodded and walked away as a small smile crossed his bearded face. Anakin wasn't as good at hiding his thoughts as he thought he was. In fact, the entire Jedi Council knew about Anakin's "secret" marriage to Senator Padmè, and had, much to Master Windu's irritation, adopted a "don't ask, don't tell" stance on the matter, as Anakin clearly didn't let his attachment to Padmè get in the way of his duties as a Jedi. Obi-Wan, for his part, couldn't help but hope that one day he would be allowed to train Anakin's children, never mind the fact that they might be even more frustrating to train than Anakin himself had been… although a part of him, as well as some of the Council, were concerned that the Sith could use Padmè as a tool or a bargaining chip to seduce Anakin to the Dark Side.

Obi-Wan looked back at Anakin without moving his head. The future was ever-shifting, that much was for certain. But, he knew that whatever happened, he would have Anakin's back.

    No matter what.

    Meanwhile…

Once he was sure his master was out of sight, Anakin ducked into an empty hallway. Checking to make sure no one was around, Anakin pulled out his holo-communicator and typed in a sequence, causing a small hologram of Padmè Amidala to appear in his hand.

Anakin couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief at the sight of his beautiful wife, and the fact that she only had a few small bandages on her forehead and hands.

"Padmè! I'm so glad to see you… are you okay? When I heard about the attack, I-" Anakin said.

"I'm fine, Annie. Just a few scrapes, that's all. Although, I am a little annoyed that my security team won't let me go back to the Senate Building," said Padmè with a hint of irritation.

Anakin couldn't help but smile. "Not even a terrorist attack can keep you down," he said.

"But, enough about me. How's the investigation? Is everyone else alright?" asked Padmè.

Anakin nodded. "Everyone else is fine. No one had any worse injuries than you did. But, the attacker is still out there. Obi-Wan and I are about to go looking for her now."

Padmè let out a sigh of relief. "Okay, that's good to hear. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help. Please be safe out there, Annie… I've never seen four Jedi Masters get outplayed like that," she said.

"Don't worry about me," said Anakin. "You need to lay low and rest until this terrorist is caught. And I promise, I will find them, and they will regret trying to hurt you."

"I'm sure you will, Annie," Padmè said with a smile. "Now, you should get going, I'm sure Obi-Wan is waiting. I love you."

Anakin smiled. "I know. Love you too," he said as the hologram of Padmè disappeared, and Anakin put his holocommunicator back in his pocket and made his way to the hangar bay.

    Jedi Temple-Near The Front Entrance

Revan, now clad in the customary robes of the Jedi Knights with only a single lightsaber hilt at her side, stood gazing up at the front entrance of the Jedi Temple, her absent mask revealing her to be a young woman with short ashy-black hair, fair skin, and gray eyes, her brown cloak blowing about in the wind as the storm raged on overhead, her mind racing a thousand miles an hour.

Shortly after escaping from the Jedi Masters after her explosive entrance into what seemed to be a high-ranking politician's office, Revan had quickly come to the conclusion that this was not the Coruscant she had known, although it was still thankfully under the control of the Republic, and, as she could confirm from a "generous donation" from a random schmuck following a simple Mind Trick, it still used the same credits. Regardless, the fact remained that she could sense that this place was not the Coruscant she had known, as when she tried to search for her best friend, Bastila Shan, through the Force Bond the two of them had shared, there was nothing, and the same went for the Force Bond that had begun to develop between her and her stepson, Dustil Onasi. Additionally, there was the fact that the date currently said that the year was 1,012 PDA, whatever that meant.

In short, Revan was left with a small mountain's worth of questions that needed answering immediately, and in the end, Revan knew that there was only one place on Coruscant if not the entire galaxy that contained the answers to those questions. And that place was the building that the former Dark Lord of the Sith and Supreme Commander of the Republic military was currently standing in front of.

Well, no use standing out here in the rain, thought Revan as she made her way towards the security checkpoint that had been set up at the front entrance of the temple.

Getting past the Temple Guards stationed outside the front entrance proved to be a simple matter, as all it took was a little bit of her power to break through their mental defenses and make them see only what Revan wanted them to see, and sure enough, the Guards had cleared Revan for entrance, and were none the wiser to the fact that she was actually an intruder.

As she entered the Jedi Temple, Revan felt something from the old structure within the Force that caused her to smile softly. It felt as though an old friend was welcoming her home, and the feeling brought comfort to Revan's heart.

Lowering her hood, Revan made her way towards where she last remembered the Jedi Archives to be located within the Coruscant Temple. As she made her way through, Revan knew she needed to make sure she kept her thoughts well-concealed, as while the Jedi she had known were too proud and perhaps arrogant to a certain degree in their belief that no disciple of the Dark Side, be they perceived or genuine, would be foolish enough to invade a Jedi Temple, Enclave, or Academy, and challenge the Jedi at their home, she couldn't afford to take the risk of foolishly believing these Jedi had that same arrogance.

It wasn't long before Revan stood before the doors that led to the Jedi Archives. Pushing them open, Revan's jaw dropped in surprise when she saw what was on the other side of them.

The Jedi Archives were massive. Far, far bigger than they had been when she had last been to the Coruscant Temple, further reinforcing the fact that this was not the Coruscant she had known. However, Revan was quick to pull herself out of her surprised state. She couldn't allow herself to get caught now.

Spotting an open terminal nestled in the back of the Archives clearly intended for a place of quiet study, Revan made her way towards it and took a seat. Her first order of business was to figure out what exactly the "PDA" in today's date stood for. After she typed a few commands in on the digital keyboard in front of her, a nearby security panel opened, revealing a mechanism that could only be accessed by the Force, seemingly to ensure that only a Jedi could access the information stored in the archives.

How clever, thought Revan before she moved her hand over the mechanism and tried a few patterns with the Force. After a few failed attempts, Revan was able to access the Archives. Hmm… I suppose too many students get it wrong, so there is no alarm for getting it wrong too many times, mused Revan before she began typing on the digital keyboard.

After a few moments, Revan discovered that it meant "Post Dark Age." Digging a little further, Revan discovered that the era before 0 PDA was known as the Dark Age, and from the looks of it, it was during this so-called Dark Age that the Mandalorian Crusades and the "Republic-Sith Empire Wars," had taken place.

Reven froze with her eyes wide in shock as the implication of what exactly this meant began to sink in. Whatever that crystal she'd dreamed about and had ultimately found really was… it had sent her thousands of years into the future, into an era where everyone she had ever known or cared about, from Mission Vao, the street-smart kid from Taris, to Meetra Surik, her best friend prior to becoming a Sith Lord, was dead, buried, and one with the Force. Just as her old friend and apprentice, Darth Malak, had told her, she would forever stand alone, adrift in time… unless of course she either found new allies to stand beside her, or if she could beat the odds and figure out a way to return to her proper place in time.

Revan was overcome by a powerful, irresistible urge to find out what had become of her old companions, save for T3-M4 and HK-47, as she knew history would not remember the droids that stood and fought beside her, but rather the organic people that had, and quickly typed in her name.

Her face fell when the screen showed RESTRICTED: COUNCIL APPROVAL REQUIRED.

Revan sat back and chuckled humorlessly. Even after nearly four thousand years, the Jedi haven't changed a bit, she thought bitterly. Yes, let us hide our dirty laundry where none may find them so the younglings and students who have our undying loyalty and trust cannot be led astray while we indoctrinate them.

Revan scoffed at the thought as a scowl formed on her face. Yeah, like that's gonna stop them from turning on you when and if they finally do find out they've been lied to for so long and just how much has been hidden from them, assuming they find out before they've been completely brainwashed, she thought.

Revan bent over the terminal and continued to search names, dates, locations, battles, anything even remotely relevant to her past, only to be continually denied access again and again and again, much to her increasing frustration.

"Rrrgh, dammit!" Revan finally growled as she slumped back in her chair and rubbed the bridge of her nose. "Looks like coming here was a waste of time… I suppose I should have expected this, given my past relationship with the Jedi and the Republic… of course they'd sweep me and anyone or anything associated with me under the rug, dismiss me and everything to do with me as nothing more than a myth or a legend, like I never truly existed… wonder who else got this treatment…"

"May I help you find something my dear?" an elderly female voice said from nearby.

Revan turned her head to find that an elderly female Jedi was standing nearby, a friendly smile on her face. Revan felt a smile of her own form as she properly turned to face the unsuspecting Jedi.

"Why, yes… there is something you can help me with…"

    Meanwhile…

Ahsoka Tano and her best friend, Barriss Offee, were currently making their way through the Jedi Archives, having been assigned to do archiving duty and helping the archivist, Jedi Master Jocasta Nu, with some organization projects that she had put off for some time, after the pair of them had disobeyed orders during a conflict with the Seperatist droid armies. The intent of the small punishment was to reinforce the importance of patience to the two Padawans, something about how a clear mind did get caught up in the moment.

Unfortunately, all it was teaching Ahsoka and Barriss was that the Jedi Archives were a labyrinth of information, data entries, ancient knowledge, and a horribly outdated filing system that no one had seen fit to update in a century at the very least. Moreover, it was proving very difficult to keep a clear mind after not only hearing the Senate Building had been attacked, but that the terrorist responsible had outplayed four members of the Jedi Council, including Yoda himself, and escaped. Ahsoka, for her part, hoped Senator Amidala was okay, as she was something like a big sister to Ahsoka… and there was the fact that she constantly saw her Master make goo-goo eyes at the Senator, never mind the fact that Jedi weren't supposed to form attachments.

On top of this, Barriss mentioned that there had been an unprecedented disturbance that had the Force going absolutely crazy, causing multiple accidents among those who were being trained in its use, as well as scaring virtually every single youngling in the temple into a tizzy, and the effects were still being felt not only by Barriss, but by virtually every Jedi that the two of them had seen entering the Archives. Except, for some reason, Ahsoka didn't feel any sort of disturbance, which struck Barriss as odd.

In short, it was next to impossible for the two Padawans to keep their focus on their assignment.

"Ugh, I hate this assignment," groaned Ahsoka in frustration as she typed on her datapad.

"Well, it's good to know that I'm not the only one who thinks this is some form of sadistic torture. There are entries here from millenia ago that look like they haven't been sorted at all," said Barriss as she moved to a nearby terminal and started typing in commands. "But, I can't say it's not all bad. For example, did you know that during the Dark Age, Jedi were able to use the Force to disable or even destroy droids?"

"Really?" said Ahsoka as she looked over at Barriss. "Why aren't we still using that, especially now? I mean, it'd certainly help against the Separatists' battle droids."

"Apparently using that power looked a little too similar to that lightning thing Count Dooku does, so its use was discontinued," Barriss said simply. "That aside, you know what I think the worst part of this punishment is? The hypocrisy. I mean, the Masters always choose reckless battle strategies and disobey orders all the time, and they're the ones we're supposed to be learning from. But, then when we Padawans do something similar, we get punished simply because we don't have enough rank to fight it," Barriss said before heaving a sigh. " I mean, take your Master for example. I can't even imagine all the rules Master Skywalker teaches you to break. He's infamous for disobeying orders."

"I know, right?!" exclaimed Ahsoka before she heaved a sigh. "And yet, for whatever reason, as long as he keeps winning battles, the Council is happy to keep giving him free passes. It's like he's their poster boy or something." Ahsoka let out an aggravated groan. "Look, I know this punishment is pretty mild, and I am grateful for all the things that Skyguy has taught me, but I just don't understand the inconsistencies. It's-"

Ahsoka stopped short as something pinged on her Jedi senses and her legs suddenly decided to give out, causing Barriss to run over to her in concern. "Ahsoka! Are you okay?" she asked.

After a moment, Ahsoka spoke as the feeling she had had passed. "I'm fine but… something's wrong. I think someone really dangerous is in the Jedi Temple," she said.

Barriss' eyes widened. "Can you sense where they are?" she asked.

Ahsoka closed her eyes again, only to open them again just as swiftly. "This way… they're close. I think they might be in the Archives," she said.

Barriss reached into her pocket and pulled out her comlink. "We should report this to the Council," she said.

"No, not yet," said Ahsoka, grabbing Barriss' hand. "The whole temple is on alert because of the Senate Building attack, and if I'm wrong, we'll get into a lot of trouble. We need to confirm this first. Plus, I doubt I'm the only Jedi who sensed this."

Barriss looked at Ahsoka in uncertainty, then glanced in the direction of the possible intruder, then back again. Finally, Barriss put away her comlink and drew her lightsaber. "All right. Lead the way, I've got your back," she said.

Ahsoka gave Barriss a grateful smile before drawing her twin sabers and beginning to move silently in the direction of the intruder. As the two Padawan made their way past towering stacks of information with bated breath, neither of them could help but feel their hearts begin to race as their grips on their lightsabers tightened. Nonetheless, they steeled themselves for whatever or whomever they might face.

As the two Padawans rounded one corner, Ahsoka saw what appeared to be someone in a Jedi robe standing over a terminal, however, Ahsoka's instincts told her that this person was not a Jedi, but rather an impostor. A moment later, Ahsoka saw that the impostor had hooked up a datapad to the terminal, and was downloading a large amount of data onto it. Lying near the intruder was something that caused a surge of anger to run through Ahsoka.

It was Master Jocasta Nu, apparently unconscious with her hand on a security terminal next to the terminal that the intruder was downloading information from. Ahsoka looked back at Barriss to see a face full of resolve that matched her own. Now, if ever, was the time to contact the masters and alert the Jedi more capable of dealing with this intruder. However, before Barriss could even reach for her communicator, a voice rang out from nearby.

"You two do know that I can sense you creeping about the Archives, yes?"

Ahsoka froze in place. There was something familiar about that voice, but she couldn't quite put her finger on it…

The intruder turned away from the terminal to face the two Padawan, revealing themselves to be a human woman that, if Ahsoka had to guess, was around her Master's age, as the two Padawan emerged from hiding to openly confront the intruder.

"If the two of you are worried about the archivist, don't be. She is merely asleep, and to be honest, she looked like she could use some rest," the intruder said as she began to walk towards the two Padawans.

"Who are you? What do you want?" demanded Barriss as her grip tightened on her lightsaber.

The intruder adopted an expression that suggested the solution was obvious. "My name is Revan. I am a Jedi, and I came here seeking information. Is it not obvious?" she said simply.

Ahsoka narrowed her eyes. "Except you're not actually a Jedi, are you?" she said. "You're the one who attacked the Senate Building, aren't you?"

Revan smiled. "Your instincts serve you well, Padawan. In truth, the Senate Building was an accident. It was not my intention to cause anyone any harm, and trust me when I say that if I really wanted to hurt anyone, there wouldn't be anyone left alive in that building," she said, leaving the Padawans little doubt that she meant it. "As for whether or not I am a Jedi… well, that would depend on who you asked… assuming they would even acknowledge my existence in the first place. However, I really did come here seeking information and answers to some questions I had, and I knew that I could find the information I sought and the answers to those questions here," she explained.

"We cannot allow you to escape with that information!" said Barriss as she and Ahsoka activated their lightsabers.

Revan sighed as she pulled the lightsaber hilt from her side. "You two really want to do this? Very well, I suppose I can entertain you. After all, there's still a little bit of time before the download finishes. Let's see what passes for a Padawan's lightsaber skills in this era," she said as she flipped the switch on her lightsaber, causing a violet blade to emerge from the hilt.

The three combatants stood still for a few moments, each side waiting for the other to make a move. Finally, Barriss darted toward the intruder and struck first, her attack blocked almost effortlessly by Revan.

And with that, the duel began.

    Jedi Temple-Security Center

Masters Yoda and Shaak Ti stood on opposite ends of a series of large displays showing the various teams of Jedi and their status as they searched through the Legislative District for the Senate Building bomber, but so far, they had turned up nothing.

"We've been searching for hours, and yet we have no sign of our mystery woman," said Shaak Ti. "I fear that the attacker may have already slipped through our net, perhaps even managed to get off-world before we could even get the blockade in place."

Yoda closed his eyes. "Escaped, the attacker has not. Closer than we realize, she is," the Jedi Master said.

Shaak Ti looked at the far older, wiser, and more powerful master. "You sense something, Master Yoda?"

Yoda nodded slowly, taking a deep breath and turning towards Shaak Ti. "Descended over the temple, a dark cloud has. In grave danger, Master Nu and Padawans Tano and Offee are," he said.

Master Ti quickly turned to a nearby clone officer. "Put the Temple on high alert, get a security team down to the Archives, and lock down all entrances and exits into the Temple. No one leaves until a member of the Council gives the all clear," she ordered.

"Right away, ma'am!" the clone said before he immediately turned to carry out his orders.

    Jedi Temple-Hangar Bay

Anakin pulled his speeder into the hanger bay, a look of clear frustration on his face, while Obi-Wan, who was similarly frustrated, had an exhausted look on his face.

"I told you asking around the Legislative District was a waste of time," Anakin said as he switched the speeder off. "If no one even knew the bomber was there until that massive disturbance in the Force or the bomb going off, then I doubt anyone saw anyone or anything suspicious in the area. While we've been running around like kath hounds being led with a bone, she's probably been holed up in a hideout somewhere planning her next attack."

"I understand your frustration, Anakin, but we mustn't rush to conclusions," said Obi-Wan as he and his former apprentice exited the speeder. "Perhaps one of the other teams has found someth-"

"Hold that thought, Master," Anakin said abruptly, holding up his robotic arm, a concerned look on his face as his eyes darted back and forth.

Obi-Wan frowned. "What is it?" he asked before he sensed the same thing Anakin had no doubt sensed.

"It's Ahsoka, she's fighting someone really powerful… and really dangerous!" Anakin said.

"I sense it too!" exclaimed Obi-Wan before the two men took off running, the Force augmenting their speed.

    Back In The Archives…

As she clashed lightsabers with her, Revan had to admit that this Togruta girl was very intriguing, on a number of levels.

While the Mirialan Padawan had been rendered out of action after Revan had knocked her lightsaber out of her hands and put her to sleep with the Force, she could sense there was something more to this Togruta girl. For one thing, if anything about how she fought was anything to go by, whoever her master or masters were, they were rather unorthodox in their teaching methods, and they weren't above fighting dirty when the occasion called for it, but that wasn't what intrigued Revan.

It was as if her life force belonged to a being who was the Light Side of the Force incarnate, which should have meant that she was stronger than most when it came to using Force abilities aligned with the Light Side and perhaps even powers aligned with neither the light nor the dark. And yet, Revan could feel the Dark Side trying to tempt her into using its power. Although this could be dismissed as the biology of a teenager or perhaps not having been given sufficient training to control her emotions, Revan sensed there was something more to it. Upon closer, subtle, probing, it seemed as though she had been literally poisoned by the Dark Side itself… something that Revan had experience with herself. Although, in the case of this Togruta girl, the poisoning seemed much more potent.

Locking blades with the Togruta teen, Revan asked, "Tell me… do the names 'Vitiate' or 'Tenebrae,' mean anything to you?"

A confused look appeared on the Togruta teen's face. "Who?" she asked.

Revan sighed. "I'll take that as a no… which means you were poisoned by someone or something else…" she muttered.

The teenager said nothing as she broke the blade lock and slashed at Revan, who easily blocked her attacks. "You attacked the Senate Building and were caught stealing data from the Jedi Archives! Why?"

"First off, the Senate Building was an accident, but I suppose all the HoloNet has told you is that a terrorist attacked," said Revan as she struck at the Togruta teen, who blocked her attacks. "Like I said before, if I wanted to harm anyone, there wouldn't be any survivors. Moreover, the bomb would be much more destructive, and that's if I didn't decide to do something more grand and deadly instead, shock and awe, as they say. As for your accusation of stealing data from the Archives, one cannot steal something that already belongs to them. Speaking of which…" Revan said as the download timer on the terminal and the datapad finished. "...it seems that playtime has concluded. But, first…"

Revan called upon the Force to send the Togruta girl flying through the air, causing her to hit her back in such a way that she dropped her lightsabers, which deactivated as they slipped from her hands.

Revan approached the Togruta teenager, swatting aside a Force Push as she drew closer and picked the girl up by the neck. Naturally, the girl struggled to free herself from Revan's grasp as she brought her hand up to the teenager's face.

"I sense something… more… in you, Padawan," Revan said as she called upon the Force. "Let's see what exactly that is."

The Togruta girl stopped struggling to free herself from Revan's grasp and instead clutched her head in pain. "Nrrgh-wha-what are you doing to me? F-fingers-in my skull-"

"Shhhhh… stop struggling," Revan said, her voice a mesmerizing buzz. "Let me follow the current… deep… deeper to its source…"

"Nrrgh, stop! Let me go!" the Togruta cried.

"Ah, there it is… the planet Mortis… can't say it's a planet I'm familiar with, and I've been around the galaxy quite a bit…" murmured Revan. "But… how curious… what did this Father entity want with your master…? Ah, a prophecy… interesting… hmm, strange… this Fanged God, this Son… he seems oddly familiar to me, but I've not seen the likes of him before… but it was he who poisoned and corrupted you with the Dark Side…"

"Hmm? What's this…?" Revan murmured, sounding slightly confused. "There's a spot in your memories that shows only the coldness and emptiness of death… and then your memories are as bright and vibrant as ever they were… curious… very curious…"

Before Revan could delve any deeper, however, she sensed the presence of a number of Jedi heading towards the archives. Time was officially up. Revan discarded the Togruta teenager onto the ground. No doubt she was feeling as weak and powerless as a newborn.

"I must say, you very much intrigue me, Ahsoka Tano," Revan said as she held out her hands, causing Ahsoka's lightsabers, Barriss' lightsaber, Master Nu's lightsaber, and the datapad that was hooked up to the terminal flew into Revan's open hands, while Master Nu and Barriss themselves were lifted into the air and moved a fair distance away from the terminal the datapad had been hooked up to. "And whenever something intrigues me, I do everything in my power to learn all I can about it. I can assure you that not only will I be watching your career with great interest, but that we will meet again."

"That said, before we part ways for the time being, allow me to impart some, for all intents and purposes, ancient wisdom upon you," said Revan as she approached the downed Togruta teen and crouched down to be face to face with her.

"Be careful what you believe in, and who you listen to. Nothing and no one is perfect or infallible, not your masters, and certainly not the Jedi Council. Even they have made more mistakes than they will ever admit. And even the wisest of men and the greatest of heroes can make unintelligent decisions and fall to darkness."

Judging from the look on her face, Revan knew that the Togruta could sense the double meaning of what she'd said and the fact that her words had come from somewhere deeper. That is, before Revan waved her hand in front of the Togruta's face and put her to sleep before placing the four lightsabers beside her.

Revan stood up and returned to the terminal she had been downloading information from, and used the Force to cause the terminal to begin to overload, ensuring there would be no trace of the inquiries on the data she had been searching for.

    A Few Moments Later…

Anakin burst into the Jedi Archives, lightsaber hilt in his hand, ready for a fight, with Obi-Wan and a number of Temple Guards, clones, and other Jedi right behind him, only to find that the intruder was nowhere in sight. Anakin quickly ran towards where he sensed his Padawan's presence and slid on his knees to stop in front of Ahsoka.

"Ahsoka, Ahsoka, are you all right?" asked Anakin, worry and fear evident in his voice.

Ahsoka groggily opened her eyes. "Master…?" she said weakly before falling once more into slumber.

Anakin was just about to shout at those present to get a medical team immediately when a small explosion went off nearby, causing a few of those present to jump in surprise and cause a few clones to fire a couple of blaster bolts in that direction, only to realize that the explosion had come from a terminal nearby that seemed to have been rigged to blow.

Anakin's cybernetic hand clenched as anger broiled in him. Whoever this…woman… was, she was slowly pissing him off more and more. First, she hurt his wife Padmè, then she hurts his fellow Jedi, one of them being his Padawan.

The Council would no doubt want this terrorist brought in alive. But, if Anakin caught up to her first, and it was just the two of them, then as far as he was concerned, the Council could make do with her head.

    Meanwhile…

Chancellor Palpatine placed his hand on a hidden scanner that revealed a keypad, into which he punched in a memorized sequence that opened a concealed door into a dark chamber that had deep red lighting. Within this chamber were a number of things, such as materials for Sith Alchemy and a datapad containing notes of said alchemical experiments, a terminal that had the insignia of the ancient Sith Empire, a workbench that had a pair of mechanisms designed to be worn under the sleeves of his attire that were designed to deploy his lightsabers, a large holocommunicator built into the center of the room, and a hanger that had a dark robe on it.

As Palpatine approached the robe, his eyes turned a sinister shade of gold and red and his appearance began to turn more decrepit and withered. Once he had reached and put on the robe, the transformation was complete. Once again, Sheev Palpatine, beloved Supreme Chancellor of the Republic, good man, and honest politician, had once again shed his skin like the snake he was and become the enigmatic and nefarious Dark Lord of the Sith, Darth Sidious.

Sidious typed in a command on a terminal near his holocommunicator and stepped onto the device. After a moment, the life-sized hologram of an old gentleman appeared before him, kneeling.

"What is thy bidding, Master?" the hologram of Count Dooku, aka Darth Tyranus, asked.

"Rise, Lord Tyranus," said Sidious. "There has been a great disturbance in the Force. I trust you have felt it?"

"Yes, Lord Sidious… I haven't felt anything like it, even during my time as a Jedi," Dooku replied. "Do we know what caused it?"

"To be honest, I have never felt a disturbance this intense before myself," revealed Sidious. "However, it is not what caused it, but rather, who caused it. Moments after this disturbance, a masked woman appeared in my office rather… violently. I have every reason to believe that she is the cause of this disturbance, and I want you to find out everything you can about her. Where she comes from, and what she wants, I do not know. But, I very much intend to find out."

Sidious typed on the console out of Dooku's view. "I am sending you all the information I currently have on this woman. Any other information the Republic uncovers on this woman will be quietly sent to you. I want you to do as much research as possible on her. Cross-reference everything we have with my personal archives. There is something familiar about her, and I want to know what it is. This is your highest priority. See to nothing else until this is done."

"As you command, my master," said Dooku. "However, in the meantime, what of the war?"

Sidious paused and thought for a moment. "Have Grievous and Ventress take over any operations for the Separatists that you were to oversee for the time being. I trust they won't try to kill each other for long enough for you to complete this task," Sidious said. "The war will continue as planned for the time being. I will inform you of any adjustments that need to be made if any at all."

"As you wish, Master. I will report back when I have found something of note," said Dooku as his hologram vanished.

Sidious sat in the darkness of his private chambers. He knew his old master, Darth Plagueis, had experienced backlash from the Force during his own experiments to create life using the Force among other things. He could easily recall how panicked his master had been when he'd caught wind of Skywalker and the Jedi mumbo-jumbo about him destroying the Sith and bringing balance to the Force. Could the sudden appearance of this masked woman be something similar?

Sidious shook his head. No, he had come too far with his plans, spent too much time poisoning the Republic and crafting his little Jedi trap, for all of it to be all for naught. He would learn all he could about this woman, and if she posed a significant threat to his plans, she would meet the same fate as all the other threats to his plans that had cropped up over the years.

Sidious smiled as shadows swirled around him. There was nothing and no one that could prevent him from destroying the diseased corpse of the Republic and building his Empire.

Once more the Sith would rule the galaxy… and then the galaxy would have the peace it so desperately craved.

And that's a bingo! Well, I don't really have much else to say other than if you liked what you saw here, be sure to share your thoughts and join us next time as Revan squares off against the Jedi! See you then!

    Chapter Three: Escape From Coruscant

Revan, now clad in her dark robes, armor, and mask once again thanks to her mastery of the art of the quick-change, her Personal Inventory Device, and the power of Force Camouflage, ducked into an alleyway and slid down the wall and closed her eyes, allowing herself to take a moment and rest. She had managed to escape the Jedi Temple through the ventilation system, having managed to overload the energy field over the vent cover leading outside the Temple with a blast of Force Lightning before making her escape.

However, despite having achieved ultimate mastery of both the Light and Dark Sides of the Force, something that many perceived to have granted her truly infinite power and abilities that many considered unnatural, even by the Sith and Dark Jedi's standards, which it did to a certain extent it very much did, even the Lord of Revenge had her limits, and the constant use of her Force abilities in her efforts to avoid detection by the Jedi was starting to make her feel completely exhausted.

That said, she couldn't rest here for very long. Revan had no doubt that the Jedi were hot on her heels, and they were more than likely going to attack her on sight. She needed to get off of Coruscant, and in order to do that, she needed a ship. Problem with that was the entire planet most likely thought of her as a terrorist who had bombed a politician's office, and as such, the local ship dealers were not very likely to sell her anything, at least not without tipping off local security or the Jedi to her location or placing a tracker on the ship.

No, the only solution was to commandeer a ship, but breaking into a nearby hanger and taking a ship would likely alert the Jedi, local security, and quite possibly the Republic military, which would be a much bigger headache than she already had to deal with. What she needed was some sort of discrete method of commandeering a ship.

However, before Revan could properly think, a noise caught her attention, prompting the former Dark Lord to realize that she had foolishly let her guard down and allowed herself to be snuck up on by what she sensed were common street thugs. A Rodian and Bith blocked the exit to the alley while a human blocked the path farther in.

"Well, lookie what we got here, boys!" the human said with a smirk. "A poor lost soul! What do you guys think, should we help her out?"

"Yeah, Garik, this lady does look kinda lost," the Rodian said in Huttese. "I guess we could help her… find her way."

Revan sighed as she lowered her head. These men were nothing more than common thugs, and not worth her time overall, but she clearly wasn't getting out of this without there being trouble. Still, that didn't mean she couldn't at least give them a chance to be smart and walk away before it was too late for them.

Time to take a page out of Calo Nord's playbook, thought Revan before she spoke aloud. "Go away," she said, irritation in her augmented voice.

The thugs laughed at Revan's statement. "This chick thinks she's pretty funny, doesn't she, Garik?" the Bith said.

"Certainly seems that way," said Garik before he and his allies pulled their blasters. "All right, let's cut to the chase. Credits, now!"

    "One," said Revan.

The Bith and the Rodian looked at Garik in confusion. "One? What's she mean by one?" asked the Rodian.

Before Garik could reply, Revan spoke again. "Two," she said.

"What's she saying?!" the Bith demanded in anger. "One? Two? Is she trying to make fun of us?!"

Garik shook himself from his confusion, marched up to Revan, and put his blaster pistol against the side of her head. "Are you deaf or somethin' lady?! I said credits, now!"

"Three," said Revan as she stood up, giving her would-be muggers a clear view of her mask, armor, and the two lightsaber hilts hanging from her side, which promptly caused those present to turn several shades green.

"She's a Jedi!" Garik cried before he tried to shoot Revan square in the face, only to find himself frozen in place, unable to move any part of his body, save for his eyes and mouth. "What the-what is this? Guys, shoot her!"

"I-I'm trying! Can't move!" the Rodian said in Huttese, also finding himself immobilized.

"Wha-what is going on?!" the Bith said in a mixture of rage and confusion, likewise immobilized as his eyes swiveled around in a panic, only for his horror to increase dramatically as the hand that was holding his blaster was slowly moving of its own accord… and that it was bringing the business end of his pistol towards the side of his rather large cranium.

The Bith tried to beg for mercy, but his cries fell on deaf ears as he was forced to pull the trigger, prompting the Rodian and human's eyes to widen in shock as their partner's body fell to the ground, a cauterized hole in the side of his head.

Revan then turned her gaze to the Rodian, whose arm also began to bring his blaster to the side of his head as he begged for forgiveness and tried to make excuses up to his last breath, but in the end, he met the same fate as his Bith companion.

"Wait! Please, Jedi! Don't do this!" Garik begged as his blaster slowly made its way towards his head. "I-I'll do anything you want! I-I'll go home and rethink my life! I'll turn my back on crime! I'll become an honest man! I'll give you everything I own!"

Just as the business end of the blaster reached the side of his head, Garik squeezed his eyes shut and screamed out, "I have a ship!"

A few moments passed by in silence so tense that a lightsaber or vibroblade would have had trouble cutting it. The next thing Garik knew, he was being yanked through the air directly into the crushing grip of Revan, who held him in the air by his throat.

"Would you care to repeat that?" asked Revan, her augmented voice suggesting it would be very unwise to lie to her.

"I-I have a ship! It's not much, but it's-ack!-functional!" choked out Garik.

Although the human couldn't see it, a small smile formed on Revan's face.

    Meanwhile, At The Jedi Archives…

Several Jedi stood around the destroyed remains of the terminal that the intruder had been using, which had been cordoned off as a crime scene as several temple guards and Clone Troopers moved around the ruined terminal, trying to salvage what they could from it, while Anakin, Obi-Wan, Yoda, Shaak Ti, and Jedi Masters Aayla Secura, Kit Fisto, Adi Gallia, and Plo Koon watched security footage of the intruder's break-in and contemplated their next move.

Obi-Wan sighed and shook his head. This day was becoming far more complicated than he would like. Not only did they have two crime scenes caused by the same culprit, but his former Padawan was in a bad mood, which meant that Anakin was highly likely to do something foolish, reckless, or some mixture of the two.

After a few moments of silence, Anakin spoke. "Why did the intruder destroy this terminal? For that matter, how did she even get into the Temple?" he asked.

Adi was the one who answered Anakin. "Looks like she disguised herself in a Jedi Robe and used some sort of mind trick to get past the entrance guard, and was able to traverse the Temple undetected," she said.

Anakin was incredulous. "Are you kidding me? She just dressed up as a Jedi and went completely undetected? How did no one realize she wasn't a Jedi?"

"Because deceived by her appearance, they were," said Yoda. "Think twice, no one would, of what appeared to be a fellow Jedi going about their business."

"As for how no one sensed there was an intruder in the Temple, I think it's safe to say she has an ability that allows her to mask her presence in the Force, and given her penchant for disguises, that could prove to be trouble," said Obi-Wan.

"Moving on, once she was in the Archives, it seems she tried to access some restricted information, but she was able to use Master Nu's biometrics to bypass the block and-huh… that's interesting…" Adi continued before trailing off.

    "What? What's interesting?" asked Anakin.

"Well, apart from the fact that she was the first Jedi to sense the intruder's presence when the intruder was all but invisible to the entire Temple, it seems that the intruder took an interest in your Padawan, Skywalker," said Adi. "Judging from the footage, after defeating her, the intruder used the Force to probe Padawan Tano's mind for something before she fled. Do you know of anything that your Padawan might know that would be of interest to anyone?"

"No, not off the top of my head," Anakin said honestly.

Obi-Wan hummed thoughtfully. "Perhaps our new friend sensed what had happened to Ahsoka during our, ah… detour to Mortis," he theorized.

Anakin caught on immediately. "You think she sensed the Daughter's power within Ahsoka," he said.

Plo Koon sighed. "While I have sensed that my old apprentice has indeed become far more powerful in the Light Side of the Force than any Jedi that I can recall, I am still not convinced that the events that supposedly transpired on this Mortis world are anything more than a powerful vision or dream from the Force," he said. "After all, neither Sith nor Jedi can restore life to a body once its spirit has become one with the Force."

Anakin and Obi-Wan glanced at each other. When they and Ahsoka had told the Council about what had happened on Mortis, while the Council did believe their story to a certain degree, they did not think it actually happened, but instead believed that the events of Mortis was instead a dream or a very powerful vision from the Force.

"Moving on," said Kit Fisto. "Do we know if the intruder deleted anything from the archives? Perhaps she was trying to conceal something she didn't want us to see."

Aayla shook her head. "No, it does not appear so. We've done a complete scan of the archive's base code and compared it to the data scan done two days ago. It's a complete match, and there's no indication of any code being tampered with or removed on any level," she said.

"Then, we can only conclude that she came here to gather information. But, that doesn't explain why she destroyed this terminal before leaving," said Shaak Ti.

"I believe I can answer that for you, general," a clone engineer said as he approached the gathered Jedi.

"What have you found, trooper?" asked Plo.

"Some very interesting things. From what we've found by examining the remains of the terminal, it seems the blast of energy caused by the terminal's detonation caused some minor damage to the surrounding systems, so to protect its information, the archives went into some kind of self-preservation state to secure all high-value data, meaning that the system prioritized its most valuable processes and dumped any unnecessary data so it could do a quick and immediate backup to other servers. In short, all recent search history and data inquiries for the past several days have been deleted," explained the clone.

"Meaning there's no way of knowing what the intruder called up or copied," Anakin concluded.

"Unfortunately yes, sir," the clone said.

"Well, that's one mystery solved," said Shaak Ti. "So, now what's the plan?"

"Close, the intruder is," said Yoda as he turned towards the other Jedi. "Pursue her now, we must, before the trail grows cold."

"I might be able to help you there as well, generals," the clone engineer said as he pressed his fingers to his ear piece. "It seems local security has found two dead bodies in an alleyway a few blocks from here, and several eyewitnesses say they saw a dark cloaked figure enter the same alley."

"Then act quickly, we must, before the intruder slips away again," said Yoda. "Skywalker, Kenobi, go now. Coordinate your efforts and keep track of your progress, we shall."

"I've also contacted Quinlan Vos and informed him of the situation. I'll have him meet you at the crime scene," said Plo Koon.

"Cautious, you must be," Yoda warned Obi-Wan and Anakin. "Powerful and cunning, our enemy is. Knows how our systems work, how the Jedi operate, she does. Underestimate her, do not. Now go, and may the Force be with you."

Obi-Wan and Anakin bowed respectfully to the head of the Jedi Council before they quickly departed for the temple hanger.

    Warehouse District-Warehouse 1138421

Revan and Garik, after making their way through several alleyways and down several floors into the heart of Coruscant's Mid-District, stood in front of a large warehouse surrounded by a number of abandoned buildings.

"Thi-this is the place," Garik said, an obvious nervousness in his voice.

Revan looked up and down at the building. From what Garik had told her, he was part of a small spice smuggling operation, and they were about to make a shipment to someone named Hondo, a shipment that Revan had decided that she would relieve the smugglers of, in addition to their ship and their lives if necessary.

"How many more are inside? And don't try to lie to me. I can clearly sense other sentients inside the building," she said, a hint of menace in her voice.

"I-including the two you killed back there? There's about ten or eleven of us, including the boss. We're a relatively small crew," Garik said nervously.

Revan stared at the thug intently. "I believe you. Now, knock," she instructed.

Garik nodded and knocked on the door a couple times. A small eye hole in the door opened, revealing an Ithorian on the other side.

"About time you showed up," the Ithorian said in his native language. "Get in here, the boss is looking for you."

The minute the door opened, Revan grabbed the Ithorian and smashed his head against the permacrete in a specific spot that shattered his skull and sent shards of bone into his brain, killing the alien. Revan then turned her attention to Garik. "If you try to run and alert the authorities, you will die. You are to stay behind me, stay out of sight, and not get shot," she commanded.

Garik nodded quickly, knowing that this clearly insane Jedi could easily make good on her threats.

Revan entered the warehouse and took a look around, her mask providing information on the criminals inside as they went about their business, as well as the small, beat-up cargo freighter that sat in the middle of the hanger. As she drew closer, a Weequay nudged a human male who was more heavily armed than the rest of the thugs, who turned to face Revan.

"What the-?" the human, clearly the boss, said as he pulled out his blaster. "How'd you get in here?!"

"That does not concern you," said Revan. "That aside, I am commandeering this shipment and the ship that will be carrying it, and I would advise you not to get in my way."

The human boss laughed as the rest of his men drew their weapons and aimed them at Revan. "And I'd advise you to turn around and get outta here," he said.

Revan sighed as she reached for one of the lightsaber hilts on her belt. "You know, part of me had hoped we'd be able to settle this diplomatically, but it seems we'll just have to partake in some… aggressive negotiations…"

    ???

Ahsoka, onboard what seemed to be a large station of some kind once again, found herself talking to a slender young woman, a Mandalorian that had entered her early or mid-twenties by the look of her, with dark hair that had dark purple highlights, clad in a suit of dark armor that had a cape behind her and what seemed to be three lightsaber hilts, one of which had a peculiar design that was almost blaster-like in appearance, while the other seemed different in some other way, hanging from her belt, and a very ordinate-looking Mandalorian helmet under her arm.

"How are things with the Wren Clan, Sabine?" Ahsoka asked.

The Mandalorian, Sabine Wren, laughed. "They keep asking me for stories about my glorious adventures with the 'new guardians of the galaxy.' I swear, ever since I joined the Order and built the Duchess for Lord Revan's flagship, my clan and those who have sworn fealty to it have practically worshiped the ground I walk on, even before I became Mand'alore the Liberator…" she said before a sad look crossed her face. "I just wish Ezra was still here with me… then everything would be perfect."

"Well… that's actually the reason I wanted to talk with you," said Ahsoka. "I think I've found a lead on Ezra's whereabouts. And I was wondering if you'd like to come with me to investigate."

    Jedi Temple-Medical Bay

Ahsoka awoke with a gasp, and the intense dream she had just experienced slowly drifted away, despite her best attempts to grasp it so that she could better understand what it was the Force was trying to tell her. Admittedly, she was never any good at that part of her training with the Force.

"Are you alright, Ahsoka?" a familiar voice asked from nearby. "You looked like you were having a bad dream."

Ahsoka turned to face the source of the familiar voice to find Barriss looking at her with concern. "Barriss?" Ahsoka asked, quickly realizing that she and Barriss had a two-person room in the temple's medical wing. "What happened?" she asked her best friend.

"Well, what's the last thing you remember?" asked Barriss.

"I remember… we fought the intruder, and she beat us-" Ahsoka said.

"Somehow, I think a more applicable term would be 'curb-stomped,' if I understand the phrase right," said Barriss, a look of frustration and guilt on her face. "Anything else?"

Ahsoka glanced up, feeling a similar guilt and frustration to her friend. "Well… you got knocked out first… then she disarmed me and… used the Force to probe my mind…"

"What in the world would prompt the intruder to do that?" Barriss asked, confused.

"I don't know, but she seemed interested in that… dream… I had about Mortis…" said Ahsoka.

"The one where you got poisoned with the Dark Side, died, and were brought back to life with the life energy of a Light Side deity, right?" asked Barriss.

"Yeah… what else was there…" Ahsoka said. "When I accused her of stealing information from the archives, she said 'one cannot steal what already belongs to them.' And the weird thing is… it didn't feel like she was lying."

Barriss hummed thoughtfully. "Well, from what I've heard, most of the Jedi in the temple couldn't sense her presence until it was too late, so I think it would be fairly safe to assume that talent extends to her ability to lie," she said.

"Yeah… I guess you might be right…" said Ahsoka. However, in truth, the Togruta was not entirely convinced. Something about this whole thing felt wrong somehow. It felt like she only held a few small pieces of a massive puzzle, and there was something in her mind that was urging her to find the rest.

Before the two Padawans could continue their discussion, however, the door into their room opened with a hiss, and through it came Master Yoda, walking slowly with his cane.

"Master Yoda," the two Padawans said as they instinctively began to get up to bow in respect, however Yoda gestured for them to remain seated.

"Please. Sit," Yoda said as he climbed up onto the counter across from the two Padawans. "How feel you two?"

"The medical droid told me that Ahsoka and I only had minor injuries, nothing serious or broken," said Barriss.

"Good. Good," said Yoda. "Hearing you are well, brings warm feelings to my heart. Very brave, it was, to protect the Jedi Archives. But, now, questions, I have for you two. Know more about the attacker, we must."

The two Padawans glanced at each other before Ahsoka spoke.

"She said… her name was Revan."

    Coruscant-Upper Streets

While the storm that had been raging overhead had long since died down, the dark clouds overhead did an adequate job of reflecting the current mood of Anakin. After all, this was his third crime scene caused by the same culprit today, and it was becoming very tiresome and increasingly irritating.

The Jedi and a squad of Clone Troopers stood over two partially open body bags, one containing the body of a Rodian, while the other held the body of a Bith, both bodies having burn marks on their heads.

"Looks like blaster fire, point-blank range. From the looks of things, this might not be our suspect," a Clone Trooper said.

"I wouldn't be so sure about that, trooper," said Anakin as he looked at the bodies. "What kind of common alley fight ends with two dead bodies in almost the exact same spot with wounds on the sides of their heads from point-blank blaster fire? No, I think something else killed these guys."

"You've caught an unusual scent, as per usual, my apprentice," said Obi-Wan as he entered the alley from the street. "I just spoke with some witnesses. According to them, a dark robed figure entered the alley, followed by the Rodian and Bith shortly afterward. A few moments later, they heard screaming and yelling, followed by blaster fire, at which point they contacted local security."

"Combine that with surveillance footage taken from a nearby store's security camera," Obi-Wan continued as he held up a hologram of a familiar hooded figure entering the alleyway. "And I'd say we have our suspect."

Anakin's mechanical fist tightened subtly as he looked at the hologram. "Too bad she didn't leave us a trail to follow," he said.

"I believe I can help with that, Skywalker!" a loud and enthusiastic voice said from nearby, causing Anakin and Obi-Wan to turn towards the source of the voice to find Quinlan Vos heading toward them.

"Kenobi! Long time no see!" Vos said, giving Obi-Wan a friendly punch on the arm.

Obi-Wan sighed and rubbed his arm. "Yes, good to see you too, Vos," he said.

Anakin smiled slightly and chuckled at the exchange before getting serious again. "We really need your help with this one, Vos. We've got a dangerous target on the loose and she's getting away," he said.

"So I hear," said Vos as he moved over the two bodies, knelt down, placed his palm on the pavement, closing his eyes as he concentrated. After a few moments, he opened his eyes. "I got her…and…" he said as he stood up. "She's not alone. She's got a man with her."

"There's been no report of this woman having a partner," said Obi-Wan.

"Then perhaps the other person is a hostage. Either way, two bodies to track are better than one," said Anakin. "Lead the way, Vos."

Coruscant Lower Levels- A Short Time Later

Vos, Anakin, and Obi-Wan made their way quickly down several back alleys, taking twists and turns seemingly at random through the maze-like section of the district. Eventually, the three Jedi came to a halt as Vos knelt down and closed his eyes. Obi-Wan was thankful for the small rest, it seemed he had not run this continually for quite a while. He made a note to get back to general exercise when he had the chance. War kept one fit and in shape for the most part, but it didn't always cover everything.

Obi-Wan soon realized that Vos was taking a lot longer than the last time he had when he had first started tracking their target. "Is everything alright?" he asked.

Vos did not respond for a moment but finally said. "It's strange...the closer we get to this woman...the harder it is for me to track her…" he said.

"That sounds very similar to the issues we've been having," said Anakin. "Even when she was going through the temple and was surrounded by Jedi, she was practically invisible to us."

"Indeed. It seems she has a way to mask her presence in the Force, making her quite the dangerous adversary for us. We should proceed with caution if you believe we are close," said Obi-Wan.

Vos stood up and nodded at Kenobi before running forward again.

    Meanwhile…

Revan could not help but curse the luck she had been having today. While dispatching the smugglers had been laughably easy, it turned out that the freighter's hyperdrive had taken a bit of damage, and was in desperate need of repairs… and Revan had killed the mechanic.

So, while Garik finished loading up the spice for delivery to this Hondo person, Revan worked on patching up the freighter's hyperdrive. Unfortunately, while she had once been skilled enough to construct an unsurpassable assassin droid with a box of scraps, the Dantooine Jedi Council's questionable choice to destroy her original identity with the Force and remold her into Jade Vaner, Republic Soldier extraordinaire, had done some considerable damage to her skills. As a result, while Revan's repair job was passable, it was something of a hack job.

In all honesty, it really made her miss T3…

"All right, she's all loaded!" Garik called from outside the ship.

Revan made her way out of the cramped section of the ship and made her way towards where Garik stood in front of a semi-organized stack of crates filled to the brim with spice. In all honesty, while Revan still had a small fortune in credits, she had absolutely no idea how much a halfway decent ship was going for in this era. For that matter, Revan didn't even know what the exchange rates of spice were on the black market, or even what the quality of the spice was.

"Say, Garik," said Revan. "How much do you estimate all this spice is worth?"

"I… honestly don't know," Garik admitted. "I think the boss said three hundred thousand credits for the lot."

Revan smirked underneath her mask. That amount would be more than sufficient enough to buy a decent ship and keep her identity hidden. A decent bargaining chip for where she was likely to end up, unless of course she had to get violent again.

"Good. Very good," said Revan. "Go warm the ship up, pick a deity, and pray to them that the hyperdrive doesn't kill us both. I had to shut down the main reactor in order to patch up the hyperdrive, so it will take some time for the ship to be ready to fly. Let me know immediately if-"

Revan stopped short as something pinged on her Jedi senses, causing Garik to look at her in confusion. "Let you know immediately if…?" he said, confused.

Revan growled in frustration. "Just get the ship ready to fly. We might need a quick exit," she said as she marched over to the hangar bay door controls and quickly got to work opening them while Garik headed for the cockpit of the ship.

All right, then. Let's see what passes for a proper Jedi in this era… thought Revan as she checked over her gear and began to make preparations for the confrontation that was fast approaching.

    A Few Moments Later…

Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Vos entered the warehouse and stopped dead in their tracks, finding the ground littered with the bodies of what appeared to be smugglers of some sort, just as a voice rang out from nearby.

"Hello there, master Jedi! And welcome!" said the hooded figure that the Jedi and Republic had been pursuing so doggedly for most of the day, who was standing on top of a large stack of containers and canisters reaching about fifteen to twenty feet in height. "Sorry about the mess, but you came by so quickly I haven't had time to clean up."

"We do apologize for dropping by unannounced," said Obi-Wan. "We'll be sure to call ahead next time."

Revan couldn't help but smirk beneath her mask at the bearded Master's snarky response. Could it be? Had the pseudo-pacifists known as the Jedi Order actually learned not to shove so many sticks up their asses?

"Surrender, terrorist!" snarled Vos as he activated his bright green lightsaber. "You have nowhere to run, and the full might of the Jedi Order and the Republic is about to come crashing down around you!"

"And I promise you," said Anakin as he activated his own blue lightsaber. "We're gonna make you pay for all the people you've hurt today."

Revan frowned beneath her mask. And just like that, the stick goes right back in, she thought bitterly.

"I'm afraid I have to agree with my friend and apprentice on this one," Obi-Wan said as he too activated his blue lightsaber. "You are about to be completely surrounded. If you come quietly, I promise no harm will come to you."

Revan said nothing for a moment before she finally spoke up again. "I must admit, I am sorely tempted to accept that offer. But, first and foremost, it hardly seems fair to agree to something like that without knowing who I'm dealing with," she said.

"Fair enough," said Obi-Wan. "My name is Obi-Wan Kenobi. This is my apprentice, Anakin Skywalker-" Obi-Wan continued, indicating Anakin, who nodded curtly. "-and Quinlan Vos, who is helping us with our investigation." Obi-Wan finished, indicating Vos, who was looking as though he was getting increasingly impatient.

"A pleasure to make your acquaintance, Master Kenobi," Revan said with a respectful bow, something that took Anakin and Obi-Wan by surprise, having not expected such respect from their adversary. "My name is Revan-"

"Arrgh, she's just stalling for time, and I don't intend on finding out for what!" bellowed Vos as he leapt at Revan, his lightsaber poised to strike, ignoring Obi-Wan's call for him to stop.

Without so much as batting a concealed eye, Revan grabbed hold of Vos with the Force and slammed him into the edge of an overhead walkway, knocking the tracker out cold for the time being.

"Protip: the high ground always beats reckless idiots with a lightsaber, no matter how powerful they think they are," said Revan as she looked back at Obi-Wan and Anakin.

"I'll make a note of that," said Obi-Wan.

"Good. However… I do regret that it has come to this. I really was enjoying our conversation Master Kenobi," said Revan as she jumped down from her stack of crates, one of her lightsabers flying into her hands as she landed firmly on her feet, a crimson blade emerging from the hilt.

As the three combatants stood facing each other, Revan quickly analyzed the lightsaber combat starting stances that the two Jedi had taken.

Hmm, so the boy is a Djem So stylist. Appropriate, considering the immense if unstable power I sense coming from him, but it lacks mobility, thought Revan as she observed Anakin before she turned her attention to Obi-Wan. And his Master is a Soresu stylist, so no catching him off guard or easy tricks… this should be interesting, even if it doesn't pose much of a challenge.

Almost as soon as Revan had finished analyzing her opponents, Anakin made the first strike, and was blocked by Revan's lightsaber before being shoved away with the Force.

Back and forth, two blades of blue clashed with the single blade of red. As the fight continued to progress, Obi-Wan couldn't help but be impressed by Revan's swordsmanship, her raw power, pure speed and overall finesse were proving to be quite the hurdle for both him and Anakin to overcome, all three of the calculating and experience fighters absolutely refusing to give no ground.

A loud yell suddenly cut through the air, forcing Revan to turn around and pull her second lightsaber into her hand to block a surprise attack from a recently awoken Quinlan Vos, before kicking the Jedi in the stomach, sending him backwards.

As the three Jedi began to encircle Revan, the former Dark Lord of the Sith closed her eyes and reached out with her mind to check on Garik's progress, and found that the ship was just about ready to take off. The time for playing around and holding back was over. Now, it was time to end this fight decisively.

Revan's eyes flew open, and a mighty wave surged out from her, cracking the ground beneath her feet and sending the three Jedi stumbling back before Vos tried to charge Revan again, but before he could make it even halfway to her, Revan unleashed a tremendous blast of Force Lightning that actually managed to overload Vos' lightsaber, causing it to detonate and mangle his hand.

The pain that Quinlan Vos felt as lightning poured into him was unlike anything he had ever felt before. His skin instantly started to as he cried out in sheer agony, lightning arcing out of his body as Revan used the lightning to slam Vos into various walls before discarding him like trash while Anakin and Obi-Wan, who were frozen like deer caught in a speeder's headlights, as they could now fully sense Revan.

From Obi-Wan's perspective, it was like he was staring at the beating heart of the Force itself. There could be no doubt about it. Revan wasn't simply powerful. She was power. And the thought that Anakin could become this powerful… actually scared him to the point that he couldn't help but freeze with fear.

A moment later, Obi-Wan realized that it wasn't fear that was holding him in place. He actually was being held in place by some sort of stasis field, as was Anakin, save for his cybernetic arm, which was currently trying to grab hold of something with the Force to no avail.

Yoda tightly gripped his walking stick. While he had been skeptical at first as to the identity of the Temple intruder when Padawan Tano had given her testimony about what had happened in the Archives, the massive surge of power within the Force had left little doubt about what they were dealing with.

As impossible as it may have seemed, the greatest hero and the worst villain in the history of the galaxy had somehow returned from the netherworld of the Force, and now, even if the Republic triumphed over the Separatists, the fate of the galaxy would remain in the balance as long as this new potential threat's motives remained in question.
