The scariest thing I've ever seen: need your help!

My family used to have a book, I think it was about ghosts or the afterlife, you know creepy things like that. Well I remember in that book there was an old black & white photograph and it's still the scariest thing I've ever seen. I'm hoping to find the photo again and I was wondering if anyone has seen it or can help.

I'll describe the photo, it's a very simple premise. A man was driving to his mother's funeral and someone took a photo of him, pretty certain while he was parked. The photo, which is of bad quality because it was probably taken in the 20's or something, showed the man behind the steering wheel and... in the darkened back seat of his car sat an old lady. His mother. Brrrrrr just gives me chills thinking about it.

Anyway if anyone out there knows where this photo is...

We used to have that Time Life set of books about the supernatural. My mom still may have them. I think they were in a set, but one of the scariest stories was one that sounds a bit like that. There was also a story in there where a mother is visited by her son, who was away at war, and come to find out, he had died that night. Scary.

Was it this image? I remember a smiliar story in a big ghost book I had a number of years ago, and this was the accompanying picture!

It does reek of old style fix up. Anything was scary in the 1950's. Hair, clothes, architecture, advancements in photography.

That photo is not. You have too see the one from shadows people or death spirit animals.

 

Meh, the Three men and a baby ghost story always freaked me out more.

It honestly looks like a man in the back to me. If you hadn't told me it was a "ghost" I wouldn't have picked up on it.
