The Shield, Season 3 (spoilers allowed)

Here's a thread for the greatest television show of all time...THE SHIELD!

Here we can talk about the possible final season of the Shield and what we hope to see/not see in the final episodes.

First off, will Mackey get away with the millions he stole from the mob? Will he and his wife get back together, or will he end up getting killed?

What about Danni? Will she get her job back?
And what up with Julian? Is he going to stay straight or go back to being gay?

 

Cool thread, dude. Im going to pick up Season Two on DVD later today so I have The Shield on the brain. I was thinking about starting a thread like this one myself.


Anyway, I think the third season will be very interesting. First off, I dont think that Vic will be killed, although I do think that a Strike Team member might. Perhaps Shane ? Or maybe the new guy ? Either way I think that theyre overdue for a major death considering that there really have been none since the show started. This stuff with the money is going to shatter the Strike Team, methinks.

Im also curious as to what will happen to Danni. I felt really bad that she took the fall for Vic and his boys. It seemed like she may have had some promise to become a detective, too. Either way I dont think that we've seen the last of her, though.

I also like the new dynamic with Claudette. Will she become the new Captain if Acevada leaves for politics ? I think her in charge could be cool, but I have mixed feelings about that because I like Acevada's dynamic with Vic.

Either way March cant come soon enough for me !

 

I have a feeling that the new guy is undercover for IA, and that he is investigating the death of the cop from the very first episode in season 1. The Strike Team will fall, or else they'll leave the country which is highly unlikely.

I think Aceveda won't win the election, and that will cause Claudette or Aceveda to possibly head up a new division over the Strike Team. Think of Claudette and Vic working together! How could they do their underground shenanigans without the protection of Aceveda?

Either way, this is going to be one sweet season! I think Lemonhead will die.

 

Yea, Lemonhead seems the most likely choice. Or maybe it'll be Ronnie ?

Also, after last season I cant possibly see Vic and Claudette working together in any capacity, and certainly not a friendly one.

 

That's what would be so intense. She won't let him cross the line that he created for himself! That would rock!

 

Yea, it seemed like they had a mutual respect for each other in the first season but obviously that's no longer the case.

 

Have they said if there will be a season 4 yet?

 

They wouldnt announce something like that so soon, but I wouldnt be too concerned if youre worried about it being cancelled. If the new season follows the same patterns critically and ratings-wise as the show did its first two seasons than I wouldnt worry about it at all.

 

Just figured Id up this for tonight's premiere. From what Ive read its a great episode and The Shield is back better than ever before.


Ive also read that the biggest shock to date is in store for the fifth episode...


And speaking of episodes, they've extended the season order from the usual 13 to 15 !
